You can never pay too much for comfort, they absolutely are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. I’m 60 years old and I’ve had every kind of boot. I have a closet full of boots boots Keynes, Red Wings Thorogood, I do like the Thorogood boot, but not as much as the Boondock, Thorogood is my second choice, but I will pay the extra hundred dollars for the Boondock just because they are so soft inside

This video now is 5 years old so, how long did the boots last and what kind of work did you do ?

    • @builttoughtooltalk

They lasted probably about 1.5 years and I do framing, drywall and taping work.

    Nice review.
    Pretty accurate.
Judging from.the drywall dust, I'm gonna say ya.work inside. I bought them for outside winter work. I found them warm. But bulky. I was walking a ton and they weren't overly heavy but just bulky - I was in tight spaces and climbing and crawling. The price is hard to get past. But I needed composite - and the options are few.
    Cheers

I’m a builder, framing custom homes on the cape , harsh winters outside. These are the most comfortable and toughest boot on the market

I own the high lace boondocks and the low cuts like you got. Both are super heavy after 12 hrs a day of being on your feet. Recently switched to the Bosshogs and now feel i can run 100 miles in these Hogs. Check em out.

Great video. I got a pair of them today. I was going to get the wolverine durashocks. I put the durashocks on and it was comfortable but I went over and grabbed the boondocks and i just had to put the durashocks back. I kept the boondocks on. They look like they are not comfortable until you put them on and walk in them. They feel like walking on a cloud. I am with you on these. I would most definitely keep buying the boondocks. I haven't worked in them yet but will give another review after I wear them for around 13 to 14 hours. I am confident that after working long hours, my feet won't hurt at all. Thanks for this video.

@@builttoughtooltalk update on the boots. I worked 16 hours night shift from 7 pm to 11 am walking on concrete floors. I walked and walked pretty much around 13 to 14 hours out of 16 hours and let me say that when I got home, I had enough energy to get my yard done and be awake all the way until that night. My feet did not hurt one bit. I had my partner from work ask me are my boots heavy because they look heavy and I said no they are light. He couldn't believe it. But out of all of the boots I ever tried, these are the ones I will get every time I need boots. I advise anyone that is looking for work boots that will keep you working at your best, these are the answer. Also I love the insoles, but if you need more cushion then u advise the new balance pressure relief insoles as well. They work way more better than the timberland pro insoles. At first I worked 12 hours and it kind of hurt my feet due to having to breaking them in from all the walking I do. But that next day I worked without having to worry about my feet one bit. Everyone was asking me how I got so much energy, I told them it was my boots. It returned energy to my feet, that's why I performed my best. I will forever buy these boots.

Is this boot for extremely wet environment?

    • @builttoughtooltalk
      @builttoughtooltalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I wouldn’t think so but I don’t work in those environments to give good feedback on that.

Had them for a couple months now.
First off, they are fuckin huge... like an old school scuba diver. They are comfortable but again, not at all agile because one again... they are fuckin huge. I bought the 600g thinsulate specifically for working during the coldest days in winter. The boots are incredibly warm, probably because they are fuckin huge. I build custom homes year round and im happy to wear these on frigid days but that's the only time they are worth wearing

Nice vid, I JUST ordered Timberland Pro from Amazon. I’m a truck driver, my boots are on 18+ hrs a day. So I want quality and comfort. My employer will GIVE me a FREE pair of boots every year.... BUT, they are poor quality, ripping after 4 months, laces broke to. Once they’re broken in, they’re ready to trash.

Once you ditch the junk insoles for powersteps and realize that they are not really waterproof, they're great.

    This boots are garbage!!
After 6 month even less the shoes destroyed. I had two of them. The same shit happened with both of them.
    I am done with them.

I use them in oil gas industry and our pipeline in next to railroad. Lot of sharp rocks there. Best boots ever, better than Keen Milwaukee and Keen Philadelphia
