    • @philosoraptor2285
      @philosoraptor2285 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You Mac worshippers need to get it through your heads. If an NBA player isn't a starter, they need to be a good role player in support of a starting roster. What role off the bench do you think Mac can fill? In G-League, he pads his stats by being an offensive ball hog and then loafing on defense. His shooting % and 3 pt % are in actuality mediocre, and that's at the G-League level, not the NBA. What makes you amateur armchair analysts, think you know better than NBA scouts, coaches, and GM'S? Bronny is a special case because of who his daddy is. So comparing the two and whining, it's not fair is pointless. The NBA is about profits. It's a business and a father/son story is good for profits.

      Because they dont play to win. They play favourites instead. Watch that outfit get ruined a little more this year and not because of Bronny: He'll barely play at all. It'll be because the geriatric fart refuses to retire.

They depend on people being emotionally invested in their product because its a representation of them. You're partly right in that the Lakers have become more style over substance and it shows. People admire courage and despise cowardice and they love seeing a tryer come up and despise seeing this type of nepotism. no one wanted bronny but his dad, no team wanted jj as a coach and heres a shocker ... no one wants old ass lebron especially the young players. As a Lakers fan since 1996, I’m no booster of Mac McClung. The dudes had a slew of opportunities. His problem is that he doesn’t play team basketball. Most of the time he can’t hit the broadside of a barn, He’s a turnover machine and he’s a complete liability on the defense end of the floor, but he sure can dunk…in practice. Let’s remember he’s more than six years older than Bronnie too. I think Bronny will make mincemeat of him in six years. But by all means keep tearing down and insulting and trashing a teenager…that’s totally not creepy unfair and disgusting but you know I’m sure it’s good for views and clicks though, so…🤷🙄

      Which means he has had multiple 10day contracts and/or 2way contracts....meaning he has been a PRACTICE with multiple teams.
      Being at practice means you at minimum will have the coaching staff's eye on you at some point...and they ALL passed!
      I live in Delaware and saw him twice when he played for the BlueCoats...he's good, but to the "Eye Test" he just doesn't look (or feel) like an NBA full-time roster player.
      With that said, I live close to the Sixers so I go see there games a few times a year, ive seen what NBA guards look like with the "Eye Test"
      NBA Guards just look (and feel) different than Mac McCLung. He's a good basketball player, but not an NBA player....and I don't understand why people OUTSIDE the NBA Scouting and Coaching world doesn't see that? Everyone wants Mac to be a full-time pro, when simply he's just not.

      Not so fast. The beauty of sports it’s also about winning. When bronny causes his father to lose maybe miss the chance at another ring something money can’t buy, lebron will be singing a very different tune. You see how emotional Lebron gets on the court is he going to control himself when his son fuks up and costs them the game. He didn’t stop to think that basketball is also Lebrons job and a good way to ruin a relationship is to work with someone close to you because you can’t be as professional as you need to be in this case to win. He has to worry about ruining the relationship he has with his son or vice versa it gets very complicated also Bronny on the court with his father isn’t going to have the same respect level as other players it’s like your parent teaching your class for you in highschool.

    What's wrong with the NBA, notwithstanding this obvious nepotism, is every team is a constantly changing chess board, with players coming and going/being traded or ditched, with no team capable or willing to hold together a core group of players (like 10 or more) for longer than a year. Instead of working on improving and building something, it's just what balance of talent can we put together to win a championship, and if it doesn't work out immediately, scrap or gut the team and start again and repeat. Loyalty to a team/town died years ago, along with humility, grace, sportsmanship, and unpredictable play.

