I don't live within a 1,000 miles of you, but what you're petitioning for makes perfect sense. I hope more locals get on board with this effort

They also didnt serve sanwich, it has a full station, althought a little old, but not serving sandwich with the station being right next to the beach is a huge dumb mistake. And yes, it does have some grass but it has a sizeable parking lot.

Though it has limited use for locals, I wish service was restored farther into the Cape. I'd love to be able to do a one seat ride to Eastham.

The Army Corp of Engineers are the real barrier for expanded passenger rail- they control the canal bridge, and have proven to be extremely difficult to work with when it comes to scheduling the lift bridge.

The USACE is always difficult to work with. I'm not sure why, but they are very restrictive and annoying.

Getting more trains across the bridge has always been the issue.

No doubt about that but it isn’t impossible. It just takes money and political backing (not that you don’t already know this).

This is long overdue. With Southcoast rail being completed it’s becoming painfully obvious the Cape is being left out.

it's not like there is they are starting with abandoned or under-served infrastructure. The parts are all there, even the dedicated rail hardware.

A rail line all the way to the tip of the Cape would take cars off the road. I could ride a train to Boston, then all the way down to the beaches out on the Cape in the summer. No car needed and added tax revenue for the local businesses.

unfortunately Yarmouth is the the eastern end of trackage. From Yarmouth to Wellfleet its paved bike trail.

@@BG-sl9lv I know it's paved, I just wish it was rail again. Bike paths are a huge waste of money.

Cape Cod's natural aqifier is in serious trouble. Its ponds and estuaries are dying due to nitrification from sub surface sewage disposal, Cape codders are literally drinking thier own urine. Before you start shipping people in by the trainload, you might want to consider the cost of adequate water and sewer infrastructure to handle the deadend, but urbanized Cape Cod.
