Guns without recoil, no skills required, people flying everywhere, robots everywhere, soulless maps, connection problems, servers full of AI, the list goes on. This game is absolute trash, no update can save it.
It doesn't matter if you make a 3 hours documentary voiced by Morgan Freeman pointing all the game's problems. Some people are easily satisfied and just don't care about quality or depth to their products, hence why the industry has such low standards right now
Battlefield 2042 has been one long grueling session of watching DICE learn how to make a video game all over again. We're only here now because the communtiy had to verbally bash the devs over the head to tell them what should be in a Battlefield game. Imagine calling a fucking scoreboard a "brutal expectation".
Imagine being do dumb you think that's what they were referring too idk maybe the fact this game needs to run on og xbone yet yall expect the best possible game worthy of a next Gen experience... smhhh
Tbf most of the original devs of the _good_ battlefields have left, and so have the people responsible for executive design choices etc. It's not us watching dice learn how to do it again, we're watching a different DICE learning it for the first time Also, by now the game is definitely enjoyable. Not nearly the quality it's like but worth the 18 bucks I spent on buying myself the full copy today. Luckily there was a free week so I could test it. I owned it on console on release and it was HELL, now it is super fun and pretty addicting, just how I like my battlefield. Sometimes frustrating because TTK and balancing is a bit off, but it's a solid game now Only real problem I have is an issue where the game won't boot, which is a problem of the EA launcher I'm pretty sure
The factions are so boring too, it's US vs Russia except neither actually look like an army. They act like all of western Europe doesn't exist as well as every country in south America, Africa, or southeast Asia and especially china. But hey, more skins for the kiddos is more important than any sort of competent world building.
@@BLUESHYGUY8000 yeah battlefield 4 actually felt more like the end of the world since the 3 major global powers were killing each other in destroyed looking maps. Battlefield 2042 feels like a few mercenaries beating each other up in a parking lot- zero stakes, zero tension.
its because youre playing as "No-Pats" basically soldiers from countries who have collapsed and are now basically mercs under the control of russia and america, its a cool story idea but just comes off as a cheap way to sell operator skins
The biggest issue I have is being beamed from 100-150m away with weapons on full auto. Every weapon seems to have ridiculous range. Like an smg shouldn’t be challenging an ar at range in any circumstances. Edit, haha I wrote this before you started talking about engagement distances.
But it's crazy if people adjust their field of view they got almost no recoil at all I seen some pc players playing on TH-cam shooting lmgs at 100 150 meters like it's nothing with no recoil
I'm 46 and been gaming longer than most. My eldest is also a gamer and a Battlefield fan. I only tried 2042 because it was on Game Pass and I'm having fun but I don't sing its praises. I loved BC1 & 2, BF3 and BF4 and miss those days
I'm 40 and been playing BF since the first came out. Been plating DICE-games all the way back to Pinball Illusions and Pinball Dreams :) This is absolutely a fun game for a couple of hundred hours, but then it kinda dies down.. But lucky for us, we can just start BF1 or BF5 or BF3 Reality Mod or whatever floats your boat! There's always gonna be a battlefield just around the corner!
im 45, and at first, i was doing great. then todays update hit, and viola! i went from scoring atleast 10 kills to having 0. zero. got spanked. over n over. i at first thought, wow, its so much better than cod. update, then everyone is jump slide head shotting. spawn trapping, even executing me through a wall. oh well, back to waiting for a good fps.
@@ralphharrison6622 Yeah I think they started with the sliding back in BF1 and now its just in all the games.. It messes with the immersion and makes no sense seeing people slide around like derpy dolphins. But you know, Gen Z is a special kind of weirdos.
Astroturf salesman jack, no different than a lot of paycheck dependents of today. Permanently pushing the standards of quality of life down to secure that scrip. You can't just be direct about it like the old days either. You get assblasted with censorship for call outs. A simple "You arrogant ass, you've killed us" is more likely to be hidden under a pile of charlatans and useful idiots.
