The silicon thing is because the only to chemicals that can support life is carbon and silicon, humans are referred to as carbon-based life forms in movies because of this. Any silicon based beings would be more metallic/crystal like and weight a lot more and therefore be a lot stronger which is why a lot of sci-fi show refer to their alien being made of silicon.
@No. 1 Spidey-Fan something about where those two elements are placed on the periodic table, I don’t know I just remember learning about it in high school and then noticing it in movies
@No. 1 Spidey-Fan so they both have 4 valiance electrons which gives them a lot of flexibility with the range of compounds they can make. Famous example of this is how depending on how carbon is arranged pure carbon can be substances as weak as graphite (pencil lead) or as strong as diamond, but more importantly is how carbon can work with hydrogen it can form simple compounds like methane CH4 or complex chains like Glucose (actually this is still on the very simple side of what carbon can do) C6H6O12, these are stuff like carbohydrates. Carbon’s unique properties allow it to create plastics and rubbers (some that have come close to replicate human skin). And carbon is the main component in all organisms on earth. Silicon is the next element in the carbon family meaning it is the closest to carbon in terms of properties (right under carbon on the periodic table), which has made it a hypothetical most likely alternative for a life form that isn’t carbon based. Silicon also has its own very wide range of complex applications most notably in nanotechnology/small-material science (computers.)
I really love this movie's take on Kevin's absorbing powers, and I'm glad Omniverse does the same thing, where him absorbing things makes his body more bulky. In Omniverse his features become more jagged, and chiseled, and his chin hairs turn into spikes, and he gets shoulder-pads. It's really cool.
In the earlier scenes, that actually was Cannonbolt you saw in the holograms! In timelining this movie (even though the mention later of it being March doesn’t match up 1:1 with the show’s timeline being roughly in fall), I talked with TJ Collins about how the animation crew was contacted for some sense of character designs for costumes and continuity references. As signified later in the film when Kevin and Gwen change from their AF S1-2 outfits to the ones we see them in during S3, this movie was intended to take place between War Of The Worlds and Vengeance Of Vilgax (though with some small changes in the animated continuity). So yes alongside Ghostfreak, Nanomech was an alien Ben canonically had throughout S3 but never used, though that’s no fault of the crew since - aside from the crew who offered references - they weren’t privy to the movie’s details to integrate anything until UA after they’d seen it themselves!
Also, this film is VERY inconsistent with timeline details as you noted. Two conflicting verbal mentions of the Validus time-skips, and onscreen dates @ 16:20 that, according to the animated timeline, would have taken place a year ago meaning either Ben and Elena should be 11 in this movie or this movie is taking place in like 2012/13. Hell, it doesn’t even match up with RAT’s onscreen dates of September 2007 with this being a sequel. Is Ben supposed to be 13 here? Lol
@TheGlassesPro I appreciate that sentiment a bunch, kind stranger. I wish I had more time to contribute to even my own “professional” ventures, but I’ll admit it’s rough at the moment even as my own singular unit. Happy to be a part of the community however I can, and always thankful for some ‘howdy’s here and there, like yours. Thanks for making me feel welcome!
This movie was the reason for me playing "Just a Little faster" on loop for like, A year. I'm so thankful for having parents that were patient enough to not break my CD boom box into a thousand pieces. It would've been justified.
36:05 Actually, the Omniverse design in some aspects is more accurate. Like his split three toed feet, his headspike being longer and his arm gauntlets. DJW says that when redesigning characters he likes to mix and match their different designs from the past, which you can see with a lot of Omniverse designs (Like how Charmcaster wears her OS jacket, but with the Alien Force sigil). So I think his nanomech take is a little bit of the movie design, a little bit of Ulitmate Alien and a little bit of new personal touches. I even think Derrick based Ben's hair in Omniverse on Graham Phillips' hair in Race Against Time, to push Ben's design away from just a generic white male protagonist haircut. And it worked, the floofy hair makes him stand out more and fits Ben's personality more. It's a bit stylish, a bit "look at me, I have great hair" (especially UAF jacket Ben in the flashbacks), but also a bit goofy and cute. You can see it in Transformers Animated too. Optimus Prime in that show has the chest of Star Convoy, lips of Beast Machines Optimus Primal, and the headphones of movie Optimus, which have one pair of circles on his ears, and one pair of circles on his cheeks. Derrick ruled.
