The only reason and I mean the only reason Yo-kai Watch 3 flopped is because of its release date. Plain and simple. Everyone had moved on to the switch (except for me) so no one cared at all.
I really wish this series got more love, because YW3 is easily one of the best games I've ever played. There's just so much content that it rivals even my favorite Pokemon games, no joke.

I still havent completed the third game. I had a bad save happen during a transfer that killed my save. I wonder how the post game is. I was at the part on a side quest where I would have gotten that yokai that was have human/zombie with what looked like a mechanized blade.

Picking this game last year was the best decision I made for the last get to get before the eshop closes. I am surprised of how much I liked it. There is so much to do, the music is great and the story was good. It will be a while until I do everything avaliable. Great video!
It's a shame that Inaho(or Haily Anne) doesn't get that much love. In Yo kai watch Music note(the recent anime), Usapyon made tons of appearances without her. I heard she is not well received by japanese audiences which sucks cause she is one my absolute favourite characters in Yo kai Watch and way more interesting than Fumi(or Katie).
This was honestly a really fun series retrospective to binge. Yo-Kai Watch 3 is definitely my favorite mainline game of the series. (Note: I haven’t had a chance to play 4 or the other Switch releases.) It adds so much to what the 1st and 2nd games are built on with a great story, awesome characters, and a really good soundtrack. Plus I enjoy all the American tropes and stereotypes thrown in. It’s a real shame the series as a whole flopped in the West. I’m definitely glad I preordered a physical copy when they first revealed it.
I remember the night I started playing this game. When my downloaded copy was able to be played, I finished the first chapter at 5 A.M. EST. I'm currently almost finished with everything in this game. Money well spent. 💛
I remember when yo-kai watch blasters released and I got red cat corps and not white dog squad and the worst part is my dad asked me if I wanted that game and I said, "No thanks, I'm fine with this one!" Years later I have every physical copy of the game except white dog squad, and I still regret it to this day.

oh jeez, i think i remember seeing its US announcement when i was younger and being SO devastated by katie being completely gone that i refused to give the game a chance. that feeling still lingers lol, but if i do get a chance, i'll give ykw3 a try
The biggest thing that hurt this game was the VERY limit release. At my local Gamestop they only had 2 copy of the game and they were perorder. Luckly I was one of them but there were a good size of parents who want to buy the game but couldnt because the Gamestop had no more. I know you could digital buy it most of the parent had to be show how to do it by the employee.
As someone who pretty much 100% the game, (Did Every Quest, completed the Medallion), I have a love hate relationship with this game. It's my favorite game of all time, but I'll never understand why these 80 hour+ RPGs feel the need to have the most unnecessary padding I've ever seen. It feels like some sort of inside joke that you have to do the Yells Kitchen dungeon not only everytime you want to unlock a new area, but whether or not you get a new area in of itself is random. Or the fact I had to grind running up and down a loading zone to get the Mushroom Lady to spawn for hours. Or the fact there are some Yo Kai hidden away in some 1% random encounter every time you use a Train, and you still have to go through the random chance of befriending them. It's baffling, at least with daily events I can understand the principle of that creating artificial rarity for the sake of trading, I don't know why you need that in a game with version exclusives but still, yet there is no logic behind the main brux of it all, it makes the game feel as if it lacked playtestors because there's no way anyone remotely sane could think half of the stuff present in the game is ok.
theres soooo many legendary groups in this game, and one you seem to have skipped over, the treasure legends like El Dorago and Meowpatra. Love this game man.
This game introduced a lot of yokai I liked, a shame more people haven't played it. It's really fun, and loaded with content. I bought it like 3 years ago, and I can still go back and find new stuff I haven't done.
3 is so good, I just didn’t replay it as much as 2, since I was kinda sick of the 3DS at that point. This video was originally gonna release on my Birthday, but it’s good to have part 4 regardless!
It's really good to see someone that also has YKW3 as their favorite game in the series, i do too, and it's really sad to see so many people disliking this game. Every single person I know that played Yo-kai Watch games say 1 or 2 is their favorite and they also go on to say how much they don't like the third game, and almost always they only like more the first two games because they played it first and are biased towards them. Is that bad? Not really. But when they use it as a way to nitpick or hate 3 and overlook the things it offers because it's different from the earlier games, it just makes me MAD. That said though, I'm glad you love this game, as it just makes the video even better to watch, seeing that you did a really great job with these on YKW. Edit: And by the way, if Level-5 decides to port another game to Switch like they did with the first game, i hope it's this one as it deserves another chance. This is truly one of the greatest games I’ve ever played. There a solid handful of games I like better than it but zero games have made me feel the same way yo Kai watch 3 did. It’s probably in no small part to being younger but what a game. It’s so much better than anything Pokémon’s released and I so sorely wish that it would have stayed around in the west.

It’s a shame that physical copies are so rare now, I remember seeing a bunch of them in stores around 2019 but never picking one up because at the time my 3ds was broken. (I regret it a lot now). With the eshop shutting down as well it just makes me sad to think that such a great game will become even less accessible here in the united states.
The one thing I personally never liked about Yokai-Watch 3 was just how many of the merican yokai were just based off food. Huge missed opportunity of a line of yokai inspired by Cryptids. Alongside that, I think it was a shame just how little the Merican Yokai Boss theme played in the game.