The issue with this which I'm starting to learn as I get older is this game was never meant for old BF fans. The reason we keep complaining is because we want the old BF basically but EA wants a newer fanbase. This reminds me of R6S and everyone hated it but they didn't change it because they knew they would lose the old fanbase but gain a new one. The last two BF games clearly was trying to get rid of us and gain a new fanbase but the games were trash so it didn't work. At least R6S was decent so it worked out for them. Tbh I just let BF go after 2042. I'll appreciate the BF for what it was and I hope the new fans like the direction the game is going in
@@Tuelz...Atleast 5 and 1 still was built from the foundation as a Battlefield game. 2042 was built as a BR style hero shooter, then was forced into a Battlefield game....that never felt like one and still doesn't for most of the time..
Most of you guys really dont see the real situation behind these games that are coming out recently. Take this piece of dog shit game for example. They knew the backlash would come from revealing the face of the sundance character so they hid it in their trailers. They never showed the goofy characters before preorders. For the most part of the trailer, they were showing us the properly dressed AI characters and when they showed any operator it was the serious and the tactical looking ones. So this shows one thing that they know what will trigger us beforehand and what we like and with these selective trailers they are manipulating their player base and after they take their pre-order money, they reveal what they were hiding from us. Now you start to question. they know the problems with their games before release, they know it will fail, but who is forcing them to make these changes?
I've been a diehard Battlefield fan since the beginning and I got to say that Battlefield 2042 is total f**king trash! It doesn't even slightly compare to Call of Duty modern warfare ll.
my main problem with the game is it feels way to clunky and sluggish, the movement is so rubber bandy and i just cant stand playing it. And none of the guns actually feel stronger or weaker, every gun is just a reskin that either does more or less damage
Worst BF, worst gun play, terrible weapons and attachments, specially scopes, most unconfortable FPS ever, I won't come back ever to this shitty game. That's the good thing about watching Enders, he always speaks the truth about how trash this game is.
2024 and there is still no more guns from bf3, bcbc2, no additional maps from the old games imported, no content whatsoever besides skins, this game sucks major a$$
Can someone tell me why doesn't EA take the best most popular Battlefield games, leave them as they are and just keep creating new paid maps for them so they can make money that way instead of risking everything on a new title? Just make like 20 new maps every 3-4 years for Battlefield 1, 3 and 4 as a way to at least bring in cash so failed experiments like 2024 don't threaten the franchise?
I think it's because of the weapon mechanism. Unlike Pubg, where everything is consistent, Bf 3,4 has too many limitations and their updates are based on the next versions, which is a serious mistake. Just imagine: a version of Battlefield with beautiful graphics and realistic gun effects like Bodycam, with as many players as Pubg, you face a new fear of UAVs throwing explosives and even while driving a vehicle. increases,...Frostbite explosion effects are optimized,...realistic wars taking place in the world today,...no weapons from the unknown future...
I saw battlefield 2042 being sold at target for $18 on PS5 and my first thought was “hold up didn’t this JUST come out? Why’s it so discounted” and now I know why 😂
Bought it yesterday, probably going to refund it tommorow, the game feels just plastic and fake, no atmosphere at all. Shooting gives no satisfaction at all, fucking hitmarker is all over the screen, every single gun feels the same due to no recoil. Holy shit, even those voicelines are terrible too.
Picked up the game yesterday for 10 euros. I had some fun in 64 player conquest, but the 128 player is most of the time unplayable, due to the massive vehicle spam and explosives AKA all the bullsh@t Enders mentioned in the previous video's. Like you said Enders, i had alot of fun these 4-5 h i played, but this is the bare bones minimum that the game should have launched. Take care keep up the good work man.
They ruined BF with 128 players. I went to play 64 player conquest, and the pacing feels so much better. It’s like ur not dying as much compared to 128 players.
