- The water damage continues.. somewhat as expected. We removed a few more large portions of the interior, including the bathroom and closet (which housed the electrical system). Fingers crossed we find some secret treasures hidden between the walls.

We are San Diego natives, married in 2016, and have always been called to explore the outdoors. As we tackle renovations on our Toyota Motorhome, we will continue to seek out new adventures. We started this channel to capture our experiences and share with friends and family :)

PL premium is your friend when renovating an RV. This caulking (glue) is amazing and holds better than screws & nails.
We are so glad to hear this! We just bought a bunch of this! Thank you!
I wonder when the realization that everything needed to be replaced finally dawned on you.
I'm in the middle of an 84 Toyota huntsman remodeling. I've done away with kitchen and bath
Turned that area into my mater bed. Also my first tiny home. I lucked out with my frame. Also. A tip from a lifelong carpenter, use a vibrating tool or oscillating tool on your rusty screws.
Oh how cool! Would love to see some photos! We greatly appreciate the tip, We will definitely give that a go!
Thanks for coming over to my channel. I just subscribed to yours, so I can follow along with this massive remodel. You've got quite the job ahead of you!!! I thought mine was bad, but you win the prize!
On my marathon remodel week, there were definitely days that we spent half a day getting supplies, then working until after dark. We tried to do the shopping on rainy days when possible, when we couldn't work on the camper anyway.
When you took the closet out, I was waiting to see if the roof fell in. Is it a fiberglass body?
Thanks for checking it out! Yeah we have many long days ahead 😂 Glad to hear we are not the only ones spending a large part of the day just gathering supplies. Surprisingly the roof remained stable when removing both the closet and bathroom. The outside is the corrugated fiberglass in separate pieces.
holy moly that water damage is mad - after a long day working on our van yesterday this is bringing back all the exhausted feels 😅😅 but seeing the finished product is going to be amazing, and all that work replacing the damage is going to pay off ten fold!
Oh yeah.. we are afraid of what else is beneath the walls. Thanks for the encouragement! It will definitely be worth it in the end! I’m glad to hear you can relate 😂
I have watch several renovation videos of RV, thus I purchased one that did not need it. I just removed the dinette and put in a desk in that spot. Looks like you guys are off to a great start.
Haha that’s so smart, it may set us back a bit in time, but we’ll be ahead in costs!
@@JoeandEmmaLee I think it is more lazy, but will except "smart".
😂
Nice digi drum kit you have there 🤘
Cool channel 👍
Haha thanks! Good eye! I may just have to play it in one of the videos now
@@JoeandEmmaLee I'd say that's a great plan 🐐 be the goat !
Hurry up I wanna go camping with you guys.
Haha you’ll be the first! Also, I have extra tools that are looking for empty hands ;)
Wow that orange oil worked great! Wish I would have known. I developed carpel tunnel 🤣😂
Yeah! Haha 😂 that’s rough! I presume goo gone would be good too.
Whoa. Orange oil ftw!! This project is so satisfying. Especially since I’m not the one doing it. 😂😂 but really, I love seeing the thought processes here! It’s very helpful!
Aha so you’re saying you don’t want to come help 😂 yeah it’s one slow fun journey but patience is a must!
@@JoeandEmmaLee It looks like you guys are in Cali, but if we were neighbors, I would definitely help if only to get experience to ruin a build of our own someday. 😂 I don't get enough hands-on time with rebuilding and would love to be a part of making a cool tiny motorhome beautiful again! Patience, however, is something I must work on. I'm not a fan of waiting for parts and things, I just want jump right on in!!
We used 99% rubbing alcohol to remove the old butyl on ours. It worked pretty good 👍🏽 You guys are doing great!
Oh thank you! That is definitely reassuring! Appreciate the kind words!
Great job friends it’s so exciting remodeling! Where’s the first trip going to be? New subscriber 👍
We can’t wait to get to the fun stuff! Our first trip may be the PNW but as this point it might be based on gas prolines 😂
