Thank you for this simple, straightforward video. I've got to replace the passenger rear one on my 2020 CX-5 once the part arrives and wasn't sure where to start. Hopefully it's a similar process.
You will need a clip with a flat end to slide into the flare and a pointed end to go into the car frame. Here is a link to an Amazon product that should work. Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing: www.amazon.com/Gistilli-Compatible-68172491AA-68271803AA-68395627AA/dp/B0BY7ZLLN9/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=fender+flare+clips&qid=1696189986&sr=8-5
What about screwing then back on. Counter sink. And cover holes? I’ve replaced them 3 times in a year. Dealer said they’re bad parts. Will keep coming off. 😩
Any way that you could get them to stay is worth trying. I’ve replaced two so far. I have wondered if the issue is more with the frame and now how they are attached. Thanks for watching!
I have to do the same install on my 2017 Mazda CX-3. Parts came with clips installed but having a hard time with them gripping the holes as they seem to not want to snap in. any tips as to how to get them to snap all the way in place?

anyone who bought the 200 pcs ... wanna sell a few? instead of us all buying 200 of those little buggers? maybe a pack of 10 or something for say 5 plus shipping? you can recover your cost quickly and keep us all from buying stuff we dont need ... lol
I used this website: www.carparts.com You can also do a web search for a Mazda CX-5 fender flare and look at several options. Thanks for the question! Good luck.
Thanks for the advice and video, my CX9 lost the the rear flare, I have the part, it came with all the "buttons" from "Mazda swag" I am sure the technique is the same.
Any idea how to get the fender flare off? Road debris ripped off the rear mud flap (not mud guard) and I can get a mud guard online and need to remove the fender flare without breaking the pins. I had a remover set... TIA
I will admit that it was hard for me to remove a broken flare without breaking it more. I’ll have to do a little research. When I tried to remove it slowly it still bent.
I checked around and most people use a special fork shaped pry bar tool to remove the fender flares. You have to move pretty slowly to not break the pins. Hope this helps.
@@Amora66489 I am planning on making a removal video but it probably won’t get done until December. I’ll respond to you once I post it or you can subscribe and ask for notifications and TH-cam will tell you when new videos are out. Thanks.
I have heard that it is hard to remove. You need a special type of pry bar tool but a small hammer or flat pry bar may work. Here is an link for reference: www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-18-in-Steel-Pry-Bar-Set/1000594875 Hope this helps!

That is tricky. The best way is with a special pry bar. You can pick them up at any home improvement store. Looks like a long screwdriver but with a v shaped tip for prying.
I searched online, as I do for all of my purchases, and after researching a few different options from different sites, I used eBay. eBay has a lot of options, just make sure to check out the reviews. Hope this helps!

These parts are horribly made. Had to weld my plastic clips back on the underside. If this doesn’t work, I’ll drill right through and cover the screw heads.
Is it weird to love a total stranger so fast? Thank you, Marcus!
Greg, you made my day! Thanks for the great comment.
Thanks for making this simple video. I just got my replacement wheel trim and had no idea what to do. This video was a great help!

Do you have a video for the rear fender flare…I think there are a few small differences and have to replace ours
I do not have one but I am working on that and a removal video. Thanks.
Thanks for this video - a seemingly simple task, but this helped me get my CX-9's flare back on my son's car.
Glad I could help!
What fender clips would I need if they don't come attached to it

Good video. Where do I get buy the pins & tabs you put in at the end ?
I bought the pins on Amazon. They are nylon push rivets. I’ve used them on several things around the house and garage.
What if the original bolt (the first one you snap in) is still in place? What’s the easiest removal method?
Do you mean the nylon clips or the white clips that are already in the fender flare?

I imagine the rear flare is handled much the same way?
While I haven’t attached a rear flare I do believe they are very similar.
May I ask where you got the part? I am looking for a Mazda CX-9 fender flair
I got mine on carparts.com
Good price and the part was a perfect fit. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Does it have the same color as the original one?
Yes it does. When I ordered my part it had dark grey listed, which is what I needed.
I ask a question is the front one the same size as the back one?
They are different. You need to make sure that you specify which one you need before you buy. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2019 cx-9 I’m seeing $150 - $200 for the rear passenger one, are the ones you are getting the exact same as the original?

what size push fastener did you use? do you have an amazon link?