Wait he was taking influence from previous version what part of UAF had Big Chill be on steroids I know they were tackling dark subjects but dealing with substance abuse is very mature
@@allforone3427 Har har. Outside of taking inspiration from different versions of the characters, he also was great because he thought outside the box. I wouldn't think of making Big Chill buff. And it's cool seeing his cloaked form be all hunched back.

@@jasonnguyen2575 humongey lmao💀 maybe there was some audio difficulties or something even big budget movies struggle with the most simplest shit or maybe that dude who worked on the hulk 2003 probably suggested that humongosaur shouldn’t talk that much just like the hulk did
Honestly, considering how everybody except for Ben was constantly against Elena for no reason, it's pretty valid for her not to tell them her dad was being controlled. This Max would probably say "He probably learned how to control the chips and is using them against us"
To be fair "Molecular density is inert" is sci-fi jargon that does make rough sense. It means they are not in a state of phasing or possessing any density shifting properties (abilities they later display when they phase into people's skin). Also, even though 'silicone based life form' is a phrase thrown around in sci-fi (notably because after carbon silicone would be the easiest element to build DNA with) for Chromastone and Echo Echo it makes perfect sense. Silicone is abundant in rocks/crystals/sand and in plastic. Things that chromosome and echo echo respectfully are made of.
18:34 I have the personal theory that since Kai revealed she was only interested on Ben because of Blitzwolfer, Ben prefers not considering Kai as his first crush for the bad memory and maybe Gwen respects that so that's why she tells to Kevin Elena is the first one. That same experience is the reason ben doesn't use Blitzwolfer until Omniverse. Edit: okay Jesus, We know Ben 10 is not the Best when it comes to continuity but I was just saying My in universe reason for Ben not using blitzwolfer using a bit of Elena and the retcon they did with kai and stuff.
Max's distrust of Elena in this movie becomes funnier in hindsight due to Ultimate Alien, where it's retconned that *SPOILERS* She was the real Nanochip Queen all along, and the one inside Victor was just a decoy.
If the Omnitrix can influence the Nanochip DNA with Ben's human DNA in order to make Nanomech a sentient lifeform, I feel like there should have been nothing keeping Ben from unlocking a DNAlien form after scanning the Xenocytes. Either way, it's a non-sentient alien parasite merged with human DNA to make a sentient humanoid.
Word of God states that the chips are in the same boat as the Mechamorphs, so they’re both hybrid transformations. Though DJW also claimed that Nanomech is simply an matured/evolved form of the nanochips
I recall the wiki having notes saying that a DNAlien transformation was sampled during Max Out, but the Omnitrix didn't register them as a proper species and removed the transformation.
@@twinodoom I'm pretty sure the Omnitrix sampled the DNA since it did detect it. It probably isn't a transformation on its own because it's not sentient enough and it didn't get the hybrid treatment since there wasn't a need for it at the time.
Whenever people see Cartoon Network live action movies or movies in general they expect some kind of multi billion dollar project as if it's made by Mappa or any other massive animation studio forgetting it's a small crew in charge, Good analysis Kuro.
I did not think you'd do this until after the alien force series was done. I also like nanomech's voice in this one. It's almost like a metallic human. in the animation it was annoyingly and unnecessarily high-pitched. We could also see more of his adaptation powers. I feel he'd be one of the most powerful and versatile aliens in the arsenal.
Oddly, this actually would have worked for an Omniverse movie if they added added a pop up cg selection dial when he chose his form since that one did have a touch control interface with what looked to be a holographic alien selection dial. Too bad this is Alien Force where that wasn’t the case. Oh well. Lol.
I've only ever seen this movie once in my life in my uncle's house I swear to god it was a fever dream. I slept through some of it and woke up to the humongosaur transformation that shit scared the hell out of me.
Weird how Elena keeps being treated as this untrustworthy femme fatale type character, when she's really not. I don't know why everyone but Ben struggles to trust her.
I feel like the main reason they had Max so out of character in his first scene was so that they position Ben as a bad boy renegade going outside the rules. Sure it’s also to create a sense of ambiguity regarding Elena’s trustworthiness but let’s be real, Ben’s next scene has him riding a motorcycle, something he never did in the cartoon and probably can’t do legally at the age of 15. 2009?! I remember very specifically this premiered on October10th, 2010. Cartoon Network had a whole countdown to it and everything. “Missouri in February.” Can confirm. This last February here was about as cold as Greenland in Winter.