I could use the same weapon in BFBC2 and BF3 for hundreds of hours and still not get bored of it. Last year when I jumped back on BF3 I was trying weapons I've never even used after over 3000+ hours playtime and I had a blast getting used to them, also being shocked how good they where but mainly the fact that I never got round to even trying them out. Meanwhile 2042 I'm completely bored of them all with 650 hours playtime. Even the newest weapons I find dull and that's because without any learning curve an just having basic pick up and play mechanics makes for a very boring game. You do not have to compensate for anything other than a little bit of recoil that actually feels off or quite random in 2042.
I think it's the fact that none of the guns in 2042 have their own personality, if that make sense. No unique recoil patterns to master, all the guns sound almost identical, same reload animations for all, ect. That's part of the reason why I love BF3 & BF4 gunplay. Each gun felt unique.
I feel like the weapons were designed by people who dont know about actual guns in real life they all feel sound and look the same to me somehow 0 passion
Weapons feel so utterly lame to use. You can see it especially in contrast to the current MW2 which arguably has one of the most immersive gunplays to date. Animation and Sound design itself is just on a completely different level. Even though they failed on every other aspect of the game, at least they got the guns right, and those have way more impact on the enjoyment of the game or gameplay than people might think.
The main reason I uninstalled this, becuz gunplay doesn't feel like BF anymore and the BF identity was lost since the og developers left DICE, so we got this turd
Bf4 was a broken disaster for a full year after launch and took 2 years of updates to make it the game it became. Bf1 has the most shallow gameplay in the series and was objectively the easiest bf game to play. Hardline was fun for a distraction, but didn't really feel like battlefield to many players. Bfv was an aimless mess for it's first year before covid killed it. So tell me when exactly was the last time battlefield launched this mythical perfect game that your claiming exists?
Alone the fact that you can see the name tags of enemy players makes this game very bad and uplayable, since this will help you alot to kill them (or make it easier for the enemy to kill you). You were able to spot an enemy through the smoke at 1:45 even though you did not see him, just because of the name tag. Thats a no go for me.
battlefield 2042 is good now me : okay I'll try it *moments later : getting killed by explosive rounds and projectiles Everything Everywhere All at Once
Only people who think this game is good are COD players who came over. This is literally call of duty 2.0. Terrible maps, no destruction, very generic and boring environments. This game plays like call of duty, which to any battlefield veteran, is just garbage!
Launch now and fix it later has been the dice motto since the battlefield mc 2 remaster. BF3 launched buggy and unbalanced and BF4 was unplayable. Took them months to fix both and now they are the goats. Not saying it's right just saying it happened.
Not crazy about Enders personality. But I still respect his skill and his insight/commentary on Battlefield. I still find myself agreeing with him 98% of the time. Man is spitting facts.
It was free on PS Plus a month or 2 ago, whenever it was. It's fun because it's free. Hell, the battlepass and market place make it feel like a free game too. Seriously, I feel bad for die hard players who been playing Battlefield for a long time.
Some of the primary technical issues with the game are related to the expansive compatibility list, which expires at the end of season 4. The recent engine threading update noticeably improved high end PC gameplay (not sure if it adversely affected potato rigs), but the server/client update rate is apparently running at 45hz, since "super bullets" are still a problem. I tend to look at BF2042 as a three year CTE for the new engine and next Battlefield, and hopefully they won't format it for children running 10 year old consoles on dialup.
Not lower tickrare but DICE decided to "update" their lag compensation to make the game more inclusive for "rural player". The same mindset made them get rid of scoreboard. The result is the game's hitreg is utterly broken. This game actually plays better on 100-150ping than lower ping.
@@Calvin_Coolage the game was sold with 4 seasons of support for the stated compatibilty list. they have slready stated that the next bf will exclude older hardware.
If we want a good game with the next Battlefield then this is the way. Dice has a habit of taking positive feedback and thinking that this is what people want. I guarantee they think specialist are good now and want to bring them to the next game. They will also think quality over quantity will work, instead of thinking quality with quantity will be great when it comes to content. Constructive feedback is better then just telling them how great they are doing.
They need to have some sort of competition to allure their older player base away from an EA/DICE Battlefield. Guarantee if that happens they’ll loose their shit and have to actually be smart about the product they put out.
