Pyrrha can only talk around her problem because it's such a highly classified secret....but Jaune lacks the context to understand how much his words hurt......"You can't let anything get in your way...." (not even your love for me).....he breaks her heart with that line....and has no idea how or why.....it's so sad......

Edit: also forgot to mention that even though penny is a robot, no one else at beacon was aware of it. So, when penny got torn apart, to everyone else, it looked like pyrrah murdered a human.
It's subtle here, and probably hard to tell without subtitles but Cinder and Emerald say, "Stick with me and you'll never go hungry again." "Thank you." which aligns pretty well with what Roman said to Mercury. "If it were up to me, I'd take you and your little street rat friend here". Also, thinking back to Mercury, "That was him alright. Black hair, wields a scythe, and smelled like my dad after a long day." Qrow was piss-drunk when he was fighting Winter. So since Mercury killed his dad, that can say a few things about what kind of assassin or person Marcus was. Seeing Yang well up with tears as her voice cracks and says, "Blake??" gets me every time, gosh.
So wait?!… Did mercury kill his own father?! Did I miss that? When I saw that Yang was tearing up because of Blake… Not gonna lie, I almost lost it. Some water was forming in my own eyes because that emotion was real. The facial expressions and the subtle tears forming was a bit too much for me to remember that I’m recording🤣😭 I can’t wait for these next three chapters because I want to see how Pyrrha takes everything that just happened in. From accepting to be the new fall maiden, to decapitating Penny, with all the stress going on… What does she have to say? I cannot wait for the next episode I never noticed that about Ruby but that does make a lot of sense! I forget that her scythe is technically a sniper rifle
I love the scene with Pyrrha and Jaune because he’s basically saying if you think forgetting me is what’s right then do it. Because at this point she doesn’t know if she will be herself after she takes half of the fall maidens powers. And it’s such a gut-wrenching thing because he’s saying to her forget me and do your destiny. But she doesn’t wanna forget him like the songs has said in volume 2 she believed in love when he was around. It’s just such a good scene between them both. Oh yeah and fully welcome to the fandom with these episodes 🥴. My first cliff hanger from getting into rwby was chapter 9 and I couldn’t believe it and I had to wait for volumes and episodes ever since 😅😂

It is RIDICULOUSLY difficult to hype yet not spoil reactors for this, I'm proud of my fellow FNDM who have been watching you! Though it always makes it worth it to get to relive the RAW emotion of this episode. The one where RWBY proves it can kill someone named, someone loved. It's a really stark turn for the happy-go-lucky little show we had when we started watching back in volume 1, but it's also perfect for the show to have gone here. There's something just visceral about the first time experiencing this, which is I think one of the major reasons why RWBY reactions are super popular and the FNDM flocks to new reactors. We can't personally have this experience for the first time *again*, but we can share it with others and relish in seeing them. And yet this is far from the end, there's a lot more amazing show ahead! I have something I want to say about the structure of the show, but it's just a little bit too early, I'll save it for next friday. Also! RWBY Chibi season 1 was released between Volumes 3 and 4, and trust me it's cuteness soul food to help us recover.

When Cinder wants someone to join her, she essentially gives them this choice: *_"SERVE ME, OR DIE."_* She did this subtly with Emerald when she promised that Emerald wouldn't go hungry on the streets if she followed her. She did this in a more aggressive way with Adam, when she threatened to kill him and his people if he didn't serve her. Even with Neo in Volume 6; the only way out of that situation for Neo would be to serve Cinder again or die.

some points i wanna work through 1st I wanna thank you for doing another amazing video the editing and the jokes make it really fun to watch 2nd this was probably the best april fools plot twist i have ever seen i mean pulling the punching chair backup out was genius 3rd some info you might have missed: its Amber, Amber has only lost part of her power that was explained by the others in the vault, Pyrrha was told that she might not be herself after the transfer of Ambers powers since it would be like pressuring or fusing them together, Yang told us that her mom was alive and that she got saved by Qrow in the woods the rescue she mentioned was the train, not only Ruby knew that Penny was a Robot but also ironnwood since he runs the military and brought her to Beacon 4th I never noticed the words of Cinders speech were so worked in in when it falls i compared it and it was wow 5th i never noticed Velvets light british accent lol Cant wait for next week lets see if both chairs will survive the finale i think you will like Roman next week.
I think Velvet's accent is actually light Australian... I think I remember hearing somewhere that the VA for her was originally from Australia... People who aren't super familiar with the accents often seem to confuse certain London accents with Australian quite a lot... The same issue comes up later with the crocodile faunus that shows up later... That one has the more London East End style accent, but a fair amount of people have mistaken her for having an Australian accent... Something like that anyway.