I remember this movie comming out how hyped I got. I remember being a little confused on plot. But I did enjoy watching some of my favorite characters in live action.
I think that Elena and Kai are so similar in personality and backstory that the screenwriters could have made her Kai. In my opinion, the movie would be better that way. (Sorry for bad english)
14:08 thats one detail that i really liked that they changed here in brazil, the translation team made ben and gwen call him granpa max throughout the movie, and plus the voice actors where all the same from the show, including elena i think
14:59-15:08 funny how you mention one of the writers worked on 2003 Hulk cause pretty sure they replicated the effect of the Absorbing Man's powers from that film
Since Shazam worked so well, I think WB would be stupid not to consider a live action Ben 10 film. It could honestly be a sci-if Harry Potter if they let Ben grow up through the films. Also Michael Rooker or John Goodman should play Grandpa Max.
30:03 I was thinking the same thing instantly that I assumed Gwen was going to try and track him and you gave a brilliant and funny way of putting out what I was thinking, from a ben super fan to you the ben super fan god I appreciate you talk about the littlest details because there are some things I and a lot of other people still don't know about the ben prime universe or even the multiverse as a whole, thanks for the great video, don't ever give up this passion.
About that shrinking then transforming bit, we’ve seen a couple of variations like that in the series such as when Ben transformed from Nanomech to Way Big when he was fighting Gwen. Way Big started off tiny then grew to full size.
Pretty sure at 8:58 that's Brainstorm. The spacing of the top could show the brain while the crane like structure being the arms. And as for Kevin always decorating, CGI budgets. Always the Budgets
When I was younger I always confused Elena with Kai to be honest. It was probably a combination of lack of attention, them having a some what similar red senteric color scheme, similar-ish designs and her being Ben's first crush(because we saw Kai be his crush before in the actual show) making me think that it made a lot sense she was in here and now they were giving this interesting evolution for her character. Now tho I think I just wish that this actually was the case. It would've added some more interesting tid bits to Kai and given audiences connections to make for Ben and Kai's relationship in the long run.
Even as a young kid this was the first ever live action movie I’ve seen where the cast actually look and embody their cartoon selves Also all I can think about is the Father Chrome bit from way back when
Surprised he doesn't mention how much of a canon breaker Ben's car is in this movie. If Kevin has known Ben for long enough at this point to make him a birthday present, especially a 2 month late birthday present, it can't be his 15th birthday. It has to he his 16th, but Ben at 16 didn't have the Recalibrated Omnitrix. Still crazy to me that the wiki lists this movie as canon.
I like to think that, even if some things of the live-action movies made It into the Prime timeline (the anímated series) It wasn't a 1 to 1 situation. TL;DR: this is It's own universe and something similar happened offscreen in the series.
Ryan Kelly in this movie gives me big Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson vibes, especially in the hoody. Makes sense, Percy and Ben are pretty much the same character archetype. We even get an evil version of Ben with black hair and sea green eyes in Omniverse. I'm just saying, maybe you guys as Ben 10 fans would enjoy the upcoming Percy Jackson show on Disney+ starring Walker Scobell. It'd be much more accurate to the books.
49:30 it would have been cool to do like a mix of both concepts with elena becoming both bens new love interest and a villian and have her overcome the chips influence and join the team but always with the possibility that she would turn bad again, kind of like with kevin and gwen
Bellwood being placed somewhere in Georgia would actually support the reason why Max, in the episode about the old-people's home and the slime creatures, has a southern accent.
I kinda like the Omnitrix giving Ben the wrong alien and as you mentioned Big Chill was much better in that situation than Spidermonkey so it kinda adds to the idea that the Omnitrix is sentient and gives him the alien he needs over what he wants
This movie was amazing however the only thing I would change about it is having 4 or 5 of bens aliens like add jetray and swampfire but I really love the introduction of nanomech he’s one of my absolute favorite aliens
@@jasonnguyen2575 Hey, that's the deal with product placement and licensing, you want your budget? Promote our cars, ever wonder why Fast and Furious budgets are high as hell? Not just about the action
Man, I would have LOVED to see a fully-fleshed live-action Swampfire, from the articulation and design, it could have kicked butt out of the water 😍. Not so sure about Jetray though, don't fully see it 🤔. But I agree with Brandon, they serve only under big-budget conditions to work
the fact race against time had a 5 million dollar budget, and this film had a 40 million dollar budget, yet race against time had more aliens is really crazy bruh. THOSE DAMN CAR SHOTS
I think at least one more Omnitrix Alien would have been satisfying enough for this movie. I could see a more organic, “muted” Swampfire, Chromastone or Spidemonkey especially.