Totally agree. IF released in this state, 2042 would probably be pretty decent/good right now after months of updates. It’s disappointing to think about the potential this game had if the developers had just stuck to the foundations and released the game in its current state :/
I am afraid we may never get gun play similar to battlefield 3 or 4 because the devs want little Timmy to have fun so he can get mom’s credit card to buy some cosmetics.
Also, no single player campaign! A few things annoys me the most: unbalanced helis that stays in the air for the hole game, the fact that I can't change squads (had to play solo for a few times) and overpowered gadgets (ex: Irish Sentinel radius and lack of failure rate) PS: I waited almost a year to buy the game and just did because it costed me 15 euros.
Meh. If Heli's are up and they are bothering you. Switch to recon and lock on with soflam as much as possible. Eventually some engineers will figure it out and take care of it. The Irish sentinel can be countered by grenades if you bounce it to get closer. Sundance works well with that. But I agree in that it should have a limited capacity and would need to be re placed when it runs out of defense ammo. Honestly ALL the specialist equipment should require support crates to replenish charges.
The game needs a lot of things such Flares, thermal sight on tanks, Commander, UCAV, AC-130, naval maps, gas grenade, battle pickups, DLC maps, campaign, ETC2
Im honestly sick of Jack frags saying the game is good now... It's never been good it's still trash and feels unfinished and thrown out the door....ive barely picked it up since it came out because it feels so terrible to play it. I have more fun on bf4 even now....
So pleased to see this. As someone who has both just downloaded bf2042 for free via PS+ (on ps4), and has also been hyper aware of these jack frags “BF2042 is GOOD NOW PLAY IT!” videos and the reception of those. Everything you’ve mentioned is absolutely factual, from lack of vehicle mechanics resulting in a lower vehicle skill gap, lack of content, lack of balance, but I’ve got to say the absolute worst thing about this title is the fact it quite simply should of been illegal to advertise it the way they did with the last gen version. It’s a shell of an already broken game… the input delay is worse than anything I’ve ever played in my life (including free IOS games), the already underwhelming full maps are even worse on last gen, and worst of all the single shot glitch that still gets me killed 3/4 times a game at least, etc. I’m having fun, but I will not except people calling this a “good game”, it’s an insult to a franchise I’ve loved for a decade.
Me and my buddies play this game on last-gen and honestly we don't know what you're talkin about. The game feels really really good in fact the input delay is hardly there at all and they're still patching it but only an idiot wouldn't realize that. Lack of vehicle Mechanics? What do you want the vehicles to do have the ability to do a backflip? Pretty much everything that vehicles can do in the past games they can do in 2042. You really not making much sense here which somehow makes sense and is not surprising.
@@stratejic1020 I’m gonna apologise in advance for being rude but you’ve given me good license to ask what is most likely a stupid question at this point in proceedings… Are you fucking deluded? 1: the input delay most certainly is there, and only an idiot would think its acceptable that a year and a half into the life cycle of a game that cost £70 or so the input delay is still this catastrophically bad, especially given that to access half of the features advertised (portal, hazard zone, certain MP modes) you need to enable cross play with next gen/ PC just to find servers, ultimately meaning you have to sacrifice any competitive edge you may have had as a skilled player just for an entry ticket to content you purchased. 2: This is the embarrassing one mate. No……….. I do not want the vehicles to do backflips you colossal moron, and from that display of a complete lack of understanding I’m going to assume you’ve got an IQ below room temperature or haven’t played a battlefield title prior to BFV (or likely, both). In previous games the vehicles had vast skill ceiling’s, a bunch of strats, and it would genuinely take hundreds if not thousands of hours to even understand what mastery even meant for a particular vehicle. In battlefield 2042 the vehicles- and particularly the aircraft- feel floaty, weightless. There is no longer a high level of skill and understanding needed to truly profit of them, just hop in, click ‘assisted flight’😕 and lap up the rewards. The transports are STILL the most powerful vehicles… There are bugs that still make the game almost unplayable. The balance between portal content and AOW content is abysmal to the extent that certain content creators are downright telling people not to use certain portal guns until they’re “fixed”……. A year and a half and 40 something updates in to the games life cycle, and there’s a fucking plethora of other things I could sit here and rant about, but by god I’m obliged to remind you that this game was sold unfinished, broken, to a fan base that were told the game would be a love letter to them. I AM HAVING FUN but that is irrelevant. This game is abysmal.
