do bare in mind, as i did with with mine, give good rinse with chemsan, then pull through with star san,why take a brand new tap apart, when you just connect and flush through, pubs dont do it, if it aint broken, dont fix it

In the early days of brewing it was my belief that I needed taps for dispensing from kegs. I bought a couple and had every intent of installing them, making my rig like the draft systems in every bar that serves draft beer. I never really found it as easy and cheap as picnic taps. The picnic tap is cheap, it can be cleaned, and when it fails it doesn't break the bank. I believe I bought 6 picnic taps for $11.00. I know it isn't cool, it isn't aesthetically pleasing, hell it isn't even ergonomically designed. It just works. If I knew people kegging in my area, I would sell my tower or panel taps to them at a discount and just keep using picnic taps.

I got my taps on more beee and haven’t had any issues. I also got the keg keg from northern brewer that comes with picnics for back up

Kegland stuff is atleast in some part made in china.. its sometimes cheaper if you dont mind the wait or dont want to pay US prices to get it through alli express. Before morebeer it was one of the only ways to get it in the states. ... I dont like flow controls since its not exacly what you think it is.. you really would be better with the other kegland setup of using eva barrier and some duotight fittings since 5ft of 4mm eva has a ton of restriction that will knock down noraml 12-15 psi no issues no foaming for me ( its what i use along with a normal NukaTap).

Oh, agree...Kegland is "designed elsewhere" - manufactured in China...100% - I use the duo flow controls since I can anticipate the change in thermals and I know the resistance in the beer line and the length...basically, once I set it - nobody at the -TAP- end needs to know anything...they magically get a "perfect pour", (tho' I don't run it at 15 PSI!) so I "dial it in" for their convenience. Love your content...Cheers!

I have some perlick and intertap flow control. I like the flow control on the perlicks as it acts as a way to keep the faucet off in additional to the tap handle. The flow control completely stops the flow of beer. Intertap, tends to leave a trickle of beer with the flow control "closed". CM Becker flow control faucets supposedly is a true flow control, since it controls the beer flow with a special shank, not in the faucet... I have no experience with it, just heard the Homebrew Happy Hour pod talk about this in the past, and they are the US distributors of CM Becker. Thanks for sharing this... it's a really interesting to see the internals of the nuka.. taking apart the intertap faucets, I didn't have any of these issues.

I like Intertaps better than Nukatap. They both use the same weirdo shank design that doesn't fit anything else. My personal experience is Intertaps are rock solid. Having said that - Duotight flow control beer out quick disconnects are $15 - available at Williams brewing or MoreBeer or many other resellers. The duotight beer out flow control QDs let you meter the output speed regardless of the tap, serving line length or diameter, or tap. Downside is they are not as convenient to adjust, being on the keg itself.
