AmPro Yamaha Tenere 700 Project Bike

The crew at AmPro Yamaha, including bossman Randy Hawkins, are really good at building competitive race machines. They start with stock Yamaha YZ products and build them up to be fast and durable for National Enduro, GNCC, Sprint Enduro and more of the most grueling off-road races in the country.
Hawkins himself is off-road gold as a multi-time national champion and AMA Hall-of-Famer. So, when AmPro said they'd build up a Yamaha Tenere 700 Project Bike, and that Randy Hawkins would meet us to ride it, we said yes - of course!
So, we flew up to Montana to hit some scenic and chilly roads and trails. And what we found out was this Tenere 700 Project Bike isn't all that different than their off-road race bikes. It's simple, protected, fun as hell to rip around on, and it looks awesome.

Got it, mods are cool. But the riding scenes rock, man! I stuck with leadacid battery for starting in the cold. Definately going for cat delete for weightsaving. Otherwise really love it. Feels like Ive switched out half my T7. Good stuff!