In the german dub of this movie, all of the characters were dubbed by the same voice actors that prievously voiced their animated incarnations. This wasn't the case in Race against Time. Even the new characters in Alien Swarm were voiced by actors who had prievously been in Ben 10. (Notably, Victor Validus had the exact same voice as Diamondhead and Xylene's voice actress portrayed the Swarm Queen). However, when these characters returned in Ultimate Alien, they were recast, even though most of their original voice actors were still in the episodes.
At first I didn’t really like that he first gets to the size of nanomech before transforming to how he’s supposed to look like but nowadays I’m fine with it because it’s like the omnitrix processes the transformation because nanomech is actually half nanochip half human and not fully nanochip
Considering Ben turned 17 halfway through OV: OS is set in 2005. AF seasons 1 and 2 takes place between December 2009 and February 2010. Alien Swarm takes place in February 2010. AF season 3 takes place between February 2010 and December 2010. UA takes place between December 2010 and June 2011. OV (16 year old Ben) takes place between June 2011 and December 2011. OV (17 year old Ben) takes place between June 2012 and December 2012. OS Ben 10k is 30 years old, so it takes place in 2024/2025 (first appearance); and is 42 years old, so it takes place in 2036/2037 (second appearance). Ultimate Ben is 36 years old (as it takes place 20 years after UA), so his future takes place in 2030/2031. Ben 10k from OV takes place around 2032 (because Argit uses that year when they say to vote for him), so Ben 10k from OV is 37/38 years old. The reason for these dates is because: Whereas in Moonstruck, Max said he was Kevin's age (17 at the time), it's mentioned in the ep that Kennedy was president and that the colonel alludes to Kenned's 1962 speech, so Max was 17 between 1962 and 1963. Also considering that Max would be replacing Neil Armstrong in the Apollo 11 Mission, so Max must have been born in the summer of 1945. As he turns 60 in the OS (in the Ben 10,000 ep), then the OS takes place in 2005 and Ben and Gwen were born in December 1994. Note: In Many Happy Returns, Gwen says she is on spring break, however, as the third season of UA takes place after summer, so I assume that Gwen's spring break is early or late due to something that may have happened in college (maybe it's just a schedule mix-up or a problem with some Lucky Girl villain). (this information was based on a theory post on the Ben 10 wiki, which I agree with everything except that OV is not canon, because the episode “Blukic and Driba Go to Area 51”, it was never directly said that the events of the episode are the Roswell Incident, therefore, Alien X recreating he universe did not affect these events. The link to the original post is: ben10.fandom.com/f/p/3072715829280769230). Also, in Ben 10 Alien Swarm, footage from 3 years prior to present day showing Max's interrogation of Victor was dated September 22, 2006. Considering that when Max says the recording is from 3 years ago, the 3 years is not exact, but rather 3 years and a few months (since the film takes place in February, as evidenced by the fact that the car Kevin gave to Ben is a birthday present two months late, and Ben's birthday is in December (because Ben and Gwen have the same birthday, and in OV, Rook mentions that Gwen's birthday is in December)). This indicates that the film Alien Swarm takes place in February 2010, so the first and second season of AF takes place between December 2009 and February 2010. Furthermore, interestingly, the Ships began to be sent around the world by back to March 24, 2009, as seen in Ship-It documents that Kevin holds during the film.
This movie reminds me of Zach Snyder movie with how grey everything is. Big Chill and Humongosaur both have very muted color schemes here. I think this movie is pretty fun, but I personally always hated when movies do that. I prefer something like Stargirl, where there's a lot of vibrant colors.
When I first saw the film, I had completely forgotten about Kai, so seeing them portray Elaina like she was a character that we were supposed to know already, made me think that this was her (also due to the fact that she kinda looked like her, with her dark hair), just with a rewritten character. On another note, TFT rocks! A Little Faster is such a good song! Still have it on my main Spotify playlist and jam out to it every now and then!
