Welcome to my HD Picture in-Picture English Gameplay Walkthrough of Yo-Kai Watch for the Nintendo 3DS! Throughout this series, I'll be guiding viewers through the game, collecting and befriending as many Yo-kai as possible! Get the game and play along with me!

In Yo-Kai Watch, you must explore the in-game world to discover more than 200 Yo-kai, each with unique skills, strengths and personalities. These spooky, sometimes cute and usually mischievous Yo-Kai secretly inhabit our world and it's your job to find and befriend them! Just don't be surprised if strange things start happening once you locate them!
After selling millions and being a cultural phenomenon in Japan, Yo-Kai Watch is coming to the United States for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Yo-Kai are not ghosts, monsters or creatures. Yo-kai are, quite simply, Yo-kai. They cannot be seen by the human eye, but they are everywhere. Whether born from the soul of a deceased human, or an everyday object discovering its higher purpose, their personalities are distinctly humanlike.
Choose to play as Nate or Katie and with the power of the Yo-kai watch, find and befriend more than 200 hidden Yo-kai, found everywhere in the world, and call upon their powers when you need their help.
Assemble a team of six Yo-kai in your watch to defeat evil and help people. Each Yo-kai has its own unique skills and strengths, so use strategy to assemble your team to address different problems and fight different evil Yo-kai.
Make your Yo-kai Watch more powerful so you can see higher-ranking Yo-kai and upgrade your Yo-kai as you play through the story. Use the touch-screen in battle to initiate Soultimate moves, purify inspirited Yo-kai and give your Yo-kai food, beverages and medicine to heal them. Challenge your friends to a local wireless Yo-kai battle!
Collect physical medal toys that all have QR Code patterns on the back and can be scanned into the game and exchanged at the in-game post office for an in-game coin. In-game coins can be used at the Crank-a-Kai to have a chance of getting rare Yo-kai or a helpful item!

my attempts were.......how would i put this......lucky?
I had already gotten dromp and tengu before i knew they were part of the kyubi quest, then when i attempted for the betrayed blade i thought it was gonna take forever, but boy, was i wrong! IT TOOK ME ONE TRY AND ONE TRY ONLY! and when i attemped for the golden tofu, i was battling a mama aura, and a GOLDEN WISP showed up. so i hit it.......AND GOT 2 GOLDEN TOFUS! 2 GOLDEN TOFUS!!! and kyubi was a pushover, and right after he befriended me, my legendary page filled, and i got KOMASHURA! best day ever. and then i rematched mckraken to level up kyubi and i got a HOLY EXPORB when i won. wow. i am lucky.

Funny coincidence! So I was trying for Kyuubi today cause I need him to unlock a Legendary Yokai, but wrote him off cause I'm just not up to tackling the Infinite Inferno yet. (You're guides are great btw. Even though I'm watching years later, they're still great background noise while I Rare Hunt).
I kid you not, I _just_ got a Golden Tofu drop from a wisp from the Mama Aura Yo-Kai Spot in the museum! I wanted to see if I could befriend her since I still have no luck trying for an Auntie Heart in the Crank-A-Kai.
No greedy yokai on my team. Just some popular yokai and some wisp stalling. So looks like a soft reset of the Museum Yo-Kai Spot is a viable option. Though I couldn't tell anyone the odds.

Just got Kyuubi this morning! After getting the Golden Tofu and already having the Forever Flower, I decided to just go for the Betrayed Blade and Typhoon Fan. Got both in about 2 hours last night! Beat Kyuubi this morning before work.
I hope you get Komashura soon! I'm still working on getting Kyubi though.

I see what those items are..... they are all based on Elements I believe. The tofu could be water because normally Tofu is put in water so it won't dry out I think. Flower is earth, Fan is wind, and the sword has fire on its blade.

The reason you could go in to the school is because you get the school key once you defeat Tarantutor.
Hey.. I tried getting s rank watch with lvl 40 yo Kai... I used infinite holy exporb glitch now they're lvl 70

The bonus scene that I got for defeating Tengu was funny because it was the one with Jibanyan and Dismerelda but it was the jackpot version so it showed Kyubi which was ironic seeing as this video is for Kyubi

I always thought kyubi was a girl but kyubi is a guy

Forever Flower took 2 hours. May or may not have cried when I got it.
Betrayal Blade took 5 minutes. I looked at my sis and laughed.
Was stuck in the Infinite Inferno for 6 hours trying to beat Eyedra. I hated him then and I hate him now. And Hoggles -_-
Golden Tofu took about 3-4 hours. I i cried when I found it XD
And lastly, the Typhoon Fan took 3 minutes. I was just training and I found one XD

it was fairly easy for me to get them all. Except the betrayed blade.. The blade was a pain

Omg i'm lucky! I didn't know if he meant the normal one or the white pinkipoo cuz he didn't say but this is how it went for me: 1st try {normal one}- didn't get it 2nd try {white one}- omfg i got it! As for the others, got the Betrayed Blade after 12 tries, got the Typhoon Fan in 2 tries, and finally the Golden Tofu in 5 tries. The tofu one was the most annoying for me cuz Mama Aura decided to not spawn very often for me but I did it in the end. Yay! :D
My team for Hoggles and Eyedra were Shogunyan, Shadow Venoct, Count Cavity, Damona and Dragon lord
I accidentally uncovered the boss with my befriending team. I was so lucky to have made it through

Dromp and Tengu are Yo Kai that are a force befriend and there are only 1 of them in every game also Zerberker is also a force befriend but you can find him in the infinite inferno 7th circle
it would be cool if when I get this game for Christmas I hopefully can collect Kyubi and Frostail
So I'm having a go at this quest at the moment, and I have a question!
I noticed you have an awful lot of S ranks at lvl81 going into this, and I was wondering:
is it more important to have the S ranks in your party, or have them over lvl80 to manage this quest?
Because my team is all around lvl85, but I have yokai ranging anywhere from S to C, so should I be switching some one them up for higher ranks?

If you are wondering, you can get the items from the white version of the enemys
you get shogunyan by getting happierre mochismo tattletell castelius III jibanyan draggie leadoni then go in back of medallium page will be shining, press A and it will do legendary summon song then shogunyan will appear.

If you lose, you have to get the golden tofu again. Also you have to wait another day.
You need Quaken from the elementary school at night to get Komashura.
Abdallah if you get a Jibanyan from infinite inferno you can morph him with jewels you get the jewel versions of him in the credits
The key items in the cave (both) fixes Minecart so time for secret duwheel boss
you can get the key items way easier with a yo-kai that has greed it makes them drop rate items easier