I really emphasized on the dramatic chair part for at least an hour 🤣🤣 Reading everything that you said, I definitely remember this now. The thing with me recording is that I try to hold all the information that I’ve learned in the past, but when you’re recording and trying to provide subsequent commentary and emotions and yada yada yada it’s hard to remember everything🤣🤣 it’s a work in progress but during the editing phase and reading the comments I’m reminded of vital stuff. Cackled at your back up chair - Very very wise decision there XD Anyway, minor clarifications on a few things that might've been missed: Regarding the whole Raven/Yang's mom situation: 1) Yang knew her mom was alive - back in V2 she said 'she left me with Dad shortly after I was born' regarding her mother which is easily confused with death since she also says her mother was the first love her father had lost but well. There's more than one way to lose a love and getting left by your wife right after she gave birth to your daughter leaving you to be a single father is a pretty heavy gut punch no matter how you look at it. 2) Raven's words to Yang (not even in person but said through Qrow) were: "I saved you once, but you shouldn't expect that kindness again." ...Aka Raven will not help Yang again, even if Yang needs her to. 3) Qrow said he saw Raven 'investigating a tip on his most recent assignment' which would date it as fairly recently - likely within the current year. So probably not the woods you're thinking of (guessing you were thinking of Yang's v2 flashback which was years and years ago)~ XD 4) He then goes on to say 'My sister has an interesting way of looking at the world that I don't particularly agree with. And she's dangerous." ...He says that as said woman's brother to the daughter who's spent years looking for said woman so NOT great implications about her as a person. 5) He then states that Raven 'let slip' info about where she's been at, and that IF Yang wants it, he can help her track down her mother. Which implies that prior to this he either didn't know where the woman was, wasn't willing to help Yang for the search and that it's Yang that has to want this, not her mother (who sadly has given no indication whatsoever that she wants Yang in her life at all beyond a single 'kindness' that she has warned will not be repeated). 6) This one's more 'what facts we have in general' but given Ruby is only two years younger than Yang that would've had to mean that their dad Tai and Summer Rose would've gotten together within a year of Raven's leaving roughly which seems sus... Until you recall that Tai, Summer, Qrow and Raven were all in a team for four years together at Beacon and Raven aside, clearly were close enough that even without a blood relation Ruby and Qrow still have a very strong uncle and niece bond, Qrow seems to have 'sided' with Tai and Summer given he's still around he's nieces and not his sister (who he outright calls dangerous), and Yang clearly thought Summer was her birth mother until she went MIA and learned otherwise while their dad was in depressive grief. So... Yeah. Enough to be sus towards Tai but also enough to say 'friends turned lovers in grief at being left and to raise the baby together', or even 'Tai/Raven/Summer were an OT3' if one is being rather open minded~ XD For bonus bonus points yeet in a bit of Qrow ship with Tai and Summer, and you get to say you ship the EnTAIre Team -and yes, EnTAIre Team is the ship name and is probably the most shipped polyship in the entire fandom, if only for the 'Tai will have a child through ALL of his teammates, EVEN YOU QROW' meme- About Penny and Ironwood (I'd do them separately but a lot of these points are connected): 1) When Ironwood was telling down team RWBY, note his wording and glance to his arm (prior mentioned to Glynda in v2 as 'acting up') when he talks about seeing things even after the fight has passed. ...Aka Ironwood likely has PTSD, probably regarding something involving his arm (cue him projecting and assuming Yang must've had a PTSD attack or something instead of actually investigating what she was saying). 2) Penny was likely looking forward to meeting Pyrrha because Pyrrha is famous for winning tournaments (like the one they are both in and Penny entered specifically to test herself in), and because Pyrrha is one of Ruby's friends who Ruby probably gushed to Penny about offscreen. -Aka Penny wanted to have a fun cool match with a friend of a friend who could've maybe been her friend too... TT__TT- 3) Ironwood was one of the ones who helped Penny's creation get off the ground and Penny shows her 'clearly metal under fake skin' hands to those Atlas soldiers in the same episode she explains it all to Ruby so... No Ruby is not the only one who knew. Ironwood and *some* Atlas soldiers did too. (Plus of course her scientist dad back in Atlas). 4) Ironwood DIDN'T tell the rest of the Ozluminati as we can see by how Ozpin doesn't start freaking out when Penny and Pyrrha's names are both called out. I highly doubt Oz wouldn't have known about Pyrrha's polarity semblance so if he had known about Penny he probably would have done something to cancel the match. (By this logic we can assume Ironwood didn't know of Pyrrha's semblance either). 5) Ironwood *proooobably* isn't with the bad guys given they're placing huge amounts of sus on him (equal to how much they're placing on Ozpin) for well, Ironwood's continuously stupid choices all his allies have tried and failed warning him away from since his arrival in the show, and for 'disguising' Penny as an innocent little girl. 6) At this point in the show it is unclear if Penny can be rebuilt or not but clearly Ruby doesn't think so and the rest of the crowd are still processing that the 'young girl' they saw get *dismembered* is also a robot (aka they'd think 'dead' then 'wait robot' then 'wait why was that girl a robot?!' right in time for Cinder to be throwing out all the sus). Others have covered the Jaune and Pyrrha tragic stuff (oh Jaune, in any other circumstance what you were saying would've been just the right thing but

