US vs Italy Burger King | Food Wars | Insider Food
In case you were wondering:
In italy there's no pizzahut, no dominoes (fun fact is that it tried the italian market and went bankrupt), no in-n-out, no Wendy's and no most of the American fastfood chains. But we have jollibee here in Milan, and i still don't understand WHY.
As Claudia was saying, the price point for fast food in italy is not THAT low. You can get a plate of pasta for about the same price in some restaurants, so we see it as something to enjoy maybe once every two months. I dont know any italian that goes to a fast food more than once a month, and i personally haven't eaten in a fastfood chain in about a year and a half.
We love fastfood, don't get me wrong, but italian still prefer eating a homemade meal or in a restaurant, and during a lunch break is common to have some focaccia/pizza, certainly not fastfood.
Oh, and we pay for sauces. I still don't understand why five guys sauces are free.
In N Out and Shake Shack would be welcome in Italy
@@lorenzopippia5257 YES. I never had one but I crave animal fries. They look amazing.
You should be grateful for free sauces 😂
DUDE IS'T OBYUSALLY tha it's not a pizza hut or dominoes because in italy is littery the home of pizza
i know Italians in italy that eat at McDonald's every weekend 🫥
Can food wars do an inflation episode? You guys have all the prices from around 2020 from these fast food restaurants and I think it would be interesting to see the footage of the whopper meal pricing from earlier vs today.
I just realised that if the prices you showed for the US are without taxes then the Italian menu is actually cheaper, cause all prices in Italy, and Europe in general, always include taxes
@@deadzio ohh, that too, I forgot :)
no tip on fast food@@deadzio
I don't think there's tip in fast food
@@federicocatelli8785 oh there is... there is... And it is coming to us in Czechia too
@@federicocatelli8785Optional tip
She’s definitely liking Burger King more than KFC 😂
I like the Burger King over McDonald's anyday. The only items I prefer at McDonald's are the Mckroket (Dutch exclusive), chocolatemilkshake and sundae caramel with nuts.
filet-o-fish at McDrek pretty dope too. though the king fish I had at BK Luxembourg recently was even better, sadly not available in the Netherlands, nor is raspberry coke :( @@jolanda.c
Claudia is too wonderful to be subjected to the horror that is Burger King 😂
Burger King in Italy is actually quite good. The taste is different from american BK. Don't forget that, other than the exclusives, meat patties and buns are also made locally, which is a big factor. Sauces are also probably made in Europe, because of stricter rules about stuff like OGM and additives.
man i love this series so much and why dose the big king at a burger king in italy makes me think of a mcdonald's big mac?!
cause it's their version of the big mac. Carl's jr version is called the Big Carl
germany has that one aswell. it is a 1 to 1 copy of the big mac
Because that's exactly what it's trying to imitate.
The number on the bottom of the cup should be some kind of code, rather than size. Ive worked for gas stations a long time and usually there's a smaller number somewhere that has the "oz" next to it to denote size. The companies that make those cups have such a large selection for many restaurants/stores, so they have a number code to mark what style cup is in the box.
love to see her smiling nd speaking 😊😇
She is a charming and beautiful woman. This series is not really her forte.
I think you guys need to give Joe some rest. The American fast food exclusives are bit repetitive now. It's always same food😂
Although this was the first time he got excited for someone not liking pickles besides him
Joe mama
I think so Joe was almost in every video except UK vs India Nando’s and Cadbury. I would not think this but I think it should be Italy vs Japan or Italy vs India.
It's because most of there audience is from America
Unfortunately people love to compare America's food to other countries to feed their idea that Americans are fat, Europeans ain't.
I’ve had both and Italian BK tastes like completely different food in a good way
Claudia, I am SOOO disappointed to hear that you don't like pickles... I'll forgive you and still love your videos. 😂
This is typical for Italians. They're not into pickles. I have bought almost every jar of pickles I can find in my local stores and they all suck horribly. So, I make my own. I mean, I made my own in the US as well, but I HAVE to make my own in Italy.
