I'm an italian fan. I was 19. The first match at Anfield I watched on tv. What a incredible comeback! Two weeks after we won UEFA Cup 1-1 in the retour match played in Bruges. '76-84 nine seasons winning titles over titles! Y.N.W.A ❤
Got to say this Bruges team was slick! They came to win, 2-0 up at the Kop end and looking for more.. but it was one of those Anfield nights! We need one of those games against Atleti next Wednesday.. come on Reds!!
I remember me and the father were going to this ..then decided at last minute we'd never get in ...we were sick as parrots when we saw the highlights and crowd..the night that got away
IS IT BECAUSE THIS EUFA CUP FINAL WAS LATE THAT LIVERPOOL PLAYED THEIR LAST GAME AT WOLVES LATER WHICH THEY FAMOUSLY WON WITH 3 LATE GOALS TO DENY QPR THE TITLE I THOUGHT THE LAST LEAGUE MATCHED WERE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED SIMULTANEOSLY
It was years before that happened. there are no end of examples of-shall we say-dubious results that happened due to teams playing catch up well after the seasons official end. Coventry in 86 I think it was had four games to catch up and had to win them all to stay up (they did) including a 4-1 thrashing of Everton who had already won the league and presumably didn't care. Orient beat a pissed up Cardiff 1-0 to relegate Blackpool in 1978 Div 2-Cardiff having already survived their relegation fight-Orient had to win.....The worst examples came in the World Cups of 78 and 82-Argentina knowing they had to win by four goals v Peru to make the final (it was decided in a group of four) bribed and beat Peru 6-0 and Austria and W Germany in 1982 deliberately played out a 1-0 win for Germany in order for both of them to qualify for the next stage. I dont give a damn about all the whinging of "Having to play x games in y days so that the season finishes for everyone at the same time same date, the cheating was nauseating. It was a crying shame QPR didn't win the title in 76. They were superb.
Out of all the signings Shankley made, was there anyone better than Ray Kennedy ? (And I mean all of Shankley's signings from 58-74) Paisley switched him to midfield ,but Shankley had signed him prior to retiring. What a parting gift.
That penalty looked very much as though Weinstein's was a meter of inches outside the area!!!! I think Heighway helped it. But I also think that was enough of a trick to justify the decision!!!!

Una squadra e tifosi da leggenda. Liverpool ti amo per sempre nel mio ❤
A very spirited comeback ... and if that outrageous Keegan header had gone in to make it four it would have been some goal!
Jimmy Case was asked to go on at halftime and to ‘cause havoc’. And he surely did.

A pity that you don't show the 4 big possibilities from Club Bruges to score their 3th goal
The penaltyfoul was outside the box.
Bruges got a dodgy penalty in the return game so it balanced itself out.
@@lyndoncmp5751 No it didn't. it was a clear handball in the return.
Anthony,
No it wasn't. They were both dodgy penalties.
Name of the Tv commentator?
Barry Davies
It’s Gerald Sinstadt for ITV’s Granada region.
So, this is proof that before the 2000s, Liverpool used to make comebacks 😅
Trzecia bramka naciągana, dość wyrównany dwumecz
El último gol no es penalty es falta al borde del área.
tangazo
Kennedy shone that day

Anthony,
Nope. Dodgy penalty in the return game. Nothing he could do about it. Should never have been given.
THIS IS ANFIELD!!!!
