- After my last BABYMETAL video popped off, I had to dive in for more. Big shoutouts to @babymetaldesu_br for recommending this one to be next! Was so happy to see this performance and all the energy in the crowd. I'm very thankful to everyone welcoming me into the Foxhole with such open arms! All the love to you all and to BABYMETAL!

Yes the first night of a new Metal. In the CallOut for Moa and Momoko. The night before she was an Avenger (Guest Dancer), without a Voice (Mic). But this was her first night as a True Babymetal. This day she no longer accepted her distance. She had to come close, like a sister. And for the whole year they worked with her. And their dustances slowly decrease. And as we see Momo added new parts into Babymetal, like her growling, which helped in their Collab with Electric Callboy.
The electric callboy collab is TIGHT, really dug it! Thanks for being here my friend!
Great reaction. Su had audiences last year in 25 countries, nearly 100 concerts, all "lighting up this dark, dark world" with their phones - and it was a special moment every time.

_2010 - 2013:_ Fake band "Baby Bones", actors in skeleton costumes while music played to track. Babymetal had minimal budget early on and couldn't afford a band.
_2012 - 2013:_ Kami Band East backed Babymetal live for encores only.
_2014:_ Kami East starts to back Babymetal fully for all live shows.
_2019:_ Kami West (4 Americans) added to assist with increased touring.
_2023:_ Kami West takes over as the sole backing band (these are the guys you've seen thus far).

They were at Babymetal's 2018 Dark Night Carnival show in Japan, and Chris "Dark Vader" appeared on stage along with Joakim of Sabaton with Babymetal 1-year before joining Babymetal as Kami Band West.
** Anthony was the ex-drummer of Shadow of Intent.

I've been following Babymetal since 2014. I've gone to 27 shows total, including Tokyo Dome. In my opinion the best audience they ever had was Indonesia. They sang along with them through the whole concert including the Japanese lyrics. I've only seen fan cam of it but damn if it didn't bring me to tears. Babymetal have an effect on the audience that's hard to describe and hard to match by any other bands.

Monochrome is heavier than Rondo of Nightmare... Rondo is interesting because of it's unusual time signatures, not because it is particularly heavy. Monochrome uses melodic chords, whereas Rondo is mostly just straight djent. Monochrome is far lower tuned.
Not only does Su have a great voice, she can write killer lyrics when given the opportunity. Check out "Divine Attack -Shingeki" 🤘💀🤘

"What are they doing?" They are doing what they do best, involving the crowd. Their songs are designed to have crowd participations.... Since you've seen how a Japanese crowd reacts to Babymetal, PLEASE checkout Karate from Download 2016 and see how a sea of Western metalheads jam with our girls in the pouring rain. 😁😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘

Monochrome is another beautiful track from latest concept album called The Other One (take this in mind to understand all of these more mature sound and songs), it was the 2nd single released in November 2022 and there's an official lyrics video really cool if you wanna enjoy the studio album version, later in 2023 right before this concert you just saw they released the Piano Version at The First Take surprising everyone with another stunning and beautiful one off stripped down version.
The lyrics got some Norse mythology reference and when the lyrics vid came out there were many theories around, later they said they were surprised about it and saying they just wanna give a hopeful song.

_"One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is MONOCHROME and this 2nd pre-release digital single “Monochrome” centers around this theme. From the eyes of the children, what color were the monochrome fireworks lighting up in the night sky? This song expresses the hopeful wish on Ragnarok, which signifies doomsday in Norse mythology, twinkling across the starry skies in rainbow colors."_
This was live at BabyMetal Begins - PIA Arena MM Clear Night, Yokohama on April 2, MomoMetal first concert as an official member (she's the new official member after YuiMetal left the group in 2018), you can notice SuMetal speaking to them in the middle section and giving that recognition.
They got this magical moment when performing live in every setlist they did throughout the recent World Tour 2023/2024 and they're keep rocking with this song everywhere they go.
There's another live version they did at BabyMetal Returns TOO, Makuhari Messe 2023 which was the live premiere played by the East Kami Band unlike this one with the West Kami Band, not sure if i already left those clips but I'm gonna try to do it again in my comment down below.
The composer behind this song is the same one behind Karate, Rondo Of Nightmare, Kagerou, the arrangement of Megitsune and also behind Believing from this same latest album, you should really not miss those songs..
If you like Utada Hikaru then you're gonna love Brand New Day feat. Tim Henson and Scott Lee from Polyphia, it's a song from Metal Galaxy 2019 album prior to this one, which btw they played together last weekend in the same FOX_FEST Festival they played along with Electric Callboy.

PS interesting, a Babymetal fan ones wrote an article about Babymetal's main singer: Su-metal aka Suzuka Nakamoto and Utada Hikaru. What amazing unusual and uniquely talented singers they are. But also depending on how you write it, 1 has bell in her name and the other has song in her name. And both have/had an international success/connection as well, maybe their talents are to big for 1 country ? 🙂
