    Took a trip to Downtown Houston, Tx.
    Did some night photography with my trusty Fujifilm x100v.
    Filmed with the DJI Osmo Action.
    All pictures were created with the Fujifilm x100v.
    Night photography can be a challenge, no less to a crop sensor camera.
    However, the beauty of night photography is to seek out available light and using it to your advantages.

    What settings on the camera did you use for this ?

    • @ChaconJairo

      I can share a bit of what I did. I used the Cinebloom diffuser - 20% strength and I had the white balance temperature set to 2500k. You have a great recipe taking pictures at night with at least the 2500k white balance shift. You can control the highlight and shadow tones to your liking.

    Are you using wide tracking in this video? Curious if that would yield better results than single point but judging by these beautiful photos I think I already know the answer haha Just would like to here your take!

    • @ChaconJairo
      @ChaconJairo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Yes, I am using Single Point on Single shooting mode. Although x100v lens is a new design, it definitely is not in the same field as the XT3/XT4/XPro3 continuous AF. Especially if I am shooting at F2 aperture at night. Hope this helps! :)
      Happy shooting.

      @@ChaconJairo that most definitely does help thanks a lot man! Single point definitely seems to do a great job at keeping everything in focus especially at night! If you don’t mind me asking one more question, what is your maximum iso used in this night walk? Are you set to 1/100 ss and go from there or are you using a bit lower like 1/80 or 1/60 ss?

    • @ChaconJairo
      @ChaconJairo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justindelmedico8544 I honestly don’t mind answering questions! :) please ask away!
      I went back to look for the EXIF information. The max ISO is set at 3200. Minimum shutter speed is 1/250. This mean my ISO will not go above 3200 and my shutter speed would not drop below 1/250 of a second.
      I normally put my ISO in Auto. I use my command dial to control my exposure compensation. I can basically shoot one handed with this set up.

    • @justindelmedico8544
      @justindelmedico8544 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChaconJairo wow I can’t believe you can get away with keeping your ss so fast and iso so low!! And when you refer to the exposure setting, do you mean you control it with the wheel on the top or by the spinning thing on the front of back ? And I really appreciate your help man it’s nice to see that you are so willing to get others achieve the results they want!! Your the best dude!!

    • @ChaconJairo
      @ChaconJairo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justindelmedico8544 I know what you mean! Honestly, big cities are lit up like Christmas every night. You’d be surprised what you can get but definitely need to use a lens at f2 or faster to be able to suck in as much light as possible!
      Yes, I mean controlling exposure compensation using the rear dial instead of the top dial. It makes it easier to control exposure.
      🙏🏼 it’s my pleasure. I really want to create more videos that are inspiring and also informational. Gotta give me time. I think my channel is due for another video!

      @@ChaconJairo that’s insane. They look so good man. Do you find yourself just shooting in JPEG mode rather than JPEG + RAW?

    • @ChaconJairo
      @ChaconJairo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@hectojet honestly, I just shoot in RAW and then convert to JPEGS. I tweak it. Instead of editing in my computer, I do it on the camera. Once I find a setting I like, I save it to a custom profile so I don’t have to do it again. But I’m always tweaking settings. I’ll make a video about this topic soon.