Welcome to the RWBY, where its all fun and games until someone breaks a leg and somehow turn penny into quarters. Bad joke, but yea we all needed several moments towards the end of this volume. Its a very weird feeling combining the levels of epicness and sadness that ensue. The music kind of tells a story with the show so looking forward to your reaction to vol 3 music. It played after a tatto appeared on Cinders back. That mean Em covered Cinder and her team in an illusion, thats why Cinder wasnt worrying anbout being found out. One more thing: Em said "One mind i can handle, but two is a stretch". She masked Merkury's mech leg for two people at the same time. She can make an illision for only one person, for now. And also: about season themed names, Ozpin said in vol2 that there was an abolishment of art and self expression and people started naming themselves after colors and seasons. So Winter and Summer arent maidens just by their names, same for Cinder.
It could have been Em's Semblance, but it could have also been Cinder using her Semblance/magic in some sort of heat obscuration technique, since it was implied that Amber was about to kill Emerald (even though we didn't see her Aura fully deplete). It could be either, but it seems as though Cinder was in a better position to create that haze.

Ah yes, that episode. Even knowing it’s coming doesn’t make it easier. Ruby’s reaction is the part that always gets me. Speaking of Ruby, unlike with some protagonists in other shows, she is allowed to be smart. She didn’t have all the information we did, but she figured things out pretty quickly when she realised some things weren’t adding up. Unfortunately, she was the only one on the good guy’s side who knew about Pyrrha’s semblance AND that Penny was an android. And she was one of the few who knew Yang well enough and believed in her to know something was off about her fight with Mercury. Combine that with what Velvet told her, you can see it in her face how she starts to piece it all together. Too often, we see protagonists pick up a hint of vital information, only to dismiss it and get completely blindsided later. Unfortunately, Ruby was still mostly out of the loop and ended up just a few steps behind, and there were just too many secrets on all sides for anyone else to see what was coming. Still, this won’t be the last time Ruby will get to show off how smart she actually is. I want to also take a moment to talk about Emerald and Neo’s semblances. Neo can create physical illusions, meaning everyone can see them and they are even tangible enough to touch, but they are also incredibly fragile. Apply a bit of force and they shatter like glass. Neo often uses it to create disguises that can even fool security systems, hence why she has no trouble sneaking aboard a military airship. Emerald’s illusions seem to affect the mind directly, like she’s overwriting the information the brain receives from the senses. Unlike Neo, Emerald’s semblance can also alter sound (and I presume other senses as well), and because only her target is affected, her semblance is less likely to be detected. People are more willing to believe her victims are crazy or lying than to think that someone is capable of altering their perception of reality. So both semblances may seem similar but they have their own pros and cons. BTW, that thing with the back up chair was brilliant.
Maybe I missed Neo’s use of hersemblance but that’s really cool! I’m gonna have to go back in footage and see when she applies it. I definitely could see the similarities between hers and emerald’s... In my opinion, emerald’s semblance is a bit OP. I love the fact that Ruby is very smart and can piece together things and figure stuff out pretty quickly. Honestly, I thought she was being sneaky and Deceitful because of her facial expressions on certain parts of the series, but I think that’s just me tweaking. Do you know how some characters could grab some information but then withhold it from other people for selfish means? Some shows do that and it’s really hard for me to explain exactly what I mean but I’m trying my best These next three chapters are going to be even more some thing… And I’m not ready for it The back up chair bit was my favorite edit that I’ve done in most of my videos🖤
