Big roach, please Mr May. On a deep venue, or a pacey one. Which groundbait mix for getting it down to the bigger "roaches" and getting them feeding. Great, as always, your enthusiasm for our sport is phenomenal. Keep making vids, we will keep watching.
What about fishing a deep river or resovoir with a long whip for roach and skimmbobs. The mix you would use for deep, possibly flowing waters, that would hold the fish once fed.
@Sonubaits would you travel down south to Marsh Farm or Bury hills These have monster crucians in them ,as well as tench Long journey for you, but these do hold monsters, Plus your be in the hallowed land of the south🤣🤣🤣🤣
really enjoyed that vid Andy ,very helpful tips on all subjects, rigs set up to plumbing the depth correctly and baits ,very in-depth details on them all ,look forward to more the same 👌
Great video Andy have you ever fished Notts Anglers Bestwood Duck ponds , man made canal called The Richmond Canal absolutely full of Crucian's, Roach, Skimmers, ,Tench and Barbell hard Fishing in winter but sure to catch some lovely fishies have a go matey
Lovely fishing! Is there any reason why 13m is the distance you’re fishing, couldn’t you do same shirt to be more productive? Would love to see some big bream from Jumbles reservoir or huge roach from Lymm dam fishing. Thanks
Water clarity would determine the distance fished. No doubt later in the session a shorter line at 6m or so would have produced or in a few weeks when it warms up you'll likely catch there all day. But because it was frozen in the morning, still relatively clear by commercial venue standards, fishing a bit longer is a safer bet and 13m is just a nice comfortable length of pole to hold.
It all depends how active or 'dead' you want the mix. For roach, on the day means you'll still have activity in the mix (hemp and other active ingredients pinging off the mix and attracting fish from up in the water layers). Often for bream or other big fish where an inert mix is required mixing up well in advance of the session can be effective as it allows the mix more time to absorb the water and all particles within to be completely soaked meaning they are less active.
During the colder weather you want to keep busy..helps to keep ya warm and concentrated...what better way to do it 👍🎣
Great tips mr may, thank you sonu. You need to do a old estate lake film catching on the waggler

Andy, would you mix it up the night before using tap water, or mix it on the bank using lake water

If you want to catch big tench and crucians...come to Marsh Farm in Milford, its full of them
Brilliant andy but how about an endcatch picture
Have you considered light hybrid elastic (4-6) in one section only instead of the slip?
I have tried it and it’s thicker and slower to retract. Solid elastic is the best in winter/colder months.
Baden hall staffordshire on doughnut bream heaven
Is a Pommy not a silver bream? An actual species, not a hybrid.