@@matthewmorley310 anything you say here doesn't matter because the game is getting better and whether you like that or not that's what's going to end up happening so you can cope and seethe all you want it doesn't matter
Couldn't agree more, as an old-school BF player I miss the airports and control towers that could be destroyed, man did we ever have fun repairing those towers. Now we spawn straight into an aircraft. I also miss the commander and repairing the artillery, I miss all those types of strategies. Everything you said is spot on, wish more people come out with all the problems with the game but so many people just don't have the balls....
My general mindset on the series has always been "Do not touch a Battlefield game until it has had at least between 6 months to a year to get the wrinkles out, day 1 release has always been rough since BF3" Except with 2048, these wrinkles have evolved into full blown tears, and need a full, professional sewing job to get it right. And even then, there's just some tears that have been created that cannot be ironed out.
I don't care if the game is top tier, the fact they released this game in the state that it was in is disgusting. You people literally got robbed if you bought this or preordered when it first released. I said it before and ill say it again, DICE lost me as a customer and I will never buy a bf game again. Actions have consequences and these devs + EA gave us not even a half ass effort game but a ''idgaf they will still buy it'' type of game. Respect yourself as gamers. P.S Shout to ender for actually telling the truth and not being a TH-cam shill. MUCH RESPECT to you sir
Battlefield 2042 players have called me insane for saying this game sucks. This easily proves that there's almost nobody left from the old Battlefield community that would never have tolerated the quality and state of this game. I have temporarily quit playing fps games altogether, but I like to drop by on videos like this every once in a while just to see if anything has improved or gotten worse.
I've died more times to the CRAM and the Superhind more then I can count. It's nearly impossible to destroy these overpowered vehicles if you're the only person targeting them
Battlefield is a teamwork style game. Person vs vehicle has never and will never work. It’s beyond simple to kill vehicles in this game if you’re working together. Killed by a vehicle? Spawn as engineer and take care of it. Stop relying on everyone else to do shit for you. (This is to everyone as a whole… not a personal attack.) 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@pepjuise24 you understand it doesnt just take 1-2-3 rockets to kill transports right? Battlefield 4 allowed you to simply one shot transport helis with rpgs, but it wasnt that easy, but neither was getting kills in the transport. The 2042 system is unbelievable, get a squad of friends and you are invincible in the transport helis. Even against multiple enemies trying to shoot you down.
@@Kevin-zk1ir I get that. And you’re right. But there’s still the possibility that at any time, at least 32 rocket style weapons can be shooting at these vehicles. They have to be made to take a couple hits. Players need to be quicker to switch class and handle it. 🤷♂️
I just dont like the game period, it doesn’t look or feel like a battlefield game. It tried to be something it’s not to appeal to more players from other game franchises, that it lost its identity in the process. Compare this game to BF3 (IMO the best in the franchise) and it completely shits on this garbage arcade COD/Apex knockoff
Like you, I don't understand why people can't grasp the concept of being critical of something you love because you love it and you want it to be better. Thanks for continuing to not be a corporate shill.
I agree with some problems and the fact that the game released in the worst state but half of what you said after that was lies and the other half was just skill issues. I'm not saying its a good game, just that your arguments are not real sound like skill issues (the part on the vehicules for exemple).
