    As doctor passionate about skin care that delivers results and about well aging, I want to help you quickly and efficiently pick a skin care regime that works, by explaining the science behind skin and by sharing quick product reviews.
    I am a big believer that creating a skincare routine that targets your specific concerns is not a matter of your budget. There are many great affordable brands out there: The Inkey List, Good Molecules, Geek & Gorgeous or pixi skincare to name a few of my favorites, and if you know how to combine them, you are well on your way to healthy and happy skin.
    Healthy and happy skin does not mean "flawless" - whatever that might be. I have been struggling with acne, hyperpigmentation and postinflammatory erythema (PIH and PIE) for most of my adult life, and it took me a while to figure out that gentle is key. I went through a retinol damaged skin barrier, acne flare ups and sun damage until I finally reached my happy place: With Tretinoin, sunscreen and of course a red lipstick!

    We’ll, here’s the thing…you’re a white woman with straight hair. So I can see it not working for you. But, the thicker and curlier or kinkier your hair is the better this product works. The amount is therefore used up at a faster rate when in this category. It’s one of my favorite styling products and leaves my curls plump and shiny and does get rid of frizz. Even after 48-72 hours my style is still great and it leaves the hair extremely soft. This product just isn’t for you or your hair type. But as a black womAn with kinky curly hair, it is a product I really cannot live without and I’ve tried tons of different products. All of the Olaplex products work wonders, I wish more black women would try them out whether natural, or chemically relaxed. I’ve used it on both. Hands down, the best!

    To add heat protection benefits, I use a couple of drops of the Olaplex oil No. 7 and mix it with No. 6. It‘s fabulous for my long bleached hair…

      I adore No 7, it is so good and keeps my hair shiny and manageable. For me though adding No 6 doesn't really make a difference.

    I will never give up my No. 3; but, like you, I am not sold on No. 6. I feel pretty much the same way regarding having a lot of products in my fine hair despite every hairdresser INSISTING I need.more.product. So, I tend to have a lot of unused products that I just don't use. I will use up the No. 6 eventually but will not repurchase because I am also not sure WHEN I'm supposed to use it.

    I’ll replay but I didn’t hear what your goals were for this product. My goal is no frizz. I did catch that you have fine hair and so do I so I will use it on damp hair and very tiny amount. I also heard that it helped your hairstyle last a little longer. Thank you, I’m going to try.

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  ปีที่แล้ว

      My goals were smoother hair that was easier to style and less frizz, yes. The less frizz part worked, the smoother part not as I wanted it to.
      How are you getting along with it?

  • @PamelaRubel
    @PamelaRubel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    First of all I wanted to say that I love your videos! Watched the Olaplex ones today and I love the clear way you explain the science!
    I have very very fine, and somewhat sparse curly hair. So my hair has a tendency of breaking easily, and also products tend to weight it down. I have used n.0 and n.3 and I am so impressed! Really incredible products. I don't have much heat damage but I do plan on gettng highlights soon so I want my hair as healthy as possible. I bought n.7 recently but have yet to try it.
    I am debating about getting n.6, because I already apply leave in conditioner and a light gel after washing my hair (and I ADORE my leave in and gel as they are all made to not weight down your hair, have been using them for years) and I am used to applying various products due to the nature of my curly hair (very dry), but at the same time I dont want to weight down my hair so maybe I'll skip this one and go for n.8 or the 3 in 1 mask for deep conditioning.
    I can't wait to try n.7 this week! I cut my own hair about a week ago and used n.0 and n.3 and it has been 8 days since I washed my hair (I know it sounds eww but I can't wash my dry and fine hair very often) and it looks like I washed it yesterday! Never have I gotten my hair to look and feel this amazing after so many days without washing. I love this and think these products are absolutely worth their price
