I have been waiting for a proper Octopus monster for so long (Nakarkos is a Cuttlefish and Yama Tsukami is a more fantastical kind of cephalopod) The moment i saw the Black Flame, i was sold on the design and concept, a huge lava Mimic Octopus. What an awesome animal to take inspiration from!
I don’t get the hate for uth duna, it looks pretty and mythological but ugly and monstrous and realistic at the same time. Also the armor concepts we got for it look amazing so I’ll take it!
I hope the little crocodile guy in the windward plains gets a large monster version like royal ludroth, an ambush based crocodile monster thats really long a low to the ground could be very cool, as well as the raptor guys, i love their face and wanna fight a bigger one
I'm honestly impressed with the Congalala glow up. My initial problem was the lack of color in the environment and monsters, but Capcom's live hunts showed how rich the colors are. I was honestly confused as all hell seeing slimes organically in the gameplay, knowing it's just an arachnophobia toggle is honestly a weird decision.
18:33 During the beta I found a huge bonepile labeled as a Gajios. It was around the size of a Balahara. Not sure if its foreshadowing or just a random secret. (Do not reply to me with leaked/datamined info please)
Ray Dau easily shot up to my new favorite monster in the series looks awesome and the sound design brings it to a 11/10 for me, and honestly every new monster I've seen in this game (other then Doshaguma) has so much creativity in their designs so incredibly hyped for this game Also sick video keep 'em coming brother love the content!
Ajarakan is hitting me how Lunagaron did when I first saw it, being that I felt nothing and it passed right through me. Big spikey animal with little else of note, I thought. But in Lunagaron's case, my opinion flipped when I actually fought it. I'm hoping it's the same thing with Ajarakan. I have IMMDIATELY loved every new monster design so far though, even Uth Duna and Rompopolo. They really are cooking with this one.
After having sunk quite some time into FFXIV the Seikret looks so similar to the Chocobo that I actually thought it was some kind of franchise crossover or something.
Balahara is a new combination of Ludroth and Jyuratodus. Quematrice is a combination of the mythical Cockatrice and Glavenus. Uth Duna's coloring is a nod to Gobul from Tri and 3U.
giant squid reminds me of nightmare from DMCV just the way its skin moves I wonder if they have it animated at 30FPS while the games 60FPS just to make it feel unnatural
Tetsucabra and Zamtrios are both considered amphibians, I hope they return. Balahara reminds me more of a snake rather than a Leviathan, so I hope Najarala returns too. Rey Dau is my favorite of the announced monsters, but Uth Duna's armor is the most desirable.
Out of every monster teased so far, Uth Duna is probably the one that gets me the most excited. I don't know why, but it kinda just screams Godzilla monster. I feel like something along the lines of Uth Duna could've been placed in KOTM or something. Also, here's a hot take. Rey Dau's theme is top 10 of all MH themes.
Personally I'm a little concerned about the lack of returning monsters cuz in my mind it should be a 50/50 thing between old and new unless there's a good reason to have it one way or the other, I still need to know if this game tale place in the old world, but this is my wishlist for each map For the windword plains I really wanted Gendrome, qurupeco, diablos and Monoblos, Seregios, daimyo hermitaur, Akura vashimu, Odibatorasu, Tigrex, sand Barioth, copper Blangonga, desert Seltes & Queen, shourded Nerscyla, barroth, rust Duramboros, Anjanath, glavenus, Tigerstribe Zamtrios, Rukadiora For the scarlet forest I still want Velocidrome, yian garuga, Gypceros, nargacuga, espinas, astalos, crimson qurupeco, plesioth, Kecha wacha, Gogomoa, somnacath, Royle ludroth, Lagiacrus, mizutsune, zinogre, Duramboros, Seltes & Queen, Najarala, Tetranadon, Chemelos, Kirin And for the oilwell basin I still want Iodrome, Tetucabra, Nerscyla, Basarios, Gravious, brachydios, Agnaktor, Akantor, teostra, lunastra And for a ice map id hope for a tundra and I'd want, wulgs so we can have great wulg, giadrome, Blangonga, gigginox, jade barroth, banbaro, fulger Anjanath Barioth, Goss harag, banbaro gammoth, ukanlos, kushala, rusted kushala, velkhana, oroshi Kirin I'd also want rajang, Bazelgeuse, deviljho and nergigante to all return with the variants as Invaders And lap shen lung shen goaren, Gogmazios, dalamadur white fatalis Re endgame boss monsters I'd love to see return And if it's possible map wise I would like to see Baruragaru
