This is my design team project for @Rubyandpearl.xo where I created a beautiful writing journal. I used so many amazing digital kits from Heather @rubyandpearlxo and combined them along with authentic pieces to create this beauty. I’ve been creating glassine bags from wax paper - running through the embossing machine of course because I feel like something is always missing is I don’t add embossing- texture paste - ( wall board spackel ) your flips flaps and pockets are so wonderful and your cover is absolutely gorgeous and goes perfectly with your creation of this design. Every. Single. Page. !!! 😍 Have to say, was a little heartbroken to hear it was a custom order and already spoken for! It is put together so beautifully, so much interest and inspiration. One little detail I loved was the layered white embossed paper tag with the top one watercolored…would love to see a video with that technique sometime. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨

The pretty layered tag is in a pink envelope pocket at 5:55. I think the watercolor really pops and is magical! I love your tutorial videos and it would be fun to watch you play around with that idea…I have lots of pretty embossing folders & dies, and a shimmer watercolor set that I have yet to try…🥰

Madilyn here. I have watched this flip through of your stunning writing journal several times. I have stopped and taken pictures of the pages. You have so many wonderful ways to add beautiful ephemera pieces and laces on each page that I have to watch several times to grasp it all. I would have such fun journaling in this beautiful journal that I would not get anything else done in my day. Thats OK as I am retired. Have alot of memories. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! I love this! Watched it a couple of times. I adore roses and use to grow prize winners but really love them in images in my work and on others work. You did a spectacular job on this journal and the cover is so gorgeous and beautifully done! I love every inch of it! So yummy! 🌸💖🌸

I LOVE this journal; definitely more my style (it's Maria from J'adore le Papier, I'm watching from my personal account). I mostly write in my journals, and I make them to write in. So I struggle with adding digits to keep the pages less bulky. I love the themes and all the ephemera you and the team, like Danielle make, but I can never do something that's too bulky. So I like how you kept the journal less bulky. Nice job, Heather! I found just a couple of pieces of your handmade embossed papers in my crate...so I'll have to use it sparingly. I can never seem to catch your handmade paper sale, lol. And I still need to make those tracing paper bags! I don't have a Michael's store near by to buy the tracing paper...and that fabric medical tape I need to try, too!
You’re journals are AMAZING 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 It’s had to not make them bulky so this was a fantastic challenge for me! You totally need to make the bags and fabric tape! I think you’ll love them🙌🏻

Fantastic …loved all of the textures …gonna see if you have a video with that athletic tape printing 💞
Thank you! I’m not sure if I do….. 🤔 The process would be the same for any tape you want to try printing on. I’ve used masking tape, medical tape (the type you can tear), and the fabric athletic tape. Just adhere strips of them to an acetate sheet, make sure all edges are trimmed so no adhesive comes in contact with your printer and then load and print. Not all printers respond well to everything so trying it out is how you’ll know. I hope it’s successful for you! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Madilyn here. This journal is gorgeous. You have really captured Heather's ideas and added yours in the mix. I love both styles along with Amity Bloom. You all give me many ideas. I have tried to sit down and do just one at a time. I have a journal to put them in when they are done but I can assure you the journal never looks like yours but I have fun trying.
