  • This video is a strategic analysis of Steve Jackson's game, Munchkin, published by Steve Jackson Games, of course. It runs through general strategies and specific tactics that will give you an edge against your fellow munchkins. Neither chases you, so you automatically escape.

KrivitskyM Imagine if a player suddenly puts a "go up a level" on you? And then they go ahead and put that card that makes a player run away even if they can defeat the monster and add -1 run away curse and if they succeed put the card that makes the other player roll the die again, once he fails laugh at them and watch them lose all their items....

I was playing once with 3 other people. We were all level 9. We all had so many items and good stuff, but one player had pretty much no items and like 3 cards in their hand, but they were cleric. I picked up the divine intervention and the really bad player won, bruh.

Once you've see a level 9 cleric and divine intervention has not been played you have to constantly try to curse/steal a level if possible on that player, and also discard any door cards before their turn if there is a low level monster on top of the discard pile. and try to be alert of "The wand of dosing" it is pretty much an easy win if Divine has already been played. you need to pretty much of the other players on the same mentality to prolong the game

Once you start adding expansions, some of this strategy goes out the window.
Still, it's a lot of fun.

B Huse BTW, I'm a beginner, I bought munchkin 1 and 2 and 6. So did I purchase the right one? Obviously munchkin 1 is a must and I'll be playing with 3 of my other friends, Is it better if I put munchkin 1 by itself, or munchkin 1 and 6, or munchkin 1+2, or just all 3 together? At first I was thinking of getting munchkin, and holiday surprise + princesses, and later on get 6

Also won a bunch of times by waiting for a couple other failed level 10 attempts and swooping in once others have burned up most of their cards.

That's risky because you may not get your turn before all spoiling cards are burned up. I wish there were cards that make you interrupt someone's turn or switch the direction or something like that.

"Munchkin" really needs its creators to take the time and make campaigns/decks. Just adding in all the new cards breaks the game. Also it's not two-player at all. For these reasons it's meh.