@@gh0xttherebel A good early example of Neo’s semblance would be toward the end of RWBY’s fight with Roman in the giant robot. That said, for the most part she’s been using it to disguise herself and she has had a lot of different disguises this Volume. Neo’s semblance seems to be better for going undercover or stealing, meanwhile Emerald’s is really only better at messing with people. It doesn’t fool security systems and she apparently can’t use it against multiple people without straining herself, so if Cinder hadn’t taken her in she might have been caught eventually. On the topic of secrets, without giving too much away, I can say the show will address it. One of the core values of the show is about cooperation and teamwork. The key to successful teamwork is communication and trust, and secrets can be extremely harmful to that. Teams RWBY and JNPR both almost fell apart in Volume 1 because of the secrets Blake and Jaune kept, and theirs were relatively insignificant compared to the secrets Ozpin and Ironwood keep hidden from the public and even from each other. That said, there are valid reasons for keeping secrets, and sometimes revealing the truth at the wrong time or to the wrong person can be extremely risky. Like I said, this is definitely a topic that the show will make a point to address in the coming arcs, and I’m interested to see what you’ll think.

You misundertood everything about Raven in that conversation with Qrow lol 🤣 Raven was never pressumed dead, she abandoned Yang and Tai without any explanation, Yang said it to Blake in volume 2, thats why Yang was obsessed to find her, who saved young Yang and Baby Ruby in the woods was Qrow, who saved Yang from Neo in the train was Raven, she later talked with Qrow and said that she saved her just this once, but she is on her own again from now on, at the end Qrow managed to find a clue to where is Raven hiding now and offered that information to Yang so she could finally confronts her mother.

It's subtle here, and probably hard to tell without subtitles but Cinder and Emerald say, "Stick with me and you'll never go hungry again." "Thank you." which aligns pretty well with what Roman said to Mercury. "If it were up to me, I'd take you and your little street rat friend here".
Also, thinking back to Mercury, "That was him alright. Black hair, wields a scythe, and smelled like my dad after a long day." Qrow was piss-drunk when he was fighting Winter. So since Mercury killed his dad, that can say a few things about what kind of assassin or person Marcus was.
Seeing Yang well up with tears as her voice cracks and says, "Blake??" gets me every time, gosh.

I love the scene with Pyrrha and Jaune because he’s basically saying if you think forgetting me is what’s right then do it. Because at this point she doesn’t know if she will be herself after she takes half of the fall maidens powers. And it’s such a gut-wrenching thing because he’s saying to her forget me and do your destiny. But she doesn’t wanna forget him like the songs has said in volume 2 she believed in love when he was around. It’s just such a good scene between them both.
Oh yeah and fully welcome to the fandom with these episodes 🥴. My first cliff hanger from getting into rwby was chapter 9 and I couldn’t believe it and I had to wait for volumes and episodes ever since 😅😂

Welcome to the other side. Welcome through PvP. It is RIDICULOUSLY difficult to hype yet not spoil reactors for this, I'm proud of my fellow FNDM who have been watching you! Though it always makes it worth it to get to relive the RAW emotion of this episode. The one where RWBY proves it can kill someone named, someone loved. It's a really stark turn for the happy-go-lucky little show we had when we started watching back in volume 1, but it's also perfect for the show to have gone here. There's something just visceral about the first time experiencing this, which is I think one of the major reasons why RWBY reactions are super popular and the FNDM flocks to new reactors. We can't personally have this experience for the first time *again*, but we can share it with others and relish in seeing them. And yet this is far from the end, there's a lot more amazing show ahead! I have something I want to say about the structure of the show, but it's just a little bit too early, I'll save it for next friday.
Also! RWBY Chibi season 1 was released between Volumes 3 and 4, and trust me it's cuteness soul food to help us recover.

