IME aggressive rerolling is more important for long-term survival than banking early health. Once you have a sense of which items work with which origins and passives, dropping 20+ flame to get someone to the point where they can clear the rest of the act singlehanded is much "safer" than building a balanced party.
3:40 Shrop is insanely overpowered. Like hands down the strongest character in the game. The passive portion of his ability is either bugged or written incorrectly, because it triggers BOTH from the attack that hasn’t happened yet AND the attack that just landed. And since his ability is considered an empowered attack, as long as it crits, his next attack is also guaranteed to be an ability cast. All that makes him start infinite bleed too go by the time he hits a 4th time that hit is gonna do like 20k damage and keep ramping.
Jalen is incredibly strong imo so much so it's hard to not take him in every run. He pumps out party-wide shield that also scales everyone's attack infinitely if you focus on building him so he charges his skill as fast as possible. If you land few of the legendaries (Fully charge mana every few crits or the one that makes max mana 3 after 18 hits for example) and he goes astronomical.
Some notes: 50:16 You know I think get 10% of shield as attack damage would probably been pretty nice. That was not a -150mana, but -150 max hp About how to get the shields targeted: above line is one of the ways: have someone with low hp, items that do damage at the start of a fight also work. You also saw the hero that sacrifices hp for shields (down to 25% hp) and finally there are items that give %shielding. You got to pick one of those at least. There are a bunch of heros who's ult have the line casting speed scales with attack speed. I guess those are good candidates for speed scaling.
I had a theory I had the opportunity to test in a game. Naka is a better carry in this comp than Giachi. Naka's ability cast time scales with attack speed, so he isn't locked in it, and he gets 1% attack speed whenever he gets a shield. I'm having him do insane amounts of damage and also be completely unkillable
47:30 the dragons die after 30 seconds, they have like a bazillion health that fight is just to survive unless you have a crazy broke build to kill them
The double bone drake fight in act 3 is meant to be just a survival challenge - they both have a passive called "bad cardio" (😂) where they straight up die 30 seconds into the fight. There is also the achievement for killing one of them Also, I generally find that if a character largely relies on doing their attacks, but casting is still important for them, you generally don't want them to have both high attack speed AND mana regen, because regen will fill their mana passively, taking away the attacks they could do to actively get the mana back. This isn't very useful for Giachi tho, since he relies on mana regen for his passive.
Just won a run with Gerald (coin and crit guy) and he did shit damage, but he made the rest of my team all crit over half their attacks. Combined with the origin that boosts 3 Spell Damage for every crit, it carried the run. Don't sleep on Gerald!
Giachi requires HP. max hp creates the limit for max shield and his damage is all off his shield amount. Straight HP and shield gained, maybe some mana regen to pop the shield more often. Mostly just straight HP.
giachhi is more of burst imo because the mechanic that let you stack shield on him and let it burst, i use origin that increase cyan damage amplification so its more of spiky turtle nad his cast is so slow i dont think atk speed is good on him
I actually think Giachi is one of if not THE best designed character in the game. He shields himself AND scales his own defense plus also does the cool tank thing of returning blocked damage. Also, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he can cast his shield through stuns which is crazy for the big bug in act 4 fight
Guess I was doing it wrong, my experience so far is I didn't kill fast enough and eventually after rage boss would kill me. I did have success when I had the guy that shields off of minions and then ramps attack speed but that was more of a summons build
@@dukelornek funnily enough, I think Giachi should be even stronger with enemy enrage active since he returns the damage they deal which they themselves increase by gaining ad and attack speed. Things to look for in order to buff the jackal boi are max hp, shielding sources, shield reception%, mana regen and ethereal amplification, especially if you can get your hands on an item, passive or origin that provides unlimited scaling e.g. stacks an infinite amount of times like his passive. My first successful 4-act one man army clear was actually with Giachi - all you need to do is make sure he can scale his max hp to increase shield cap and keep him alive the first like 5-10 seconds of a fight. From then on he should be able to just tank while reflecting tons of damage into the enemies. Dunno if this was any useful, but I do like theory crafting builds for this game
I found most succes with team comps like: 1 tank, 3 goons, 1 hypercary or applicator. Otherwise you eather dont pass dps checks, or situations when you have to split damage between multiple characters. Btw this dragon-bird thingy seems useless, idk why someone said you its good.
47:29 The Dark Dragons die after 30 seconds. You just have to survive.

Bought this game on your First Look recommendation. Loving it. Can't wait to see more of this.
I wonder if they stole their flame from Monster Train.
Couldn't you call monster train tve last flame

Oh hell yeah! So excited for more

aight i was skeptical at first but now i am a couple runs in and the frog archer guy just soloed the true ending boss that was pretty fun

I love this game
I think this game has single handedly course l cured my insomnia. I'm like fully invested and then I wake up the next day

game's great, it scratches the 'whatthefuck is happening' itch
Btw, you can use Trophies using middle click

Just hit things fast. Simple as
had the same problem with shield focused runs I think Anub is bait
i had a shield focused run where all my characters were unkillable and doing a billion damage, its def doable

@ I think it just relies on getting the right items and characters. You def need a carry and giachi is not that carry most of the time.

i hope thats not the last of the flame though, sounds like a joke but nah i love this!
WHY DO YOU HAVE 11 CURSES POINTS AND MORE CURSE CHOICES IN SaD I'M GOING CRAZY TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT.
Also why do you choose that
Voyix I challenge you to play ethereal OPTIMALLY 🙈
More like Gyat-chi, amirite?
Hehehehheheh, not the last flame hopefully
