    I´ve got some nice ideas from this video.
    Waiting for the delivery of the Extreme model next Tuesday. Already with the Akra muffler but I´m considering your tuner along with the matching Akra header. Buying the filter tomorrow though.
    Thank you and ride safe!

    Thanks for the video, have you noticed any significant increase in fuel consumption? The Tenere didn’t have great range before and now I wonder if I should be investing in a larger tank for long off road trips…

      After tune it pretty much give the same range as before If I ride it Normal on the road.
      The consumption on the Tenere is bad in higher speed. This is due to the low gearing on the bike. Some people change the front sprocket by increasing by one tooth to match the mt7 which significantly lower the consumption. The downside is less agility, but say on touring it would make a lot of sense.
      If I ride backroad in Norway I easily get 300km with fuel to spare. However if I go higher speed roads it drops quickly (due to high revving) dramatically to some times less than 200km. So a one plus sprocket be great on those roads to not get poor on a tour.
      I would rather carry a fuel bladder than a bigger tank as the bike is pretty top heavy as is. Also I would consider a plus one front sprocket for a longer tour to save a lot of money.
      Thanks for watching

    Is the difference in power and throttle response noticable? Can you describe changes?

    • @monkeybuttadventure2
      @monkeybuttadventure2  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The throttle is now not jerky, before it was jerky hard to make smooth roll on throttle. Now it is very smooth and easy to control which is very good compared with before. When i ride on slippery surface i have control. Before the jerky throttle made it hard to do.
      I do notice far more power from low on to top. Even in 6th If i open jo it kicks much Harder than before. So i notice a way smoother engine with more power all over the band.
      If you look at my hillclimb video which is steep hill i sot in 2000 rpm in 2. and 3. gear, with absolutely no indication of stalling the bike. Very happy with the bike now.

      @@monkeybuttadventure2thank you very much for your detailed answer. I’m looking at the same mod for my T7. So this mod kills 3 birds with “one” stone - remove weight , adds HP and removes jerky throttle. Sounds like a good investment

    What made you choose the Rapidbike over a re-map/ECU-flash?

    • @monkeybuttadventure2
      @monkeybuttadventure2  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I prefer using ecu tuner
      1. i can access data from the bike, fuelling etc and get readouts easily to my pc
      2. i can plug in quickshifter
      3. it supports blipper
      4. It supports direct AFR tune with YouTune panel
      4. i can use map switch which is great for travel, put it in touring low consumption mode and much more
      Another benkefit is i own it, i can unolug it and switch it to a new bike, or sell it separately If/when i sell the bike. When you sell it second hand you can sell it including installation and get all your money back. Or sell it without and recover 50% of your initial cost usually. Which makes an ecu tuner Even If it is more costly initially, it can at the end of ownership cost you less.
      And because this has happen to me before there is no surprise after a service at your dealer. Sometimes there is an update and what happen to me was a reset of the flashing. I struggled to figure out why the bike was not as it should until i found out the dealer had reflashed with a new update.
      Also it is something i am used to, before when i raced bikes we never flashed the ecu we used tuners, and had fine tuned maos for that track that day under those parameters. So it us something i thrust and are used to.
      So for me the ECU tuner is my preferred solution. That might very well not be your solution so If you are in doubt check out the pros and cons with both and do your own due diligence before you decide.
      Best of luck, and keep the shiny bits up.

    Do you think the Rapid Bike is a needed addition when NOT changing the header? I am a bit torn to mess with the wiring harness vs leaving as is thinking of reliability etc.

    • @monkeybuttadventure2
      @monkeybuttadventure2  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Rapid bike does in particular fix the fuelling on the bike. I am not sure what Euro version your bike is, but a Euro 5 bike is very poorly fuelled from the factory to meet emmission regulations. This is why the bike is very twitchy rolling in throttle which can be a challenge on loose stuff.
      But here is my take on your question, If you are happy with the bike as it is, do nothing.
      If you find the throttle twitchy and annoying there are two solutions, rapid bike or flashing the ECU. Both have advantages and caveats, but If you do not want any hassle with cable and install, plus it makes you think about reliability go for an ECU Flash.
      If you do think you might do something else later on like a simplified cruise control etc and do not mind the install yourself the rapid bike is the way to go.