When Cinder wants someone to join her, she essentially gives them this choice: *_"SERVE ME, OR DIE."_*
She did this subtly with Emerald when she promised that Emerald wouldn't go hungry on the streets if she followed her.
She did this in a more aggressive way with Adam, when she threatened to kill him and his people if he didn't serve her.
Even with Neo in Volume 6; the only way out of that situation for Neo would be to serve Cinder again or die.
You can do it, you can save yourself by sacrificing your chair. We'll be kind (and watch 👀)

3rd some info you might have missed: its Amber, Amber has only lost part of her power that was explained by the others in the vault, Pyrrha was told that she might not be herself after the transfer of Ambers powers since it would be like pressuring or fusing them together, Yang told us that her mom was alive and that she got saved by Qrow in the woods the rescue she mentioned was the train, not only Ruby knew that Penny was a Robot but also ironnwood since he runs the military and brought her to Beacon
4th I never noticed the words of Cinders speech were so worked in in when it falls i compared it and it was wow
5th i never noticed Velvets light british accent lol

I think Velvet's accent is actually light Australian... I think I remember hearing somewhere that the VA for her was originally from Australia... People who aren't super familiar with the accents often seem to confuse certain London accents with Australian quite a lot... The same issue comes up later with the crocodile faunus that shows up later... That one has the more London East End style accent, but a fair amount of people have mistaken her for having an Australian accent... Something like that anyway.

Reading everything that you said, I definitely remember this now. The thing with me recording is that I try to hold all the information that I’ve learned in the past, but when you’re recording and trying to provide subsequent commentary and emotions and yada yada yada it’s hard to remember everything🤣🤣 it’s a work in progress but during the editing phase and reading the comments I’m reminded of vital stuff.