I honestly think that one of the elder dragons is gonna be the nacarkos (I don't know if it's spelled that way), maybe in a dlc, but it would be a waste of time to make a squid model and not bring back the squid elder dragon
Quematrice is the smallest brute wyvern yet, like Great jaggi sized. We saw it getting bodied by talioths during the scarlet forest showcase so no it's definitely not like Doshaguma in terms of strength. It's more between Chatacabra and Balahara
Doshuguma was the biggest surprise out of the beta. The fight with it is really engaging and good. Has in-depth mechanics and a fantastic moveset. Not to mention if you were lucky enough a 5 star difficulty doshuguma could spawn which apparently was the only monster that could true one shot from max health and defense available in the beta. Despite running around for hours I did not find one. Guess thats a full game release goal now. Rey Dau was surprising my biggest disappointment of the beta. Visually and sound design wise Rey is S tier but fight wise... for a so called apex its a pushover. Doesnt have a huge move pool. Its attacks are slow and have too much build up imo giving you huge windows to get away. His mechanic of the railgun leaves him completely exposed and gives you a free stagger for a focus strike. If you generate a weak point on its legs and focus strike its a GUARANTEED knockdown. Rey Dau needs to hit the gym. Boy does not meet my expectation of an Apex.
The Black glame is the design so far imo ( Rey Dau is cool also ) Uth Duna is nowhere near Namielle from what i saw ... but i love the new monsters. btw Chatacabra is the best new Punching Ball ever ... let's pray for more difficult monsters quickly cos for now it is as easy as Rise so far... and that Worries me a lot...
I like all the bosses so far. The only thing I didn't like about Wilds was the auto-pathing mounts. When you hop on a mount it should not move, it should wait for your input. Than if you want to select, YOURSELF, auto-path, it can auto-path. But don't forcibly hold my hand, that kind of thing is ANNOYING.
The pack mechanic was kinda a let down. Run in and dung pod and it's a regular hunt. Even if you fight them all together, they will split after a while.
All Peak, all top 5 in the series (yes I know there's more than 5, shut up), all S tier, all ugly and beautiful at the same. If you don't agree argue with a wall. Monster Hunter Wilds is GOATED
Gonna be real, Im not huge on Lala Barina's design. The rose abdomen is way too on-the-nose, as if it had an actual rose growing on it rather than just being a structure that happens to look rose-like. It looks more like a Pokemon than a MH monster imo. Holy hell though, its gear is phenomenal. Its Chargeblade is gorgeous
Eh... As much as I like World monsters such as Odogaron, Pukei, Legiana and etc., the roster in that game was definitely much weaker compared to Wilds, rise and the older games, mainly due to the fact that it lacked variety compared to other titles. Almost every single one of them was some type of reptile (most of which were dragons)and only one mammal in the form of Rajang that appeared during the update for an expansion.
@@chadafiy in terms of ecology, I guess. Considering that Great Jagras a social pack animal that interacts with its smaller brethren, while Chatacabra is a solitary monster. In terms of design... One is just a fat iguana with dreads, while the other one is a mix of toad and gorilla (and a little bit of alligator in face) that can stick materials to its fists after leaking them with its tongue. Who sounds more interesting?
Uth duna is the best design so far for me, never have we had a true deep sea streamline bodyplan analogue in monhun
Exactly plus the waves it made look like a true apex.
Exactly. The monster looks amazing and the weapons and armor will definitely be the same itself. February can't come soon enough
for me it’s ajarakan and uth duna and the black flame they definitely get that podium and they all got me the most hyped

I would love to see that crocodile get a large version, the deserts could use a water hole crocodile that would be awesome

Every game with bugs have that as an option 😅
i'd love for the slimes to become some kind of monsters. closest thing we have are the fat belly monsters and rompopolos gas pockets

I am a fan of roosters
The big rooster has my approval
QUEMATRICE

I’m excited to hunt Ajarakan

It’s mostly an ecology thing. I’m sure the full game will have more interesting interactions with packs tho
