there is an old analogue pedal from the 70's you can get that triggers a pre-recorded drum sound when you strum hard enough to send enough voltage to trigger it
Wow sir you are amazing ,I built a red Brick house cigar box kit from a MGB kit Mike Breedlove nice guy .When I saw Samantha Fish play on You Tube I said damn I have to get this same one.Now here I am as as a beginner in my old age of almost 70 at a hobby of trying to learn guitar ,building and fixing.I have a question I wonder how that would sound with a slide?
actually i’m an 80’s guy… cut my teeth on Van Halen, Rush, AC/DC, Triumph, Scorpions, U2, SRV, Kiss, Foreigner, ZZ Top. That being said, I did my fair share of “Grunge” as well, loved Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, STP, Sound Garden… Offspring… i really enjoyed (still enjoy) Fountains of Wayne and Weezer!! as i got older i gravitated towards more seasoned music and musicians… love Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Clapton, Junior Brown. i’m also a sucker for John Mayer and Coldplay… i forgot to mention Larry Carlton!! yikes!! 😳
@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar yes, rock n' roll is basically blues but with drums added... an experiment you could try, to make a percussion CBG thing, is get one of those old steel metal-wire dayton tennis racquets (modern racquets do NOT use metal strings for obvious reason), pair it with a magnetic pickup, then run your fingernails across it, and it makes a marching drum sound. you can also strike it in other ways for other types of sounds too.

did you grow up during the early 90's? Your music always seems to have a bit of 'grunge' edge to it, at least to my ear...