Anyway, minor clarifications on a few things that might've been missed:
Regarding the whole Raven/Yang's mom situation:
1) Yang knew her mom was alive - back in V2 she said 'she left me with Dad shortly after I was born' regarding her mother which is easily confused with death since she also says her mother was the first love her father had lost but well. There's more than one way to lose a love and getting left by your wife right after she gave birth to your daughter leaving you to be a single father is a pretty heavy gut punch no matter how you look at it.
2) Raven's words to Yang (not even in person but said through Qrow) were: "I saved you once, but you shouldn't expect that kindness again." ...Aka Raven will not help Yang again, even if Yang needs her to.
3) Qrow said he saw Raven 'investigating a tip on his most recent assignment' which would date it as fairly recently - likely within the current year. So probably not the woods you're thinking of (guessing you were thinking of Yang's v2 flashback which was years and years ago)~ XD
4) He then goes on to say 'My sister has an interesting way of looking at the world that I don't particularly agree with. And she's dangerous." ...He says that as said woman's brother to the daughter who's spent years looking for said woman so NOT great implications about her as a person.
5) He then states that Raven 'let slip' info about where she's been at, and that IF Yang wants it, he can help her track down her mother. Which implies that prior to this he either didn't know where the woman was, wasn't willing to help Yang for the search and that it's Yang that has to want this, not her mother (who sadly has given no indication whatsoever that she wants Yang in her life at all beyond a single 'kindness' that she has warned will not be repeated).
6) This one's more 'what facts we have in general' but given Ruby is only two years younger than Yang that would've had to mean that their dad Tai and Summer Rose would've gotten together within a year of Raven's leaving roughly which seems sus... Until you recall that Tai, Summer, Qrow and Raven were all in a team for four years together at Beacon and Raven aside, clearly were close enough that even without a blood relation Ruby and Qrow still have a very strong uncle and niece bond, Qrow seems to have 'sided' with Tai and Summer given he's still around he's nieces and not his sister (who he outright calls dangerous), and Yang clearly thought Summer was her birth mother until she went MIA and learned otherwise while their dad was in depressive grief.
So... Yeah. Enough to be sus towards Tai but also enough to say 'friends turned lovers in grief at being left and to raise the baby together', or even 'Tai/Raven/Summer were an OT3' if one is being rather open minded~ XD For bonus bonus points yeet in a bit of Qrow ship with Tai and Summer, and you get to say you ship the EnTAIre Team -and yes, EnTAIre Team is the ship name and is probably the most shipped polyship in the entire fandom, if only for the 'Tai will have a child through ALL of his teammates, EVEN YOU QROW' meme-
About Penny and Ironwood (I'd do them separately but a lot of these points are connected):
1) When Ironwood was telling down team RWBY, note his wording and glance to his arm (prior mentioned to Glynda in v2 as 'acting up') when he talks about seeing things even after the fight has passed. ...Aka Ironwood likely has PTSD, probably regarding something involving his arm (cue him projecting and assuming Yang must've had a PTSD attack or something instead of actually investigating what she was saying).
2) Penny was likely looking forward to meeting Pyrrha because Pyrrha is famous for winning tournaments (like the one they are both in and Penny entered specifically to test herself in), and because Pyrrha is one of Ruby's friends who Ruby probably gushed to Penny about offscreen. -Aka Penny wanted to have a fun cool match with a friend of a friend who could've maybe been her friend too... TT__TT-
3) Ironwood was one of the ones who helped Penny's creation get off the ground and Penny shows her 'clearly metal under fake skin' hands to those Atlas soldiers in the same episode she explains it all to Ruby so... No Ruby is not the only one who knew. Ironwood and *some* Atlas soldiers did too. (Plus of course her scientist dad back in Atlas).
4) Ironwood DIDN'T tell the rest of the Ozluminati as we can see by how Ozpin doesn't start freaking out when Penny and Pyrrha's names are both called out. I highly doubt Oz wouldn't have known about Pyrrha's polarity semblance so if he had known about Penny he probably would have done something to cancel the match. (By this logic we can assume Ironwood didn't know of Pyrrha's semblance either).
5) Ironwood *proooobably* isn't with the bad guys given they're placing huge amounts of sus on him (equal to how much they're placing on Ozpin) for well, Ironwood's continuously stupid choices all his allies have tried and failed warning him away from since his arrival in the show, and for 'disguising' Penny as an innocent little girl.
6) At this point in the show it is unclear if Penny can be rebuilt or not but clearly Ruby doesn't think so and the rest of the crowd are still processing that the 'young girl' they saw get *dismembered* is also a robot (aka they'd think 'dead' then 'wait robot' then 'wait why was that girl a robot?!' right in time for Cinder to be throwing out all the sus).
Others have covered the Jaune and Pyrrha tragic stuff (oh Jaune, in any other circumstance what you were saying would've been just the right thing but

This volume 3… Was definitely a big swing that everyone and warned me about… I’m partly here for it, and realistically not here for it because it’s so intense. But that just shows how great of a show this is

Also when Emerald uses her semblance, there is a special sound plays. It played after a tatto appeared on Cinders back.
That mean Em covered Cinder and her team in an illusion, thats why Cinder wasnt worrying anbout being found out.
One more thing: Em said "One mind i can handle, but two is a stretch". She masked Merkury's mech leg for two people at the same time. She can make an illision for only one person, for now.
And also: about season themed names, Ozpin said in vol2 that there was an abolishment of art and self expression and people started naming themselves after colors and seasons. So Winter and Summer arent maidens just by their names, same for Cinder.

Emerald semblance is a bit OP 🤣🤣
It could have been Em's Semblance, but it could have also been Cinder using her Semblance/magic in some sort of heat obscuration technique, since it was implied that Amber was about to kill Emerald (even though we didn't see her Aura fully deplete). It could be either, but it seems as though Cinder was in a better position to create that haze.
I'm a horrible damaged person in that I enjoy watching reactors watch PvP and the look of shock and horror.

