    I got to say doc you made me a big fan of Anderson

    What you preach is true. My Kentucky blue grass in the backyard is loving the cool weather and my Bermuda grass in the front yard is nicely coming out of dormancy. All the Anderson products have been applied. Following the lawn care guide. Just waiting on mother nature to cooperate here in OKC. Thank you Doc for educating me.

    Wow! What a beautiful 40 acres. I'd love to live there. We have 36.8 acres, but the only water is our well. We live in a pinon juniper and cedar forest. We have a 2720sq' ranch home, barn and workshop. The rest of the Ranch is for the wildlife. Cougar, elk, mule, javelina, coyote grey fox, squirrels & chipmunks, rabbits & Jack's. Lotsa birds too. We call the place "Hog Heaven"

    Doc can you explain the difference between Dirt Booster/Plus and HumiChar and Humic DG.
    I feel like in the past you used to use Humic DG and now you’re mentioning HumiChar + Dirt Booster

    • @mitchdaniel5605
      @mitchdaniel5605 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My understanding is that Humic DG is Humic acid, Humichar is Humic DG plus Biochar. DirtBooster+ is just original dirt booster plus Humichar

    Been watching your vids for a few years now. Im retiring the end of June after 42 years of working military aircraft. The body just cant keep up with the demand anymore so Im pulling the plug on my job "hobby". I decided to start working in the yard to keep me mentally and somewhat physically occupied. Just purchased a non-powered reel mower and started taking my bermuda down gradually to 1 inch height. But my soil sucks down here in south central Gawgia and maybe this product you speak about could correct the soil condition over the summer with a bi-weekly or monthly application, One quick question, should I water this in immediately after application or just let my 4 day per week scheduled automatic irrigation system do it??? Thanks for the vids Doc stay safe out there on the new farm.

    Hey Doc, I was wondering if I can de-thatch a Bermuda Grass lawn? I know I cant right now it will have to wait till next year i should have done it earlier. I only ask because of the long runners tearing up the lawn. I live in Northern AL

    • @tyalangan

      He generally says do not de-thatch because you would tear up all the stolons. Aerate instead per his advice.

    • @Bigcountry76849
      @Bigcountry76849 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not Doc, but I use dirt booster plus here in Junction Texas. I have bermuda / zoysia mix in my front yard and red winter wheat in my back yard. It helps all types of soil types. You can put it on as light or heavy as you want, as often as you want.

    random q doc, how large is your farm and how expensive was it? This is in Florida? How did you find it, I would be interested in something like this myself.

  • @brandonroy414

    Doc, been watching your content for years now and have been having an issue with my leveling. I have some high spots that are problematic, is there an easier way to lower the high spots than to cut the sod and dig it out and replace the sod? Ive heard of people using electric power washers to 'move' the dirt to surrounding areas but that seems messy too. Anyways, just hoping I can pick your brain here for some tips.

    You’ve convinced me to try dirt booster on my lawn. BUT, I have a lot of weeds in my lawn. How long after applying weed killer can I add dirt booster to my lawn?

    • @Bigcountry76849
      @Bigcountry76849 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like to wait 3 days to let weed killer take full effect, but I don't think it'll hurt to add it immediately

  • @irongang5816
    @irongang5816 ปีที่แล้ว

    So Doc let me get this straight; Dirt booster is the equivalent to Chicken feed, Humichar and microb pack Organic?
    Basically I can lay dirt booster and water the yard or does it also require the microb pack and super juice?

    • @treflippa2
      @treflippa2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep you are exactly correct. It makes everything so much easier and less time consuming too. I did the chickenfeed thing a few seasons back and while it worked I was out in the yard quite awhile not to mention having to find a tractor supply close enough to get the chicken feed from lol I used dirt booster plus last season and it was much easier and cheaper if i'm not mistaken. It already has the microbe pack infused in it so no need to add that. Just put it out with spreader and water in simple as that.

    Sorry to be the science guy this time… but soil is NOT a living thing. Soil is abiotic, not biotic. There are living things underground, but soil is not alive itself. If it doesn’t have cells (plants and animals) it isn’t alive.
    Just put down my first Dirt Booster+! 2 years in a new build, and I still have the best lawn. Thanks Doc, and The Andersons!

    Should have told the local hunt clubs. And I woukd ave zero coons. Be more concerned about ticks. Our dogs roam free on the vegetable farm but do not run the roads..but, they alert to the animals most, often..then, it's rifle or tramping time.