What I can say that might give a ray of hope is that I had some friends over for dinner a few weeks ago. And they know about my desire for good pickles and they wanted to try mine. And they liked them! They said that they were way better than they thought they would be.
She anything can't do right since because pickles.
She is not an objective reviewer, very narrow in her preferences...wondering who thought it is a good idea to let her do this.
@@sreenivasgannavaram8609 I was pretty sure we all thought it was a great idea and still think it is, but apparently not
@praesentius as an italian i love pickles on burger... is just you
Claudia looks a little horrified at some of those burgers😅😅😅😅
chili cheese bites are BY FAR the best item in italian BK's menu. these and the big king xxl, a solid, ultra-classic damn good burger
do you guys order from just one BK/KFC etc. or do you order small bits from multiple stores? Might be able to get your full order if you just split it up to different places because as someone who works in a ktichen, seeing this massive order would be nuts lol.
would you rather wait awhile at one store for your food and possibly not get something or would you like to drive all over to multiple stores waste gas and probably a lot more time for the same possibility of still not getting your whole order? I have ordered literally 3 things and they still forgot one thing and thats happened more than once at different BK's
they go to multiple to get all the products they're looking for
@@kendramasse yeah it would make sense that they would be considerate of that; comment above doesn't understand lol
1:55 why the whopper from USA looks like someone sit on it while whopper from Italy look's Fantastic 😂
Claudia... Bella Bella Bella!!! 🌹
11:08 had me dying "somewhat inferior version" 😂😂😂
Thumbs up from those that watched Small Soldiers in the cinema back in the day 🙂
Great film.
By the way, you can cut a fish into square meat😂
It's hilarious that on an episode with Italy, they screw up the fact french toast was an Italian creation.
"why drinks lose their volume in a cup" I'm pretty sure its the ice. Ice has a higher volume than water so as the ice melts the volume will lower. so it was "38 Fo" but it goes down slowly as the ice melts.
since Claudia showed up here in Food wars. this series is getting better, and roasting not only US versions of fast food but also not a huge fan of eating fast food! thank you insider!
Italian BK actually looks tasty 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
As an American who lives in Tuscany, I can assure you, it's usually a disappointment.
As an Italian born and raised, nah I actually like it @@praesentius
@@praesentius Agree with Giacomo. As an italian, I love it.
Just what I needed thanks
5:35 you need to Claudia, stay slim and keep 3.0-ing!😂😂😂😂
We don't have mozzarella sticks in Italy but we have mozzarella in carrozza: slices of mozzarella inside two loaves of paincarré dipped in a batter, then covered with breadcrumbs and fried
We absolutely do have mozzarella sticks. Dove vivi, scusa? Li vendono in qualsiasi supermercato e li puoi ordinare in quasi ogni birreria.
The burgerking in Mexico was so damn good. Probably as good as JackIntheBox in its prime days. It was so busy too.
There's so much delicious accessible street food in Mexico that's much cheaper than any American fast food restaurant. Unlike in the US, people in Mexico tend not to visit fast traditional food restaurants as often. They're seen as closer in level to like a Chili's or Applebee's (which they have too).
That being said, from my experiences the American fast food restaurants I've tried in Mexico have generally been better overall than their US counterparts. I imagine the bump in quality is so they can compete with all of the better cheaper street food available all over the place.
There's a single Burger King in all of Mexico?
Claudia ❤

I worked at BK here in Texas from 2005-2007, and we only had the veggie burger in terms of vegetarian option. It was not cooked in the flame broiler! Largely because it would've burnt that way. It was heated in the microwave though, which... doesn't sound appetizing either way.
These are Impossible Whoppers not the veggie patty that was offered in the early 2000's.
There have even been court cases re: them not being vegetarian because they are cooked on the same surface as the beef patties.
I don’t think there are a lot of calories in this kind of food. It feels bad for the body. Would you still choose this kind of food?
I really liked your Video when you tried Indian McDonalds and American McDonalds😃🤩😋
Awesome job joe for Italy.
as soon as i get the notification saying a new food wars episode is out, it completely brightens my day!