Couldn't agree more, I still enjoy hopping on with friends. But even so many of the basic quality of life features are either straight up dumb, or missing. And the engagement distances comment was on point, I don't even want to run a sniper anymore because it feels pointless most of the time, used to love sniping
To sum up this video ... no matter what updates or improvements come out for this game because they weren't there from get-go; Enders will say its trash and post videos about it calling it trash. There saved anyone 10mins ~
This why I keep saying I have no hope for the next BF game, in general people have accepted this game as being good now, and that this is the standard that Dice has to meet. Personally I wanted more of leap forward with this game in all areas, in map design, game mechanics, weapons, and destruction. To improve all these things takes time and talent, which is another reason for why I don't think we are going to ever get a really great BF game. The devs they have now clearly don't have what it takes to make a great BF game.
It is the worst Battlefield game since Battlefield 4...easily. It is still a good game. It will never reach the level of top tier Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 3. Hell, it won't even reach 2nd tier games like Battlefield 1 or V. It is clearly in the "bad" tier of games like Battlefield 4 or Bad Company 2. Those bad games are still really good.
@@BaNgInHeAdS battlefield 4 was fun actually. Battlefield Hardline was the one everyone hated the most at one point 😂 Update: yes I actually liked hardline with the cops and robbers theme.
The core issues that I feel will never be resolved is destruction and the amount of playable vehicles at once being low. Like I get there needs to be some balance to the amount of vehicles on the field but it seemed like pst games had much more active vehicles during battles. I could almost always secure a tank in BF4 or BF1 etc. seems they abandoned destruction and more vehicles for larger maps and more people.
I remeber the days of BF3. that's my most top BF game ever. compareing it to BF2042 is like compareing sh*t to a diamond. and you know which is what. if the next BF game won't be at least somewhat close to BF3 or BF4 - i won't even think to buy it.
Even if BF3 released now people would be playing it in the next 15 years until 2038 it was way ahead of it's time. BF4 was definitely the start of the downfall and it's just gotten awful since
Battlefield 2042 is unplayable on console due to hackers. It's the same problem every Battlefield but yet they continue to put PC and console together. I'm glad Battlefield 2042 failed perhaps next time they will put PC on it's own.
I like the game. I've put 300 hours into it, and what's funny though is today I said the exact same thing about this game, if it had come out with everything up until this point, would have had almost none of the controversy we've had to deal with. But it just needs more support. There's been a dramatic shift in DICE's ability to listen since the new leadership has come in, here's to a season 6-8
Just watching it makes me sad for the battlefield franchise. The twitch shooting laser beam nature of that gun and the insane movement is just not battlefield. Battlefield was the middle ground between MilSim and COD. It felt meaty and the destruction was an incredible USP... they've lost the soul of the game. I can imagine an alternate reality now where we're on BF6 and they release Destruction 3.0, buildings not only fall down but they crumble, you can jack hammer through walls with larger caliber weaponry etc... Oh what could have been. Instead it's bunny hopping multicoloured flying clowns with laserbeams.
@@EndersFPS I never said it was close to milsim, I said it was a middle ground. As in it didn't have unhindered insane movement with no limits that COD has always had, and it didn't have the super slow interia style arma/tarkov movement either. The mechanics of the movement, weaponry and equipment made it feel more measured in how it played out. You could still have mad aim moments but the acceleration and movement felt much slower, especially in BC2. The weapons felt chunky, the movement felt mid, albeit not inertia based but you weren't bunny hopping and sliding around. You would make smart decisions to LOS people and get up to the points of contention. Now it's hyper speed, sliding, full W, flying, no recoil, jiggle peeking corners etc.
I agree. You can enjoy the game, I certainly do, but you cannot give DICE and EA a pass. It was nowhere near being close to finished when it was released and that is borderline criminal, and unethical at the very least. Accepting broken games and forgiving companies after a certain amount of time sets a terrible precedent in gaming.
Totally agree with most of your statements. However, I believe that they put OP weapons in the game on purpose and not because they are dumb. This is totally intended for people to react in a way like "Oh, check out this crazy new gun that shreds people like bots...". They hope for people to return to the game because of totally overdrawn new weapons, just to nerv them again after too many of the remaining fanbase players have heavily complained about them. They try to draw people's attention. As always: Any news is good news.
