Halling dance has nothing with Sweden to do. Halling dance comes from Hallingdal in Norway. What we see here is just a comedy. There are no rythm, no flow, no smooth transitions and iack of many elements that makes the total in a properly performed dance. I can't even call it a hopeless bad copy of a Norwegian dance. The hell Sweden I think you would be much better off by doing your own things. If you want to see it properly done by Norwegians then search on YT with: Hallingdans, landskappleik.
Yes, the dance originated in Hallingdal, Norway; but, as with many other dances in both Norway and Sweden, variations evolved as dancers took dances to other parts of Scandinavia. For example, polska and Sweden is called pols in Norway. But both countries have many variations depending on what part of the country you're in. This Swedish halling is no more wrong or correct than the original Norwegian. I sure wish I knew the cancer's name. I recognize some of the others sitting around the floor.
Makes me think what people at a rave would think if I started dancing like this? lmao

He is good, for a Swede. But he is off beat way too much to be Norwegian.
the audio and video is off-sync though - as you can see the players are not stomping in time either
