The among of special licks is oustanding and incredible, im not expert but are those licks in any other repertorie of other musicians, he definitely looks like they own design.
If you ever do listen to Blues music, every lick is basically the same.... This CLONE has nothing on any other Clone... Plus Kirk's voice is not Bluesy, it is CHEESY.... Wake up BB, he's being Robbed...Ha!
Def. a crappy recorder! Imo, Kirk is acknowledged by most every critic and pro player as one of the most soulful and tuneful mofos in the blues biz. And all he has to do is plug into an amp to get his tone, unlike some of the pedal board guys who sell a lot of records.
Wow. Incredible playing. IMO however, sadly yet another brilliant guitarist whose lust for 'twang' ends up sounding like someone driving an ice pick in my ear! (Couldn't handle it at 3:00 and had to stop listening) Wish these incredible players would understand tone a bit better and that backing off all bass and mid doesn't make them sound like Robert Johnson. IMO If he had used a Les Paul and tone similar to Gary Moore or Joe Bonamassa this track would have been mind-blowing. Even Clapton's 'Lace Sensor' tone had the sort of grunt that would have done this guys playing justice. Someone turn his damn trouble down! What I could manage to listen to though was 10/10. (Again, just my opinion).
