@AboveAverageAngler but when you do get one all the blank days are soon forgotten, it's the best feeling when you bend into a salmon but your heart sinks when they throw the hook

I tend to just fish for trout and coarse fish these days, I never had the patience for all the blanking involved with salmon fishing, even in the good old days 😂 You've inspired me, I've just returned from a holiday in Sutherland, I fished the Kyle and Dornoch firth for saltwater sea trout and blanked. I've some lovely footage of the scenery so I'm not going to waste it, I'll get a video out of the trip!!😊 Subbed 👍
fished it loads of times there, had one at Hodder foot pool and one just before Calder foot, its a bit to early yet to be that far up the ribble, they don't usually show up there until the end of may early June or even later in some seasons. anyways its a beautiful place to be fishing regardless if you don't get a fish, tight lines for the rest of the season.

When they were doing the tagging program they had them from March further up stream so you never no. It’s a lovely beat that’s for sure

Caught bigger with kids net down edisford and brungerley and we were not bull shitting with fancy talke and cheap tackle
