Hi Rob Down here in South Wales I'm still mowing! (Using my Grin mulching mower) Also had a lot of garden clearance due to the latest storm. Can't count how many fallen trees I've cut up, still the wood burners gonna be happy next winter. Get yourself a Grin mulching mower. Fantastic bits of kit and happily cuts wet grass without making a mess. Cheers
Last “routine” cut Saturday morning, but given the mild weather here in north Nottinghamshire, I anticipate quite a few adhoc cuts up till Xmas. Enjoy the break Rob.
Just finishing my first year - still seems busy even into December, which is coming as a pleasant surprise! Thanks for all the sage advice your channel offers 👍
Thanks Rob for all of your great videos and great advice. I found it all really helpful. Hope that you get lots of rest over the winter months and don’t have to do too much DIY😮! Thumbs up from Gareth in Chorley Lancashire.
Congratulations on 10k subs Rob, well deserved. I've been with you since tbe early days and can say that unlike many creators you haven't changed. You've stayed true to yourself, saying as you see it and haven't deviated or diluted your channel. Keep up tbe great work.
Hey Rob, Its been my first full season as a gardener and running a gardening business.. and my god has it been tough with the weather all over the place here in the south. I didn't quite realise how many rained off days I was going to have but we live and learn. I'm on my last cuts of the season now and booking in hedge work and clearances in now to see me into the new year. Your channels been very insightful and brilliant for someone like me just starting out, keep it up mate, all the best over the winter! 👍🏻
Think I was one of that first 100 subscribers? I keep the comments coming as I know the algorithm likes that and so helps send a penny or two your way. I've got one last grass cut to do and that's me done. Barring a few winter treatments. I'll be spending my time between now and next spring in BQ (as per normal) and looking at different marketing techniques for next year. All the best Rob. 👍
Hi Rob, Glad the 2024 season has been a success for you! Enjoy your break, and no🚚 driving jobs to make it through the winter! Really enjoy your channel! All the best
Well done Rob, enjoy the night out. I’m still mowing the lawns down south, but doing a few hedges as well. Lots of praise to the customers that stick by their gardeners. I’ve got a good few and it’s much appreciated.
Thank you for entertaining me all year Rob , I can only guess how long it must take you to produce your videos but for the most part I have enjoyed you’re trials and tribulations, hope you get a good rest, all the best

Hi rob just found the channel had a right binge watch I was born at 169 kells lane been down south 32 years .i had my own gardening buisness for 20 years until 2015 My truck rolled back full of logs squashed me both hips went through my pelvis that was the end of my working career Keep up the good videos Looking forward to watching great videos for anyone who wants to get into the buisness wish I had videos to watch when I started in 1995 All the best Martin watson
My grandad and gran moved to top of kells lane they had a place at under hill the old folks home Underhill was famous for the light bulb The green house there was Joseph swans work shop where he invented the light bulb Before that they were at olive gardens opposite the cricket ground as a youngster I used to run around the cricket pitch with Brendon foster or I used to chase him around on my little trike lol probably about 1970
In North Yorkshire it's still really mild and the grass is growing considerably still! So I'm cutting right up til the third week in November, otherwise the grass will be a foot long come March! Forecast is mild and dry ish for the next 10 days at least here. Good for me mind, more money in the pocket!
Thanks Rob finished the season off nicely there. Enjoy listening to you this year really good to hear other people opinion on the the season both yours and in the comments helps put everything in to perspective. Hopefully this winter I'm trying not increase my waste line that i seem to be very good then spend February and March puffing and panting. Custard creams and Richard and Judy her we come.😂
Nice feeling isn’t it? Did my last full day mowing for the season yesterday though I do anticipate some calls for an additional mow from quite a few customers. It’s been the best mowing season down on the south coast for many years as we have avoided the enemy of mowing. Drought! Now is the time that you’re glad that you banked lots of winter work, I like enough that I can do half days up until mid December then it’s Miller time until February. I’ve enjoyed your posts and look forward to many more, especially if you do anything on lawn treatments.
thanks for all your vids rob... past couple of years have been harder for me I always feel off at work & don't seem to enjoy it as much now. Hopefully the winter break I can have time to reset
I did my last lawn today so I'm having a few Guinness tonight. On to the garden clearances and hedges next week but tonight cheers Rob 🍻 enjoy the well earned beer

