Out here in central cal the temps are hitting low 70’s, riding the high 70 one day a week…put down barricade, followed with the balance and humichar…. Grass is green and getting thicker. Already cut twice at lowest setting…. Crazy how with the grass season starts
I love the new spring videos after getting hooked on your content a little late in the season last year. And I'm sure you don't take video suggestions, but as a fellow angler, I'd love an update on the pond so far this spring and how it goes into summer! I've always wanted my own pond with bass so I could check every day during the spawn cycle for bedded bass! I'd love on update on how things have been since you put crawfish in last year. Have you seen any bass bedding up, or sight fished them? What do you usually fish with for them aside from craw style soft plastics, I'm sure. Even your kayak setup would be cool to see. Keep up the awesome content. Thanks!
Enjoy your video's doc. I have centipede here in SC in the front and back yard. Just cleared some area in the wooded area and planted annual rye to hold the soil. Should I plant centipede or some other grass in the shaded area?
Love the Anderson Fertilizers but have trouble getting it delivered, have gotten it twice but since then no go think the problem is the weight and ups has a problem with 50 lb limit. No one in Texas that I can find carries Anderson .
so I just bought a new home at the end of last year and it was a complete mess. I finally got everything cleaned up and put grass seed and a starter fertilizer down. I think the topsoil I put down had a lot of weed seeds in it too because there is just as much clover as there is Fescue. I did the seeding about 3 weeks ago, is it too soon to use a weed and feed?
Doc, best lawn care guide videos on the planet! Question, how do I get Anderson fertilizers, PGF complete specifically on the island of Oahu? Most will not ship to Hawaii? Thank you and much Aloha from Hawaii!
I code aerated, dethatched, overseeded, starter fertilized and top dressed last week on my cool lawn in the Northeast last week. I bought the dirt booster but don’t know when to apply. Can you advise if now Is the right time given my last weeks work?
Hi Doc, I closed a new house a month back and my Bermuda is 4 months old. I ordered PGF complete and Super Juice. I am planning to put down PGF complete this week and super juice 2 weeks after. I watched your other videos on PGF complete and you mentioned that go under the bag rate for new sod.. Do you recommend go under half of the bag rate for new sod and what Spreader settings you recommend for EarthWay ProGrade Large 2170? Love your vids!
What is the ideal temperature to apply PGF Balanced in the spring? BTW, I am in NJ and have cool season grass. I have already put down one application of Barricade. Tnx
What mowing height would you recommend for Northern Va grasses? Our summers can be hot, dry, and humid. I use tall fescue mostly. I was under the opinion that it was better to cut around 3 1/2” to help shade the soil and to smoother out weeds. But notice that you cut your grass very short.
Since you’re only getting jealous responses, I will respond with once to twice a year. Since it’s not fertilizer, it’s a good product to put down when the weather is too hot for fertilizer.
Morning Doc, May I ask for your help? I have a new home with ryegrass and a lot of weeds in front. The soil is not much to write home about. Before I seed Bermuda, I will cut it down the ryegrass and stop watering, but should I treat for the weeds as well? Kill everything? Thank you Sir, Daniel
Doc, I know you do Bermuda but, I've been following your Humichar, PGF Complete, Chicken feed and Recharge microb method on Saint Augustine. (Disclosure: I'm in North Florida). I've been having the same success but, do you have any tips specifically for Saint Augustine or does Bermuda care and treatment work the same?
@@jrb3158bout every 2 months. Doc say the PGF complete can be reapplied every 3-4 weeks vices 6-8 like the other fertilizers due to the dispersible granular system. So far its been a pretty good system. I like the Andersons products. Just picked up some super juice.
hey Doc i am in Virginia temps have been crazy. is it too late to drop down some PGF balance. before the Complete, or am i good to just drop down the PGF Complete.... Thank you
Hey Doc, love the videos! The knowledge I have gained has been incredible. My side yard had St. Augustine (which has died off) and I want to completely renovate and plant some Yukon Bermuda seed. I have sprayed to kill everything, scalped the grass as low as I can get it, renting a dethatcher/scarifier to get all of the dead runners broken up, going to clean up the ground completely. Would you recommend a fresh new layer of top soil/sandy loam to plant the seed in or do you think that dirt would be fine? I just worry if i cannot get 100% of the dead Augustine runners up that it will hinder seed growth. I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you again for passing along your knowledge!
Doc I put down my balance and planned to do my green shocker 4 weeks after and then do my complete?? Should I skip the shocker and to complete? Only could afford one application on both..
Doc, have you considered putting down some plant growth regulator on that new farmhouse lawn to slow the growth down a bit? Or is that not advisable on a new lawn?
Are putting a pool in and new putting green at the farm house?

Went with my first mow of the year today and putting down the PGF complete tomorrow.
We'd love to see you do a cool season series
It better be the best looking yard in the neighborhood with all that time money and energy spent on it!!!
We had some crazy weather here in upstate NY a week ago. Now we’re looking at 70 by weeks end. I’ll probably have my 1st mow by Thursday.
What zoysia grass seed did you use in your backyard?
Barb will miss her lawn guy
I know

I just put super juice and I put 10-10-10 I was a little late, so I put that fertilizer also? Or do I wait a week or so?
Hi, what do consider a light application of pgf complete? The bag show 4.5 for a broadcast spreader? Thanks you have made my lawn look amazing.
The bag rate is actually a light rate. That's what we apply
I code aerated, dethatched, overseeded, starter fertilized and top dressed last week on my cool lawn in the Northeast last week. I bought the dirt booster but don’t know when to apply. Can you advise if now Is the right time given my last weeks work?
Apply when temps warm up. Until then just fertilize
Hey Doc, thank you for the content. I'm new to your program, and I was wondering how much HUMICHAR do I need to apply every season? Thanks!

Bag rate is fine. It's pretty mild. Not sure of that setting.

About 3 weeks before your lawn starts to grow.

As high as you can go, live in Northern SC and mow TTTF at 4" from May to Oct
Start low during the cool growing season and cut often As summer approaches allow it to get taller.
How often do you recommend putting the humichar down?
@@ZachWH87 exactly. wood stove and three properties won't pay for itself . add more dirt booster on top

Is it bad to water the same day as a cut?
Do you have a link to the sprinkler you are using at the farm house in this video? Couldn’t find it on your product list page.
I don't ... We bought two at Lowes

I should add that I’m located in West Texas.
Treat for weeds at least 3 weeks before. 24d amine will probably do the trick.

it's not too early to seed bermuda?

Im doing the same in my yard. Ill put down a layer of chocolate loam screened. I hope it works.

Yes, if you're warm do the complete
U not bagging your clippings right now?
You should be pulling 2 or 3 staggered pull mowers not one for the bigger jobs. Have you seen them?
Where are you located on the farm
Inside by the wood stove!!! 😂😂😂
Hashka Mr. Doc!
Doc, have you considered putting down some plant growth regulator on that new farmhouse lawn to slow the growth down a bit? Or is that not advisable on a new lawn?
Not on newly seeded
What's your rates for Dirt Booster for lawns?
Thanks Doc
I thought you couldn’t cut the grass after new seed is put down😮
How many acres you got Doc
40
? Link for electric UTV spreader PLEASE and thank you…the Blockdog
I'll do a video on it once we fully test it. See if there's any issues.
We are told to cut our grass the maximum highest from the sprayer to keep out grass.
That statement is incoherent.
Doc, when is Superjuice going to be back in stock??
I'll ask... I just got a bag in
Thanks so much
I hate my trees. I can tell the Bermuda is going to struggle in that shade.