Austria
Across various accounts of croissant history, most sources agree that it originates from Austria as the kipferl. Made from a yeasted wheat dough, the kipferl is a baked bread roll common in Central Europe.
Still not very clear, dude !
Heard it might be from 🇹🇷
More US versus Italy. More Claudia!!
Italians really are nutella addicted 😂😂😂
I knew Joe didn’t like pickles, but Claudia doesn’t like pickles also? Oof, must be hard. 😅 Anyhow, didn’t know you can get Burger King in Italy. 👏 😋
Also, I remember trying the BK-equivalent of a McRib in Italy, but I completely forgot what the name was, but it’s probably not available anymore.
Been watching food wars now for the past 2 years and I just have to say American food is just so substandard.I love Claudia she's so amazing 😍 🥰 Italy has amazing food. Never knew that they had this tasty stuff Love to try it! Joe does the food wars and we love to get entertained.
id say some usa stuff better than uk where im from and visa versa ie i love uk zinger but usa spicy id say is more spicy also i see in usa they have a shatsukka frittata in pret in usa which ill get once im in new york
Claudia is terrible. They need someone that will actually try the food and sauces.
@@Had22scan't really blame her for not diving into 5 hour old burgers and cold fries...
@@denniswoycheshen she could try all the sauces.
2:56 dude even added the crown for insult, lol. Also Italy BK gets wild with the cheeses !
those Italy king burgers sound delicious...their big king is better than ours, cause it actually looks like a big mac lol...we need the bacon king 3.0..and I like that Bronx steakhouse.
5:13 Har-cel face is such a refreshing thing to see 😅 🇵🇸
I like how she asked why the bacon was brown. Our bacon is brown lol
Please do south Africa!
that's wild that there's so many exclusive Burgers at BK Italy, you're holding out on us BK!
Do Portugal next
I miss the Big King XXL when it was here in the UK... it was like a Big Mac but actually big and tasted amazing compared to the thing it was copying... wish it would come back...
"Imagine I was driving" Sir. 😂😂😂😂
I've missed Claudia so much 💙
I just wanna to see an USA vs. Brazil sometime. Idk but seeing the USA menu's it feels so different than what we have here
Outstanding review. Can you please review In-N-Out Burger if possible. 🙏
good video
I love Joe! "Double Diarrhea" 💩 nonchalant comment lol 😂 ❤🫶. Bring back Food Tours!
good episode never had burger king in italy im one these people who eats what italians eat or spanish when in spain , so instead coke and burgers its wine and pasta parma ham burger soun ds delish but then i can just buy some parma ham and stick it on a burger
4:37 That totally a Big Mac if BK made Big Macs.
Joe. From one American to another. The BBQ sauce here from German McDonalds is straight up the same. If you wanna buy a good BBQ sauce get the one from HP, very good!
As an ‘Merican living in Europe now 25 years - I agree with Joe: the US has far less interesting BK & McD’s than Germany, GB or France. 2 things tho - Been to 2 KFCs in France and YOU COULDN’T GET PIECES OF CHICKEN! I shout that because it’s somewhat incomprehensible but they only had wraps, nuggets or chicken burgers. Also, The Netherlands menus SUCKS for BK & McD’s - it hardly ever changes, has about 70% of the US menu, and ketchup costs 50 cents!BKs seem to be dying off vs McDs, but either way - they are pale, bland venues vs what you can find in Asia. You want to have your mind blown? McDs in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand are amazing! The fried chicken is even better than KFC, which only goes to show they *could* do it, if they cared to
Why should a menu change?
BK NEEDS to go under in my opinion; they haven't been relevant since the early 2000s and got rid of their best performing products, plus their newfangled "fuel efficient" so-called is absolute garbage and makes their food taste more artificial than it already is.
I ain't reading allat
She literally looks like an Greek goddess
9:59 - excuse me- royale with cheese? What do they call a Big Mac?
