    Great video! I had a bit of a learning curve on no 6. I used too much product, as I’m not used to needing so little for my hair (even after I cut most of it off). I saw a video and now I love it ❤ The curly part I haven’t heard before, BUT I’ve noticed it really does bring back my waves and I love that 🎉 I air dry my hair and it looks good. The day after it looks even better 😅

    Thank you so much for this video! It was exactly the video I was looking for because I just made my first Olaplex purchase on a whim and it was these exact 2 products! I needed a video that explained how to use both products, how to use each separately and together, and how the two products are different. This was everything I needed, coming from a professional rather than just a casual reviewer!
    For info: I have coarse, semi-thick (non Afro Caribbean) hair that I do not believe is truly damaged or dry. However, I have been searching for something to sort of 'sleek' and 'waterfall' my hair together and make it shinier and softer and I'm really hoping that these products perform well for me!!!

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awww, that’s great, glad it helped…thanks for watching. I’m not sure what you mean exactly by “waterfall” but yes, they will make your hair smoother/more reflective. No6 is fantastic for air drying - in fact you can mix them together. If you want sleekness, you will need to blow dry or flat iron. Enjoy! 👨🏻🙌🏻

      Hi Marie. Thank you for the lovely feedback.
      I would always recommend following the recommended usage of whatever mask/treatment you’re using.
      K Pak is great...my own favourite is Color Fanatic Mask from Pureology - that said, most of my clients (and myself) use Olaplex No4/5 and don’t use a treatment mask.

    Loved the video 👍🏽 very interesting made some notes on how to use this. Do I wash my hair first? And how many times would you recommend per week using both no 6 & 7? I am regularly getting my hair cut and went over a two year period not colouring my hair & using less heat and my hair never grew :’(. Do you have any advice if Olaplex can help hair to grow and which numbers would be best for this and split ends?

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there...thanks for watching!
      I would suggest that you use both No6 + 7 every time you shampoo your hair - they are styling products as such and are brilliant on damp hair...that said, you can smooth a little No7 through dry hair for shine.
      The short answer (and fact, ha) is that no product can stimulate hair to grow from the root, there is nothing clinically proven to do so.
      What the Olaplex system will do is keep hair strong, which goes towards keeping it healthy...and getting it longer.

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  ปีที่แล้ว

These products are designed to be used with the new Steampod hair straightener. But i thought instead of these 2 i can use the olaplex 6 on all my hair and olaplex 7 on my ends. But the 6 isnt that heat protected right? So shouldnt i mixed the loreal heat activated straghtening cream with olaplex 6? Like this i would have the heat protect but im pretty sure in loreal are silicones so if i mix these 2... Olaplex will not go to my hair folicules bc of the silicones right? For example - Sodium Lauryl Sulphate was “bashed” for a while and products were marketed as being free of it, when it really is just a foaming agent…it was all marketing and now brands aren’t allowed to label their products as being free of it.

    Hello, does any olaplex product help to get more soft, silky hair? My hair is really thick and dry and I always used shampoo every single day but then I read somewhere that we should only be washing with shampoo 1/2 times per week and conditioner daily but somehow I felt really no difference at all.
    I have to cut my hair like every 20 days or so because after that it gets really really hard to style.
    When I get out of the shower and towel dry my hair and use a bit of hair oil to keep it moisturized it is really nice for about 10 minutes and then it gets hard like I can’t feel the softness when I ran my fingers through it. I am a guy by the way.
    How can I make my hair like more thin/ manageable? Thanks in advance

      Hi there, thanks for watching. Olaplex No6 should work well on your hair, it makes the hair feel super soft/smooth…if you wanted it to be really silky you would need to use a blow dryer but it would help even if you air dry. I’d probably recommend being really gentle with that towel…wrap it up to dry rather than rub, it’ll make it lots smoother.

      @@theworldofcraig I already do that with the towel, but somehow after it dries it gets with no movement at all.
      I’ve tried everything to get more thin hair but nothing works.
      Do you recommend like any oil in specific? Do I need to apply it in wet hair or dry hair?

      @@theworldofcraig and what about shampoo? Should I use only once or twice per week or daily?

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahhh, I see. I would apply No6 to damp hair. I don’t really use a lot of oils on thicker textured hair, I prefer cream based products.

      @@Unknown-um5pd I would suggest shampooing as little as possible - but it’s ultimately up to you and your preference. Good shampoo/conditioner won’t dry your hair out

    I know your talking about number 6and 7
    But I would like to know if I had to only chose between 4 and 5
    Which would you prefer?

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      4 and 5 are shampoo and conditioner - although it sounds like a marketing ploy (I’m not in any way employed but Olaplex) they are designed to be used together for the best results. They are all I shampoo and condition my clients hair with.

    Is a mousse necessary when using 6

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. It’s entirely up to you - if you’d like additional “hold” from a styling product you can for sure layer mousse over the top.

      @@theworldofcraig Thank you. I have very fine, color treated hair that has a natural curl that can become frizzy particularly in humid summer months. I have to use a flat iron to smooth out bang and front area around face.

      No6 should definitely be helpful and for sure can be layered over with other things. I would start off using the smallest amount and add accordingly

    Hi, I’m a man with short hair and get frizz and flyaways from blow drying etc, i got this duo and put it on but didn’t notice much difference after my first use, I applied it with my hands through my hair then combed it, it’s harder to focus on the ends because they’re short.. Does it take more than 1 use to noticed a difference? or am i doing something wrong 😅

      Hi there. It could be that your hair would benefit from a treatment as well - the effects of the 2 you have are accumulative over time. Maybe try using a little more of each.

      Hi there. The Olaplex line will for sure make a difference and help your hair to be stronger and healthier. I obviously can’t be specific without seeing your hair - I would recommend visiting a stylist who uses Olaplex to get a “Stand Alone” treatment - this is the best place to start for the most bond building. Then I’d suggest you use No3 at home to maintain it.
      There’s another Olaplex video on my channel -
