I honestly can't believe this musical has closed in Broadway. Final performance was on January 5th. I love the musical so much and it shocks me that it's moved out. Hopefully it can live on in the national tours and other productions like the West End!

Sara gives me chills all through my body no matter what she sings but with this song, every time she does it it just gets me. She connects to it so authentically. It’s just my personal taste, but she really deeply connects to it and all of the many ways she sings it really get me. That’s not to say others haven’t given fantastic performances of this song. Also, I LOVE me some Jessie Mueller. Although Sarah Barrelles wrote it, Jessie originated it and won a Tony Award on Broadway! Also loves me some Shoshanna Bean!

She was the long-standing understudy for Jenna. And she was with the show from first preview to closing!! From theater mania: ‘Torns opened the show as an ensemble member and understudy for both Jenna and Dawn, and has since played long stretches as the title pie expert, holding the fort as Waitress's most reliable anchor.’ And thank you for this one. Put a smile on my face and a lump in my throat. 🙂
