Metal Detecting a Hobo Camp from the Depression Years, Finding Stuff from the 1930s with My Detector

- I had some time this holiday season to get out with my metal detector. The weather was warm enough and it had stopped raining for long enough too. I checked out a local spot that I suspect was an old hobo camp site from the depression years. I found lots of interesting stuff, but what you won't see in this video is the dozens of liquor bottle caps and glass bottle fragments I carried out of there that day. Jeez, that place was one of the trashiest spots I've metal detected in a long time. Check out this video to see what I found...
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that brass escutcheon might be part of a flexable grab handle. There might have been a wooden bar that had gone through that ring (long since rotted away) I remember seeing something similar years ago that was part of a towel rack.
@jerryprice5484 thanks for the possible ID! I can't say I've ever seen anything like it before, but I did ponder it being a curtain rod holder, so it's along the same lines as that. Thanks very much for watching and the comment - Paul
Great video.
I used to detect myself and found a lot of various things over the years.
Late 1800s tools and inplaments 😊

I think it's a casket rail escutcheon.
@JamesEBraus Woah!!! Now that would be something else! Thanks for the comment and possible ID. I must admit, that never crossed my mind, but I reckon anything is possible. Thanks for watching and check back again sometime - Paul
Very nice eagle badge
