Kyle Busch was not going to accept any offer from JGR as long as Ty Gibbs was on the team. Busch has been around long enough to know that when the team owner's grandson is in the mix, then no one else matters. Further, Ty Gibbs' actions in the penultimate Xfinity race in 2022 was all the evidence anyone ever needed to know what kind of teammate he would be in the future. Ty Gibbs knew that he could do whatever he wanted to do, including eliminating a teammate from being in the Final Four just to get a win that he didn't need. If Busch wants to win the Daytona 500 and/or another Cup championship, he does NOT want to have Ty Gibbs as a teammate.
The fact that Busch signed with RCR is a little ironic, especially given their history. Richard Childress brought his own grandsons into the mix and ultimately soured his relationship with Kevin Harvick because of it. Austin Dillon at least had the foresight to know that having Kyle Busch on their team would be better than racing against him at Stewart-Haas (which was really the only viable alternative to RCR).
So far, Busch has done fairly well, and I hope he dominates the rest of the season.
It is far too early to predict, but I would not be surprised if JGR never wins another race before Joe Gibbs sells the team (and Ty Gibbs will be out of a job there or anywhere else).

I do not particularly like KB8, but he is the best (most "skilled") driver . . .as is Max V and Lewis Hamilton in F1 (and many in Indy).

Fed Ex has been the primary sponsor on the 11 (30 races similar to Mars & 18) since 2005. Denny has 40 plus wins and 3 Daytona 500's certainly a HOF career. However, times up at the end of this year '23 for the Fed Ex sponsorship of 19 consecutive years. Zero championships out of Denny and frankly he hasn't been consistently close to winning one. With the new era of parity will Fed Ex go in a different direction from Denny? Will they move to Joe's grandson or move to another team all together? Fed Ex CFO has a major decision to make.....0-18 and counting.

Not a Kyle fan. But he has a lot of talent. That has been proven over and over again. He has been in great organizations and good teams and great cars. I wonder if he could win without those factors in place. I hate the comparison game. The best ever debate. It always has to be in context to an era. I think Dale Sr was the best in his era. Kyle is the best in his era. Richard Petty was the best in his era. I think we should celebrate the talents of these drivers but should forget the hype. But then there would not be any comment section on these channels.