I wished I played yo Kai watch 3 but I am not being serious only one store in like Rhode Island miles away had the game, that when I started to think yo Kai watch was dieing compared to the last to games which were every were.
Ive had Clown Time actually glitch out the textures in Southmond, and it made me scaried if i was going to lose my game launch svae data. Had to force turn off the system when it failed to close the game, but its ok now. I actually uploaded the general trippyness from it, and couldn't recreate it afterward.
I've seen that glitch before actually but it wasn't triggered by Clown Time, it was by going to a different screen and going back quickly. I think there's just something up with Southmond sometimes.
TBH I stopped playing Yokai watch 3 during chapter 5, because I didnt want to burn out but then I stopped playing for so long that I forgot what I was doing LOL. Im replaying it on the second file and I'm hoping that I can revisit it more then I do yokai watch 2. Also TH-cam didnt notify me of your video until 2 weeks later like wtf my guy
So fun fact about how big this game is: this was the first thing I bought when I got my New 3DS XL. The game flat out couldn’t be downloaded because it was bigger than the default amount of space on New 3DS XL. You need an SD card for it to even work.

One of, if not, the best game I've ever played. Certainly better than Gen 8. The only thing I dislike is that they kept key quests in, though it is better than it was in ykw2.
When yo Kai watch 3 release I had no clue I have to find out Thur the eshop thankfully I was lucky enough to get it at a GameStop that only had one copy due to no one ordering the game

I will always think that the 3rd game has the weakest story because it doesn’t really know how to do it the best. Sometimes the Nate plot was better, and other times the Inaho plot was better. But it’s still a fun game. Just not to 100% though. Getting all the Yo-Kai in the American Release is pain.
It's been debunked. That web page has been around for months but just recently noticed by fans. It's been over exaggerated. It's basically just a way for other companies to team up with Level-5 for potential international releases and Japan releases iirc. So yeah, it's highly unlikely anything will come from it
Like the general American population, my interest in yo kai watch was pretty low by the time 3 released. I put way too many hours into 1 and 2, had Wibble Wobble on my phone for its entire lifespan, and even downloaded some of the japanese versions of mobile games (and got kicked off of them when the system realized I wasn't supposed to be getting those ones because I didn't download it how I was meant to). But for whatever reason, now in 2023, I kept getting yo kai watch videos in my recommended. Maybe it's time to *definitely legally download* yo kai watch 3 and play it, a lot of the quality of life features alone are enough to convince me.
I loved this game, but my 3DS battery is wrecked and the charger is almost unusable. I might need to buy another one. The data saves if I insert the SD card in the console right?
I think Galaxy is definitely in the discussion for that, I disagree with Chrono Stone though. It's a good game, but the low chances to get recruitment items and the sheer length of matches make it a bit frustrating for me.

Never got to play 3 cause didn't knkw it existed till last year
99% of my hours had went into blasters T such a good mode
One of, if not, the best game I've ever played. Certainly better than Gen 8. The only thing I dislike is that they kept key quests in, though it is better than it was in ykw2.
I managed to snag Yo-kai Watch 3 and White Dog Blasters just before the 3DS eShop went down glad I remembered
I wish I got it when it came out. This game is now 300-400
The only thing I don't agree is that Level-5 Magna Opus is Professor Layton and the Unbound Future

When yo Kai watch 3 release I had no clue I have to find out Thur the eshop thankfully I was lucky enough to get it at a GameStop that only had one copy due to no one ordering the game

I will always think that the 3rd game has the weakest story because it doesn’t really know how to do it the best. Sometimes the Nate plot was better, and other times the Inaho plot was better. But it’s still a fun game. Just not to 100% though. Getting all the Yo-Kai in the American Release is pain.

Yo kai watch is peak 3ds, no Mario 3d land, no Pokemon, nothing compares to the 4 Yo kai watch games and their masterful design

It's been debunked. That web page has been around for months but just recently noticed by fans. It's been over exaggerated. It's basically just a way for other companies to team up with Level-5 for potential international releases and Japan releases iirc. So yeah, it's highly unlikely anything will come from it
Like the general American population, my interest in yo kai watch was pretty low by the time 3 released. I put way too many hours into 1 and 2, had Wibble Wobble on my phone for its entire lifespan, and even downloaded some of the japanese versions of mobile games (and got kicked off of them when the system realized I wasn't supposed to be getting those ones because I didn't download it how I was meant to). But for whatever reason, now in 2023, I kept getting yo kai watch videos in my recommended. Maybe it's time to *definitely legally download* yo kai watch 3 and play it, a lot of the quality of life features alone are enough to convince me.
I loved this game, but my 3DS battery is wrecked and the charger is almost unusable. I might need to buy another one.

It should, just make sure the save data is on the SD card.

I think Galaxy is definitely in the discussion for that, I disagree with Chrono Stone though.
It's a good game, but the low chances to get recruitment items and the sheer length of matches make it a bit frustrating for me.
