clearly you haven’t been listening at the beginning because we’re actively trying that..our country has been tryna send them to whichever neighboring country probably fit enough to accept them.
In that case it leaves us little wiggle room for control so in the meantime trophy hunting (legal poaching) will should keep things in check a bit.

That's not their homeland, elephants used to be a continental responsibility. If you took time to learn how they lived before you'd know they used to migrate from Botswana to Kenya during seasons. However, since the war outbreak in DRC, they settled here. And they aren't the only animals in the wild that live here. If only you knew how many fit trees they take down, trees that help with conserving the vegetation and fauna for all the animals, you'd respond with a better standing.

By calculation, all Africans can be moved to one of the larger countries say Sudan 🇸🇩, DR Congo 🇨🇩 or Algeria 🇩🇿, and each individual (including children born today) will get about a half an acre if land to live on. The problem is you are ignorant online using a tool that you can actively check online how much population is in Botswana. A country of 2.3 Million people that is 3/4 semi arid and has dedicated 1/3 of the country to wild life and vegetation, so population isn't the answer. Please read a book, maybe lose the word knowledge from your handle coz obviously you have that in deficit.

@@GrumpyTinashe Wait some people are eating it today? I thought that was just a suggestion. Because at that time they were at a low number due to poaching. They put in measures to get their numbers back up. So much so they had to finally ponder should they consider a market on elephant meat. Considering what I knew about how important elephants were to not be harmed, I was surprised they would later be considered a food source.
To be honest I wonder what elephant would even taste like. People eat all kinds of things where they're from. Sheep and cattle are easy for those in the states, but there is no market on horse meat. Probably due to the relationship of those that used horses as a mode of transportation. However old horses are used to make "glue". That was something I think is still a practice in some cases.

Maybe in prehistoric times they did. Aside from deer and wild boar that were hunted for food, many predatory animals like wolves and bears and even European lions were hunted for sport or from fear of them killing their livestock . Many of the more exotic animals like the Aurochs actually ended up in the arenas of the Roman Empire. Habitat loss was also a factor as the forests were converted to farmland. It’s relatively recent that some of these animals are making a comeback due to conservation efforts especially in the case of wolves.