This is so silly why would you hear "this gated battlepass weapon you need to grind out is overpowered" and then think people will willingly reinstall and subject themselves to dying to it just to reach BP40 and earn it themselves? Noone does that.
@@Peppermintnull It's a playbook from Call of Duty. People are more inclined to buy the Battlepass and play more. Then they will nerf it a month later just as the masses start getting it.
You are correct, it's lowering the bar. If you didn't play for a while and check it out now for a few hours now and then, it's OK, it's fun, it has some connect. But it doesn't last, the issues come nagging at you as soon as you play some more. And it pales in comparison to previous titles. And keep on mind that it's super likely that the next bf title will be built on the same engine and foundation. Minus any improvements of the last year. When we learned one thing, then that the next title starts many steps behind, never from the last state of the predecessor. Or in other words, don't expect a scoreboard in the next bf.
I think people are just coping and seething because the game is getting better and people don't like that because they got attached to hating this game people do that with a lot of things they're angry about their lives or they have something going on and so they need an outlet and Battlefield 2042 was an outlet and now it's losing that status.
@@stratejic1020 I think there are two things here. On one side it's great when a hand with issues gets support and is fixed until it is better. And it's fine and good to state that it's better now, maybe even generally good if you'd start with it just now. The other thing is, that we as consumers should be lots and clear that our is not OK to deliver an unfinished product for full price and take over a year to make it ok. And it's also OK to compare our with other releases which delivered more content on less time. And everyone should remember, when the next bf hype train starts, not to preorder or buy on release, until you are sure about the state of the release. If they take another 1,5 years to make it a finished product, then we should wait until then before we spend money. The moment you pay is the moment your send a message, that this is OK and worth the money. And if we now go on line bf is great now and all is fine, you just give the approval to release buggy crap with few bad maps and few weapons, to release a shooter without a scoreboard.
Don't get me started guys 😂

@NateZurlent yes I do
@NateZurlent this is the worst games to be called BF no class weapon restrictions no one plays correctly
The biggest issue I have is being beamed from 100-150m away with weapons on full auto. Every weapon seems to have ridiculous range. Like an smg shouldn’t be challenging an ar at range in any circumstances.
Edit, haha I wrote this before you started talking about engagement distances.
This alone destroys the game.
But it's crazy if people adjust their field of view they got almost no recoil at all I seen some pc players playing on TH-cam shooting lmgs at 100 150 meters like it's nothing with no recoil
Like the MTAR21 having the same range as a M16, that shit is funny. MP9s and the new AC9 got some crazy range too with them short ass barrels

The worst thing about 2042 is that it was so bad that some idiots started praising BFV in return
True.🤔

I've been a diehard Battlefield fan since the beginning and I got to say that Battlefield 2042 is total f**king trash! It doesn't even slightly compare to Call of Duty modern warfare ll.
Literally one of the worst AAA games of all time. That's never changing.
my main problem with the game is it feels way to clunky and sluggish, the movement is so rubber bandy and i just cant stand playing it. And none of the guns actually feel stronger or weaker, every gun is just a reskin that either does more or less damage
Modern gaming in a nutshell. Release a broken, threadbare, glorified alpha, sell it for £70, and call it "live service"

He said beta was fun. People have the memory of goldfish
I don’t blame him. His career depends on the game/series being popular
Yeah, they could also add eastern front to the BFV because this is fucking ridiculous that WW2 game doesn't have it. Also no France or Italy XD
Very well said. Just cause the game isnt as shit as it was launch doesn't mean its a good game suddenly. Its still painfully mediocre
Remember when they tried to tell a story about war?

Here’s a fact. BF 2042 is a downgrade to past BF games. Literally the game has no similarity to past BF games.
I bought the elite version on sale for 20 bucks, tried it for a few hours and holy shit this game is absolute garbage. Just requested a refund
Recoil, what's that? People nowadays just want to hold the fire button down at any range.
@@Wolfdog1942 Who cares about realism? BF is a casual shooter lmao.