Ah yes, that episode. Even knowing it’s coming doesn’t make it easier. Ruby’s reaction is the part that always gets me.
Speaking of Ruby, unlike with some protagonists in other shows, she is allowed to be smart. She didn’t have all the information we did, but she figured things out pretty quickly when she realised some things weren’t adding up. Unfortunately, she was the only one on the good guy’s side who knew about Pyrrha’s semblance AND that Penny was an android. And she was one of the few who knew Yang well enough and believed in her to know something was off about her fight with Mercury. Combine that with what Velvet told her, you can see it in her face how she starts to piece it all together. Too often, we see protagonists pick up a hint of vital information, only to dismiss it and get completely blindsided later. Unfortunately, Ruby was still mostly out of the loop and ended up just a few steps behind, and there were just too many secrets on all sides for anyone else to see what was coming. Still, this won’t be the last time Ruby will get to show off how smart she actually is.
I want to also take a moment to talk about Emerald and Neo’s semblances. Neo can create physical illusions, meaning everyone can see them and they are even tangible enough to touch, but they are also incredibly fragile. Apply a bit of force and they shatter like glass. Neo often uses it to create disguises that can even fool security systems, hence why she has no trouble sneaking aboard a military airship. Emerald’s illusions seem to affect the mind directly, like she’s overwriting the information the brain receives from the senses. Unlike Neo, Emerald’s semblance can also alter sound (and I presume other senses as well), and because only her target is affected, her semblance is less likely to be detected. People are more willing to believe her victims are crazy or lying than to think that someone is capable of altering their perception of reality. So both semblances may seem similar but they have their own pros and cons.
BTW, that thing with the back up chair was brilliant.
Maybe I missed Neo’s use of hersemblance but that’s really cool! I’m gonna have to go back in footage and see when she applies it. I definitely could see the similarities between hers and emerald’s... In my opinion, emerald’s semblance is a bit OP.
I love the fact that Ruby is very smart and can piece together things and figure stuff out pretty quickly. Honestly, I thought she was being sneaky and Deceitful because of her facial expressions on certain parts of the series, but I think that’s just me tweaking. Do you know how some characters could grab some information but then withhold it from other people for selfish means? Some shows do that and it’s really hard for me to explain exactly what I mean but I’m trying my best

@@gh0xttherebel A good early example of Neo’s semblance would be toward the end of RWBY’s fight with Roman in the giant robot. That said, for the most part she’s been using it to disguise herself and she has had a lot of different disguises this Volume. Neo’s semblance seems to be better for going undercover or stealing, meanwhile Emerald’s is really only better at messing with people. It doesn’t fool security systems and she apparently can’t use it against multiple people without straining herself, so if Cinder hadn’t taken her in she might have been caught eventually.
On the topic of secrets, without giving too much away, I can say the show will address it. One of the core values of the show is about cooperation and teamwork. The key to successful teamwork is communication and trust, and secrets can be extremely harmful to that. Teams RWBY and JNPR both almost fell apart in Volume 1 because of the secrets Blake and Jaune kept, and theirs were relatively insignificant compared to the secrets Ozpin and Ironwood keep hidden from the public and even from each other. That said, there are valid reasons for keeping secrets, and sometimes revealing the truth at the wrong time or to the wrong person can be extremely risky. Like I said, this is definitely a topic that the show will make a point to address in the coming arcs, and I’m interested to see what you’ll think.

The show does a good job at showing that the truth, at a bad time, can be far worse, and far more damaging than a lie. BUT it also places emphasis at SEVERAL points, that hope and victory is only obtained through unity.

Sometimes very minor, such as during the panic scene, you see one of (Disco) Junior's thugs sitting in the bleachers eating popcorn (he was a spectator, nothing more) or something very major, such as and moving to with so that they can before can !!!

You misundertood everything about Raven in that conversation with Qrow lol 🤣 Raven was never pressumed dead, she abandoned Yang and Tai without any explanation, Yang said it to Blake in volume 2, thats why Yang was obsessed to find her, who saved young Yang and Baby Ruby in the woods was Qrow, who saved Yang from Neo in the train was Raven, she later talked with Qrow and said that she saved her just this once, but she is on her own again from now on, at the end Qrow managed to find a clue to where is Raven hiding now and offered that information to Yang so she could finally confronts her mother.
