I know how much skill and work goes into making these Frankensteins happen. Neil is almost showing off here😉 You really have to understand how this stuff goes together and how to match and cross reference parts. Not everyone should try this at home, but it’s awesome to see what’s possible!
I am very loyal to my dealership (even tho they are a 45min drive away) because they are willing to think outside the box to get the things I want on my tractor. There aren't many dealers who will. Keep up the great work, you'll keep customers (and their friends) coming back.
I have a BH77 on my B3300SU tractor. From my understanding, that backhoe was for larger L series machines. Our sales man said he would look into getting us the larger one for our machine, since it was the largest B tractor.
Hey Neil! Fantastic video as always! I just received a die cast Kubota M9960 that I bought from Messick's. The detail on it is phenomenal and you guys had the best price on it. I love it! And I can say I (kinda) bought my first Kubota tractor from Messick`s. Now, I just have to get a place to use a real Kubota ;)
Love this video, Neil. I, too, have an LX3310 (thanks in large part to your videos), and have thought about backhoe options. Mine has the cab, though, and it doesn't look like your BH76 adaptation would work. I'll follow your advice and dig into the parts catalogs. Now about that video retrofitting the new mesh grill inserts onto the LX3310... :-) Thank you, Neil!
Nice setup! would love to see more interchange information for our older tractors. Finding subframes seems to be the kicker. Looks a lot like the Backhoe setup I purchased from Liberty seamless. Local dealers could not even get a subframe for my L3400 and back hose delivery was out 1/2 a year or more. Liberty seamless Fabbed a subframe for an L series the subframe was for a diff model (l2800 or l3301 or something) but only required a few holes to be rounded out on the loader connection to fit. The backhoe itself looks to be a generic model with a PTO-powered pump. and I have both seats similar to yours. Not sure who makes the backhoe itself, lots of Asian characters were hand-written on the hoses but it arrived within a month.
I just called the dealer for them to install my BH 77 backhoe to my L3902. I've been waiting 6 months for the backhoe and an another month for a 12 inch bucket for it. I'm tired of waiting so I'm settling for the 16 inch bucket that came with it. Now waiting on the dealer to come and get it....
I hope you have better luck with your BH76 than I have with mine. The main manifold is leaking everywhere after a couple hundred hours on it :( Not sure if the seals are blown or what has happened.
Nice video I just put a bh75 on my l3800 with subframe and the cross bar that holds tool box and top link bracket has to be removed for backhoe seat did you have to do that also or is there a different cross bar that fits my tracktor
What are the mounts you used on those lower ROPS accessory lights? Looks universal and easy to hook up many light styles. Been looking for a solution like this.
I want to do the same with my LX3310 and BH77. Can you list part #'s for seat, seat mount, and hardware for it ? Also part # for straight control arms for backhoe. Mine has the angled. I've already changed the tractor seat suspension to the one that doesn't swivel.
Neil, I'm just curious enough to ask. I'm assuming you could have the latest and greatest model of any tractor you want. Why do you play the mods game trying to make semi-compatible parts work together? Is it just the challenge of doing what "can't" be done? I admire your tenacity, just wondered what was your motivation.
Been waiting on my bh77 for about a year now. All my dealer will tell is there is no update and they have no idea when I’ll get it. I’m down here in Alabama. Do y’all have the same problem getting bh77s ? Can you offer any insight about whats taking so long?
Hey, a BH76. I've had one since 2009. and had seen maybe two others since then, everyone I've run into have BH77s. I did notice you have a different looking bucket, than the 12" that came with mine, did you adapt a bucket too, or were there options back in the day my dealer didn't mention?

As with an old automotive aftermarket saying goes, "Nothing is bolt on." Thanks Neal!

Dude , I do so enjoy watching you and learning about the Kubota line , good luck with your build
Excellent video. Thanks! 😀
Hey Neal, I work at Mason Tractor Company and we just got in our tan limited edition rtvs. They are sweet!
Won't last long I am sure.

Thank you, Neil!
possible you could drill the holes that are missing in the BH76 frame. We did look at that for mine, but decided it was unnecessary.
Nice project, but somewhat difficult for a regular guy to do without good dealer support. Fortunately for you, you are the dealer! Enjoy!
Yeah inside job....
Is the rod on the hydraulic ram of the backhoe super pitted? What are the black spots on the chrome rod?
Nice video. I think that you have a bit of pitting on your boom ram.
Neil, can you talk a bit about how to add a hydraulic thumb to BH77 on LX2610? I would love to get that done. Thanks for all your videos!!
yea, messy. Not an easy way to get that done.
@@MessicksEquip can you please elaborate? I put one on my 2610 using the rear remotes.
Did a similar thing with my Deere nice setup

Your tractor is now a KUBOTASTEIN 😀
Great topic, Neill!👍
Do you have a way to convert a mechanical thumb on a BH77 to a hydraulic one?
When using a backhoe on the L4701 do you recommend leaving it in gear and with the breaks on??
Thank you
Great videos…
Todd
We have a few videos on backhoe technique. Normally yes, in gear with parking brake set.
Thank you, you are really good at getting back to us.. Keep up the great work..
Us beginners really do appreciate what you do!!!!

Interesting topic Neil. And remember, it’s Frankensteeeen! 😄

It's just the LX cab subframe on the rops version.

I pay for my own equipment just like anyone else. No freebies here.

Its getting better, but yes... backhoes are a problem.
The Neil Mark 1 MOD 1. 😎

Run what you brung!
I don’t know Neil … do you think your dealer may not honor your warranty with all those modifications? 😂😂😂
Where there's a will there's a way!?😁👨🚒