How long ago was this filmed cause saying when he goes to Europe. Yet there’s a few videos of when he visited Harry in the uk and did the forgin exchange series
(Before people come for me I know uk is not in eu but is in the content of of Europe )
We need Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Germany, France vs England, China, India, Mexico, USA. Just a suggestion
"Thank you for taking us such a beautiful place. I enjoy watching this nice walk!"
"French toast sticks" Got me dying on the floor
Mantap burgernya pasti terasa banget
I love pickles.
i would LOVE a version of this with no USA
i only go to burgerking when the drive threw line at McDonalds is to long
❤❤ CLAUDIA ❤❤
Wow, a surprising guest... I didnt expect to see her here in this channel..😂😂
40 minute video of burger king?? I was over this in 3 minutes.
Hey guys can you tell me why is they doing this not Complete full of UK
after that japan and china also this?
big macs are 99p in the uk next week , thats 1 dollar 23c roughly !!!
in nz burger king has closed stores they were placed in receivership in 2020, they still have a few stores in some malls
we got rodeo burger in brazil and also a rodeio whopper which is my favorite
There's many that I want to be in Food Wars like Australia, Canada, Ireland, Singapore, South Korea, China, Brazil, France, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa & Russia.
Who will agree to this?
Honestly, Food Wars: France would be entertaining if nothing else.
Just some guy refusing to acknowledge the concept of fast food and getting increasingly angry for 30 mins.
Jeez Claudia, I never thought I'd seeing you eating Burger King..
the ice takes some space in the cup so is going to be less liquid
Can’t trust a person who HATES pickles everything has its place
Joe is just an awesome presenter. Give that man a raise.
*caught* it was the Vienneses that inventet the Croissant in the late 17th. century
I don't think I've ever tried the burger king fish sandwich before
Love the doretoes chicken fries in uk
As a guy that likes to have a good amount of protein with every meal, the US breakfasts seem the way to go. Sure, some (most?) are probably a bit over board but a sausage or bacon, egg and cheese muffin or something like that seems fine. No need for the hashed potatoes and what not.
Most of the burgers from both sides had way too many condiments on them. No need for all those sauces. Thats where so many of the calories come from. A good burger with just the bun, patties and cheese is more than enough. Throwing on the various sauces is either hiding or covering flavors, so what is the point? I do wish parmesan was a more common option world wide.
When you opened up any of those burgers they all look digusting.
CLAUDIA is having fun...yeah 😃😃😃😃😃☺️
In Italy also we have 4 sizes for French fries and beverages: small, medium, large and king
I love how our large soda is smaller than the american small soda. I get now why there's a lot of talk about obesity and issues with sugary drinks in the US.
Also "crispy chicken automatically makes it non italian to me"...milanese chicken says "am I a joke to you"? Guess she gets a pass because she's from southern Italy.
Please do Mexico
Um, actually: croissants where invented in austria in vienna not france. plus french toast is really more italian then french too.
I love croissants being used as sandwich bread. Can't always be loaf bread or rolls. Texture and taste are so different.
The reason why is they add ice so it takes up more space. It is a 38 oz cup with 32oz liquid because of 6oz of ice
‘what am i missing here’
6 oz’s
Tampak enak semua
If you ever do something different like Spain vs Mexico. I offer myself as tribute as Spain's representative 🙌🏼🇪🇸
Claudia's face is running at NVIDIA Ultra Path Racing 8K resolution 😂😂😂 so shiny. You are beautiful claudia! Keep explaining the types of cheese❤
Italian BK exclusive burgers look good - and big!
Loving food wars
Claudia is so glamorous.
I can't think of a single BK near me that's close to a McD's... maybe one is like a quarter mile away, which is pretty close but not like "across the street". My closest BK is like 10 minutes from the closest McD's. Kinda odd to consider that. Altho I feel like what I've always witnessed is Taco Bell being close to McD's. A lot of Taco Bells near me have usually been immediately next to or across the street from a McD's.
I'll give US BK credit -- the Impossible patty works exceptionally well with the other usual Whopper toppings to provide a burger that's not too far off from the actual beef version.
Order it as a double sometimes and watch the magic break. It's quite crazy the difference.