    Bronny averaged 4 points per game at USC. Mcclung averaged 13 a game at Georgetown his freshman year. Both averaged 2 assists a game. Neither are rebounding studs and shouldn’t be. Mcclung can guard the 1 and 2 decently. Bronny can’t guard the bench. It’s literally not that hard to understand who the better talent is. You don’t get G league mvp without improving your game. It’s sad that people would defend a browny James because of his skin tone vs a mcclungs talent. Saying mcclung deserves an nba spot vs anyone else that’s getting one is not racist but logic. I'm not talking about his game. I'm talking about this Black Man himself. What can you say negative about this BLACK MAN from the projects? What can you say negative about the family he made and raised? Tell me one negative thing about his character? From being an activist on police brutality and equality for blacks. His school in Cleveland to grands for teenagers for college to charitable events and charities to raise money for kids to have money to go to college. All while keeping his name out of the media for anything negative about him personally and his family. For 20 years this BLACK MAN did all this while being the face of the NBA. What other reason would this globally recognized organization do something like this? It's clearly not his Bronny's skill level. The King is ready to retire. For the first time in the NBA. His one wish was to play a year with his son before leaving the game. For all he has do e for the youth and the game of basketball. I'm not mad one bit. This is completely fair. There are 30 teams in the league, and now it's the Lakers' fault for using their draft pick. Really? Make a video about all the other teams not drafting certain players. Here I'll give you one. Start with the Detroit Pistons not taking Zack Eddy with 5 pick.

    Since when has NBA or any business been fair? Bronny has already earned the monetary value of his contract. No 55th pic has ever generated so much revenue so quickly. Bronny might flame out, but considering the fact that the chances of a 55th pick having an impact is slim, it's free money for Lakers and NBA. They could have picked a random player who would likely quietly not make the roster or make millions off of the attention.

      @SwishCulture Not if you look at percentage points when compared to european born white players, white American players are waaaaay underrepresented in the nba. Just for a reference the last American born white all star player was Brad Miller in 2004. The last white american superstar was almost half a century ago, with Larry Bird in the 80s. I'm not complaining but just pointing out an uncomfortable truth.

      @@poloplatinum74yep. Exactly. I'll take it a step further and say if Bronny was the son of a white ex NBA player he would be getting more heavily scrutinized by the media and wouldn't be an NBA prospect with his credentials. If this was JJ Reddick Jr or hypothetically Larry Bird Jr, all the ESPN talking heads and ex NBA players turned commentators would be destroying him and calling out the nepotism. Not that it matters but I post this as a Black man.

    I'm glad someone had the balls to make this video. This isn't Bronny's fault. Who could possibly blame him ? He's a good kid. But, Mac, at 6"2, has repeatedly been told he is too short to play in the NBA, despite winning a G-league championship, 2 NBA slam dunk championships, and working his buns off, to prove his doubters wrong. What would folks be saying about this, had this been say, Larry Bird's son, and he got picked in the draft, after scoring 4 pts per game, over an African American kid who scores around 20 ppg for 4 straight years in the G-league ? The league is filled with people who shout racism at the drop of a hat, but what would you call this situation ? The situation with drafting Bronny to the Lakers, is definitely nepotism, no matter what Stephen A. Smith and others, may say. The league has no problem employing white players, as long as they are European white players. But, American white players ? Very rare. And, yes, there are a few, like Austin Reaves, and the freshly drafted Dalton Kneckt, but they are a small minority. This is wrong, concerning Mac, and I'm talking before and after Bronny, who again, is just following his dream, as he should do. People love Mac, and want to see him play on the big stage. He's earned it. He deserves it. And, he would put butts in seats. PERIOD. If Tyrone "Muggsy" Bogues, at 5"3, could play 15 years, in an NBA that was FAR more physical than the run and gun, no touch game we see today, and Allen Iverson could be one of the greatest scorers the game has ever seen, at a claimed 6'0 ft, then there is NO EXCUSE for not signing Mac McClung to a one way contract on a real NBA team. Except for the color of his skin. Aren't we supposed to judge people by the content of their character, and not the color of their skin, or do we have a double standard ?

    There have been a lot of times that professional organizations have drafted family members of key people in the organization. Years ago, there was a GM or high ranking member in MLB orgniztion that has his daughter drafted. According to Google, in the 1993 MLB draft, the Chicago White Sox drafted left handed pitcher Carey Schueler in the 43rd round. She was the first woman ever drafted by a Major League Baseball team. Ron Scueler was the member of the organization.