If it’s possible, can you do a couple of videos on the lawn treatment? Yes I’m planning ahead to next November. 😂 thank you and love all the videos brilliant job so many hints and tips you gave everyone. 🎉🎉
It’s about 15 degrees down in Surrey so the grass isn’t slowing up yet! My mowing schedule ends mid November but I’ve scheduled a day a week for lawns that still want a cut. The last few years it’s not actually stopped growing down here but it’s just too wet to mow! Have a nice break👍🏼

Hey Rob, 56 ? You don't look a day over 55 pal :-) I was there this morning at 7am sat outside Greggs with my latte celebrating the 1st November. It has always been a milestone for me; the fact that I am still above ground and all that :-) Rob you are great entertainment even without a a few sherberts. You must be comedy gold after a bit of the old amber nectare. Well I'm 54 and I have got to tell you everything is aching at this time of the year. I am beginning to walk like an orangutan. Friday the 13th December I down tools and then on the 16th it's an empty coffee cup and a pair of traffic lights. Enjoy your well earned drinks pal.
Have a good break Rob, once you've hung up the tools for the winter. Did you hear the one about the bloke that walked into a bar and said 'Ouch'? It was a metal bar!
Rob hope you get a wee bit of a break now the grass cutting has finished. Radio Headphone are the way forward, a must if you are working in a noisy environment and they keep you sane, saves having to listen to that inner voice!! I have also got one of that never ending lists waiting to be presented to me 😀
What are your plans for jan and feb, do you carry your commercial work right through or just do one off jobs like hedge and garden tidys and wait till March to get back to your regs
Hey rob, I love watching your videos and Ive for years now wanted to leave my job and do grass cutting service, but realistically I don't think Id get the same money as I do now currently hit 40k with a little bit O.T would that be achievable?
Hi Rob, what would you do in this situation... I cut a new customers lawn afew weeks ago (first time I have done any work for him, and he will be a regular customer from next spring) afterwards I told him I may be over in afew weeks to cut the grass one more time depending on how the weather goes, he paid, everything was fine, so I put him in my diary for today. Rang him twice yesterday, no answer (land line number only) left him a voicemail. Decided to go over today as it's only 10 mins from my house, grass was needing a cut as expected, knocked on door, no answer. I decided to cut the grass anyway and put a note through his door saying" grass cut today, thank you etc.." and wrote my number on it and drove away.its a £30 cut and takes around 40 minutes, What would you have done? Thanks. Always watch your videos.
Iv luckily got 4 more weeks of mowing here in norfolk. Just a quick question are you a member of non payers and nightmare customers on facebook? Alot of people in our line of work on there and some very relatable posts (im nothing to do with the site )

The ground is too wet.
Not for a hover mower 🙂
No one uses a hover mower. 😂
I’m selling mine if you’re interested ??? 😅
They are horrible and dangerous.
The grass is bouncing here in the northwest. Last cuts for me will be towards the end of November.

Hi Rob, what would you do in this situation...

Thanks. Always watch your videos.
I use what’s app to communicate.
You can see when a customer reads your message.
You were spot on , the lawn needed cutting.
@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices would you of cut it if you hadn't heard anything from the customer? Thanks for the reply 👍
Probably not as he was a new customer.
If i saw that he read my what’s app message and didn’t cancel. I would have.
Iv luckily got 4 more weeks of mowing here in norfolk. Just a quick question are you a member of non payers and nightmare customers on facebook? Alot of people in our line of work on there and some very relatable posts (im nothing to do with the site )
I will take a look. All the best.
Ahh probably propped up
Against a lamp post by now😂

It means you’re gonna have a nightmare in march with it being so long
I always get there in the end.
I've got a few to go but looking forward to sitting on my arse and doing nothing. We'll I say nothing, just,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Got a few jobs that can be done at my leisure. And a few jobs at my house. And a few gutter clearances. And two pressure jobs. And a couple of repairs on fences. But apart from that!
I have a list too.
I've got a company called grass barber gardening on TH-cam as well should I buy a battery powered lawn mower
I think they are expensive and under powered.
So not yet
@ChrisShaw-i8q In my humble opinion, not yet.
I used a 22 inch hayter
Brilliant in wet or dry
Great strips with the roller I never got on with Hondas I did try the Izzy range
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Get yourself on a holiday lad
A great idea.
