I bought $5,000 worth of Fujifilm photographic equipment. I also bought $5,000 worth of Leica photographic equipment. I was able to get one Fuji mirrorless digital body and five Fujinon lenses for $5,000. I was able to get 1 Leica rangefinder digital body for $5,000.
Wow! Are you thinking about staying with one system or keeping both? Do you have a preference? Do you see a major difference in image quality?
@@ChaconJairo It is a long story! In my film only days, I shot with a Leica M6 35mm film rangefinder with 21/35/90mm lenses. I patiently waited for Leica to produce a full-frame digital rangefinder that I liked and accepted my M6 lenses. While I waited, I bought a Fuji X-Pro1 that I used with adapted manual focus lenses. When Leica eventually released the M10, I bought one for about $5,000. However, it was defective. Leica gave me a full refund. Later, I bought a second M10. However, it too was defective. At that point, I decided to abandon my quest for a Leica digital rangefinder. The Fuji X-Pro1 body and the following Fujinon auto focus lenses cost me about $5,000: 16mm f/1.4 23mm f/1.4 56mm f/1.2 50-140mm f/2.8 16-55mm f/2.8 I was never able to compare the image quality of my Fuji system and my Leica system because my M10 spent more time in the repair shop than I spent shooting with it. However, I have been very satisfied with the images produced by my very reliable Fuji system.

I’d love to hear more about the 13mm. Looking for a fisheye lens, what are your thoughts compared to the Fuji 8mm?
I will definitely make a comparison video on those lenses! The crazy thing is that the Fuji 8mm is not a fisheye lens despite is really ultra wide focal length. It is a rectilinear lens.

If you have a film recipe on but you put it into auto , does it override the recipe? I’m still trying to figure out the settings on my camera, also how do you put the camera into a mode with no recipe ? I’m used to pressing Q and playing with me pre made recipes but don’t know how to switch back to normal, someone help please
Hello! The camera in AUTO will not override the film recipe in camera. The best way to make sure that your camera is in a mode with no recipe is to create a custom C1-C7, and have it set to Standard Provia Film Simulation and leave all other settings alone.

My apologies for the delay in responding! I shoot in RAW and edit in Capture One. Most of the pictures I have already edited and used them for the video. I will make sure to be clear if I am using the in camera raw process JPEGS. Thank you for viewing and for leaving a comment. God bless!

i bought one and only shoot jpegs in full auto especially for the film simulations and the vibe that this camera catches in comparison to my iphone 15 pro wich has a very good camera but not a vintage retro film look...

You can put shutter to T, compensation to C, and ISO to Auto. Set front ring to shutter back ring to ISO and control easely.
what is the difference between what you said, and what the video said? also, what does the T do? i barely got my camera and am still learning

He's saying if the exposure compensation dial is set to C you can use the wheel on the front of the camera to adjust your compensation easier, and if your shutter speed dial to T you can use the wheel on the back of the camera to adjust your shutter speed easier

That's just being lazy, use Manual to control the picture and get the best results.
Of course but sometimes this is a faster way of shooting. Trust me. Been shooting Fuji’s manual setting and always preferred this method. If you’re shooting casually and you have all the time in the world then yeah go ahead and shoot manual.
this is for when you hand your camera off to a friend to snap a quick photo
@@DangklesI always dial in the settings and turn on face and eye detect if I’m handing it over to a friend. People are stupid and will guaranteed screw it up if you leave it to them.

I agree bro, if folks wanna shoot video they should buy video cameras or at least cameras that are more for vlogging, videography, etc.. I hope that Fujifilm don’t give in to the hype and pressure. I was so happy with their XT5 release/campaign; 'photography first'. I also hope photographers/artists/creatives keep supporting them for staying true to photography. Video is awesome, don't get me wrong, I am literally in awe, when I see amazing video work. I have a graphite xpro2 and a black xpro2. The black body has the issue where it randomly/intermittently refuses to turn on until I remove and replace the battery. It’s not an issue to me, or hasn’t been, so far. It’s like a sulky kid that won’t do as it’s told until you give it a hug😂

Yes I agree. This camera is a photographers camera. What is killing photographers cameras. It is video! Why could they not have a camera dedicated to video as it was. Anyway thanks.

Or you can just buy a XE3 for less. Same thing spec wise but smaller and lighter. Xpro2 is a bit overkill for EDC or travel because you don't need 2 memory card slots unless you're a paid photographer. The camera does look and feel premium then XT2 and XE3 hence the price.
I have my x100v for edc. Xpro 2 with a 35mm and that’s about all I would take for traveling but I don’t use that since I have the x100v.

What recipe did you use?
Base is classic negative and push saturation and tweak the white balance in kelvin and wb shift. I’ll make a video sharing more information about this!

I have the same setup! I use picture preview but my photos are always overexposed on the screen but when I review a photo I take, it’s exposed correctly. Do you have that issue?
Hmmm, Maybe you have auto brightness on for LCD/EVF. Perhaps leaving it in 0 instead of auto will help?
Monochrome is my favorite setting when I shoot too. I used the xpro 1 and I love it. Thank you. I will never give up on photography it's in my nature to take photos.
