  • This Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre is in bad condition and it needs some love and care. I bought this vintage watch on eBay. I love the JLC watches and especially their calibers. This one is equipped with the 812 caliber. Lets see if I can improve this beautiful Jaeger LeCoultre vintage watch

    Beautiful watch, brilliant servicing work and very enjoyable to see as a video. Your choice of watches is excellent and your watch collection is expanding nicely. Bumper automatics are some of the nicest watches to wear as the movement of the rotor between the springs feels like the watch's heart beat.
    I checked the 812 JLC movement on the CousinsUK website and I think that they had the 3rd wheel and stem you were after, but the wheel was mighty expensive.
    Looking forward to your next watch success!! TC

    Ah, a bumper! I was not expecting that when you removed the caseback. I have a sweet spot for bumpers and have 2 myself but they are not JLC 🙂 I'm typing this at 2:52 so have no idea what the end result is, but can you feel the rotor bumping when you wear the watch? Mine do, it's part of the charm.
    Now to watch the video, as usual this one is gonna be good, I can feel it already.

    Nice video as always man! I always appriciate them, just a thing to participate to the conversation: actually still today JLC use monodirectional winding rotor because they state that this type of charcing sistem is more efficient than the bidirectional one. No more the bumper rotor of course because it is not so efficient as you stated already, I hope you find this information interesting and usefull and I hope too see other JLC on gour channel!

      @heiner71 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is how the brand is commonly pronounced. The guy Edmond Jaeger was a French national, so he would likely pronounce his name in a French way and not how a Dutch wants him to pronounce his name. 🙂

      André Citroen had Dutch ancestors but was born in Paris. Hence 'Citroën' and not 'Citroen'. Edmond Jaeger had German ancestors, but was born in France as well. Hence the French pronunciation, that also the current CEO of the company uses. But to avoid all problems you can just say 'JLC'.
