Netflix were to afraid with cancel culture that they exclude Shia from their promotion to help campaign Shia get his first Oscar nomination. Its too bad, I always want him to be recognized cuz not many young actors have that kind of intensity, range and emotion...Shia flawlessly executed his part in this movie that should be able to get him a nod for Best Supporting Actor. Now almost a year after the allegations, people still talk good about Shia. There'a reason why those accusation just some kind of allegations, which I believe has been fabricated. One fine day good talents like Shia, and Robert Pattinson should be able to put their names into Oscar's contender list. They deserves it
She surely will get nominated but I’m pretty sure she won’t win. She doesn’t have enough of a name in Hollywood unfortunately. Also I’m guessing Viola Davis will win this year, which she’d also deserve very much.
@@lujorom9172 Brie Larson won her Oscar, although she was unpopular at all, but she won the Oscar, i think Chadwick Boseman will win the Best Actor to appreciate his last movie, if Chadwick win the Best Actor, so there is a big chance for Vanessa to win the Best Actress, Academy Award is an industry, maybe they will pick black actor and white actress to win the best category
I couldn’t make it through even two minutes of this film it was just a bunch of self-absorbed people feeling sorry for themselves. I’ve lost a child many people have and I certainly didn’t act like this didn’t have an affair ,snort Coke ,didn’t treat everybody like crap. Stupid ridiculous horrible film. 🤷🏿♀️
We don’t know the exact age of Martha’s character or Elizabeth so it is believe in my opinion. For all we know Elizabeth had Martha at 35 or even later. Martha looks young but she could be in her late 30s for all we know.
Ellen deserves the Best Supporting Actress Oscar. She's amazing in this film. Vanessa is fantastic as is Shia. Great movie all around.
Vanessa Kirby is brilliant. What a talent! What a shame she wasn't given more of a chance to speak.

Ellen Burstyn is a great actress, but she was miscast as the mother. She is 88 years old. So it is simply not believable.
It felt believable to me still, her words and intentions were so motherly that I got past that
