@user-ok9ue8gp6k I'm not denying his decline but a last minute change where you remove an incumbent president from the race and swap him out for someone else is not a recipe for winning. Open conventions also bring increased scrutiny and interparty fighting.
There are also serious doubts anyone could form or head the large coalition that Biden does throughout the country in a record (short) amount of time.
Furthermore the purpose of a primary process is to put potential candidates through the ringer and see how they fair on a national stage - which you don't really know until they're up there.
It's abundantly clear to political operatives that the best bet is to stick with Biden otherwise more of the Democratic party would be breaking with him now. Instead he quelled the revolt. Its over

In his unhealthy brain he had two points he wanted to get out. “I served with the first black president. As president I nominated the first black woman to the Supreme Court.” But it got completely garbled because he has a word processing problem that has gotten worse. He is not well. He’s never been a good speaker due to his stutter and his tendency to get tongue tied, but these symptoms have gotten worse as his brain degrades. That the Democratic leadership insisted on staying with him instead of opening up the primary process was terrible and predictable judgement.

As a previous progressive, I am not be on your political side anymore, but I respect the honesty. It is that honesty that led me to leave the Democratic Party. Now, we can argue about whether the level of propaganda was enough to justify leaving.
