I love this channel as a South African. I’m learning and now want to try food from Uganda and I will find it
Thanks for being here.....come and visit us....is there a Ugandan restaurant in South Africa..
Food is an important component of a society's cultural heritage, identity, and pride. I wish we could drift back to our traditional foods which are locally sourced, affordable, and highly nutritious. I applaud Nandy's kitchen for playing a role in this regard.
However, the menu displayed at @11.30 contains spelling errors which would reflect badly on the image of such a posh restaurant. I have picked out the following:-
1. Sweet potaoes
2. Cow leg soap
3. Boilled smoked chicken
I hope to drop in for a feast of Ugandan cuisine soonest. Bravo!
Thanks for being here..... am sure in some places people are trying to get back to our traditions.... I'll talk to her and see how those errors can be corrected...... please do visit.....is a place to be ....
been to this restaurant... great meals nd ataff
Wow....you enjoy the foods alone.... hahaha..... thanks for watching
Noma sana, Eating the Ugandan way in Kenya

I am intrigued by the language spoken by Nandi. It must be a bantu language because I was able to follow her explanation. So close to the Bemba language in Zambia. Keep it up.
She was speaking a language called Luganda from central Uganda..... it's it's bantu language that's why you could pick out some words ...
Thanks for watching..
You are more than right. The first time I went to Uganda, I immediately felt the same. I kept smiling, they asked me why are you smiling, I told them, because of what you just said!

Uganda 🇺🇬 and Kenya 🇰🇪 have equally delicious foods 👍 it depends on the person's preferences whether you from anywhere in Africa 🌍..... All African Food belongs to all Africans.... Bro. Nikk Uganda 🇺🇬 is representing 🙌..... Can't wait to go to Burundi..... Respect!
100% right..
I’m a Kenyan and I totally disagree with you. Uganda have the best a variety of food to choose from. We only have ugali pilau nyama choma and boiled meat. While Uganda the have Luwombo gnuts try fish chicken made in different styles. For breakfast in Kenya we have tea and breakfast whilst Uganda they have katogo of different makes.
@injendimwivandamukolwe3094 Respect! OK Uganda 🇺🇬 has more varieties and combinations of ingredients to produce more dishes. Nevertheless, Tanzania 🇹🇿, Burundi 🇧🇮, Congo 🇨🇩, Rwanda 🇷🇼, Sudan 🇸🇩, Zanzibar, and Somalia 🇸🇴 combined all have delicious 😋 foods for all Black ⚫️ East Africans. Which means everybody has a special food that equally compliments all our foods in Uganda 🇺🇬 and Kenya 🇰🇪. The bottom line is that all the foods of East, West, Central, and South Africa 🇿🇦 belongs to The Black ⚫️ Man and Woman of our African Continent... We Are One People! PERIOD.... RESPECT!
@injendimwivandamukolwe3094 let me get a seat and watch..
@@injendimwivandamukolwe3094 Please don’t speak for every Kenyan… We at the coast have plenty of variety to choose from…. Have you seen northern Kenya’s food … If your point of reference is Nairobi just say we in Nairobi or wherever you come from don’t have variety don’t speak for us.
Thank you Nyabo
You're welcome Ssebo..
Best restaurant in town! Glad it’s close to me! Nandy’s kitchen to the world!
Thanks for watching..... eeh....ogenda tulyakko emeere banayee....

Sorry Sis but ntula in English is known as GARDEN EGGS.
Thank you..
They're called egg plants 🍆
@faithanyanzwa9637 Thanks dear
Thank you 🙏🏽
@faithanyanzwa9637 Egg plants (aubergine/biringanya) and garden eggs ( entula) are two different vegs although in the same class/ group.
Am a kenyan living in nairobi, in fact not far from this joint. Does the food on the menu cater for all regions of uganda because i have been there severally and know that the term "ugandan food" is just extremely general just like the term "kenyan food". I will be the first to very clearly and directly say Kenya doesn't have a singular or unique food, music, dress etc identity owing to our diverse origins. I have learnt from more than 20 years traveling within Africa and the world at large that such generalizations about a country's food can only hold in countries with more or less uniform cultural identity e.g Japanese food.
Not all foods but am sure when you make orders earlier...that can been prepared for you..... thanks for being here and sharing all thjs..
@@EatingTheAfricanWay OK but those prices are westlands prices.
Am sure the prices can be the same across kenya......but back in uganda....it would be less than that..
5k is affordable and friendly wewe unacheza🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha... for the value of the foods...it's worth it.....
Thanks for watching
@@EatingTheAfricanWay i think its the location thy be charging downtown is waaaaaaaay cheaper bt who am i to say🤣🤣🤣🤣