Sure, Battlefield 2.
Battlefield 1 from 2016 running on an Xbox series X at 120fps looks and feels way better than Battlefield 2042 running at 60fps in 2023.

What do you mean the conpatibility expires? Are they shutting off last-gen console versions of the game or something after Season 4?
@@Calvin_Coolage the game was sold with 4 seasons of support for the stated compatibilty list. they have slready stated that the next bf will exclude older hardware.

Battlefield 2042 is free on PS Plus but I still feel scammed.
Specialists are indeed coming next game, along with a "classic" mode, some of that information was leaked weeks ago.
They need to have some sort of competition to allure their older player base away from an EA/DICE Battlefield. Guarantee if that happens they’ll loose their shit and have to actually be smart about the product they put out.
Dice did such a great job everyone 👏 at making me disappointed again with Battlefield.
Totally agree. IF released in this state, 2042 would probably be pretty decent/good right now after months of updates. It’s disappointing to think about the potential this game had if the developers had just stuck to the foundations and released the game in its current state :/
Why the shields???
I mean is this Rainbow six?
I am afraid we may never get gun play similar to battlefield 3 or 4 because the devs want little Timmy to have fun so he can get mom’s credit card to buy some cosmetics.
Sadly, I think you're right 🤦♂️
Ugh I fear this is the truth
@NateZurlent not me but yea people would lol!
Why no body mentioned that this game has the worst theme song in the series
cause its so bad nobody even thinks of it
Also, no single player campaign! A few things annoys me the most: unbalanced helis that stays in the air for the hole game, the fact that I can't change squads (had to play solo for a few times) and overpowered gadgets (ex: Irish Sentinel radius and lack of failure rate)
PS: I waited almost a year to buy the game and just did because it costed me 15 euros.
@NateZurlent only Bad Company single player
They lost me when they didnt include a single player campaign and habing to be always online. Never looked back.
The transports are STILL the most powerful vehicles…
There are bugs that still make the game almost unplayable.

My general mindset on the series has always been "Do not touch a Battlefield game until it has had at least between 6 months to a year to get the wrinkles out, day 1 release has always been rough since BF3"
Except with 2048, these wrinkles have evolved into full blown tears, and need a full, professional sewing job to get it right. And even then, there's just some tears that have been created that cannot be ironed out.

@@handrewmillan4293as annoying as they are it doesn't hurt to have plenty of options in your game
@@manwithballsonarm6775 yes it does lol
Tf are you talking about. Vehicles are fucking everywhere and annoying af
Probably one of the best videos you've ever released
My opinion battlefield 2042 is in a way better shape than it was when it first came out for me
I like the game.
SquidG is the embodiment of a battlefield 2042 shill
Keep preaching - getting better , yes of course but GOOD , hell no
Also the maps are utter dog sh*t... Visually pleasing but thoughtlessly designed
As a film reviewer, I run into the exact same problem with the "lowering the bar" issue. Solid video!
thats why they are starting a year two on bf2042
Battlefield was literally never close to a MILSIM game lol. Battlefield has always been a faster paced shooter when you watch proper gameplay
This is one of my favorite videos, say it louder for the smooth brains in the back
you have sad taste in visual entertainment, then.
@@nathanielbeven9052 well we're both here watching a 2042 video so yes we both do
@@Peppermintnull I certainly didn't. I uninstalled when this season dropped instead.
@@Peppermintnull It's a playbook from Call of Duty. People are more inclined to buy the Battlepass and play more. Then they will nerf it a month later just as the masses start getting it.
Actually based take.

nah they're just delusional
Long time player here! My son and I both were very upset with 2042, just now looking at it again cause of the expansions. You're absolutely right!!
Megacorp, without anyone actually caring or having ownership of the greater product.
@@stratejic1020. Wow, this is a lot of copium you're smoking.
Ill be honest even of this game is "complete" the game itself is trash, i enjoyed all of their games (yes even BFV) but this one is a HUGE miss