While it does seem like Max freaked out on Validus for no good reason, it was actually (from what I read) that Victor stole dangerous alien technology from the Plumbers to deal with the threat the chips were and during the interrogation, Max just thought Victor was making up excuses for his actions
Something I noticed in your breakdown of Ben 10 destroy all aliens; you pointed out that Ben's way big has glowing green eyes but Something else I noticed was that Way Big's omnitrix was green instead of white.
I actually remember winning a call-in contest around the time of this movie, me and my mom called in all night and she had to wake me up when we finally got them on the line. I got some Ben-themed patches for a jacket, a custom T-shirt with a logo on it, masks of all the alien force aliens +Ben Gwen and Kevin, and some stickers which I still have around my room. It’s a great memory for me and really makes me look back fondly on this movie even if I think it’s only okay
38:48 Okay so not only did I strongly rememeber Nanomech just being Ben's voice, I also misremembered this line. I misremembered this whole scene actually. But one part of that is that I always remembered it being the "Humans never give up" bit first. And I did not know that one of Nanomech's powers was adaptation 'cause I remembered the line as "And drones... Drones can attack!"
As for the "lots of silicon" thing, it's long been theorized that alien lifeforms would most likely be silicon based rather than carbon based in environments with extreme temperatures.
I love the morph they did for the transformations. I do wish the Omnitrix glowed brighter during, or Ben was coated in a green layer like they do in OV
I just realized that Nanomech's transformation is a callback to the Benwolf episode, where Ben transformed very slowly, presumably it's much quicker because he's smol and because Nanomech is half-human
There for tomorrow goes unbelievably hard so having a song by them for this movie back in the day had me hype af, I'll never forget dialing the number for Kevin's challenger back in the day. Good times
I'm a little surprised you never mentioned the whole thing w/ the fake queen and Elena, but I figure you're saving it for the UA episode breakdown/quick review.
Yeah the retcon for the events of this movie being part of Elena’s plan to reconnect with Ben & the Plumbers is so BS. It falls apart in that very episode.
Hey Kuro, my friends and I did a concept in our group chat where we came up with our own playlist of 10 aliens if we got to select them for our own omnitrix. I thought it’d be cool to see a video where you guys talk about what aliens you’d pick if you could have an omnitrix with just 10 aliens to start! Just a cool video idea!
Always had a head canon that Ed’s garage got remodeled into Max’s Plumbing by the time of OV, and that the underground base we see is the same as OV’s!
@TheGlassesPro Careful, the wiki is fan run. I’ve never heard that info from anyone who’s worked on the show so if it’s unsubstantiated, it might be someone just added their fan theory as if it were fact.
If they ever make a third live action Ben 10 movie, preferably theatrical with a good budget, I would love if they made a movie after the events of Omniverse. Have Ben be in his early 20's and give references to the previous shows but you can introduce a new status quo to make it fresh for old and new audiences and you can mix and match any of the aliens from any series you would wan to to show off (as you said Kuro, hopefully 10 haha). It would be fun to see who they would cast as Ben too. Also bring back the rock soundtracks!
36:01 Nanomech’s omnitrix badge resembles the original omnitrix icon, and stays like that for a few seconds, right before nanomech flies off it changes back to the actual recalibrated omnitrix icon on the badge, kinda annoys me
This is a very pleasant surprise I wasn’t sure if we were getting a breakdown of this movie or not. I am member when this came out they were raffling off Kevin’s car.
I always thought the half human line was trying to say that Ben was almost like a reverse on a chip controlling a human, he was a human controlling a chip.

Same here too!!!!!!!!
I love the song especially that one AMV I watched
Actually I learned about this song from the NERF N-Strike series commercials, and it took me years to finally hear this song again in full.
I still listen to it
36:05 Actually, the Omniverse design in some aspects is more accurate.
Thanks for the info.

Things that chromosome and echo echo respectfully are made of.
cool facts.
Some metals can also contain silicone (although I forgot witch ones) so clockwork could be a silicone lifeform.
"you don't recognize your own dad" so true, brilliant line from kuro 10:54
Maybe they just wanted to retconn it for the movie

Before anything is said about the movie, let me say this.
Just A Little Faster is a banger.
Preach bro
I absolutely adore how on point Kevin is in this movie
Same
@TheGlassesPro just because it's realistic doesn't mean it's not annoying
I assumed he’d do it between 2 and 3
@TheGlassesPro You all know that Nanomech is voiced by director Alex Winter right?
6:45 they also weirdly don't have a twistable dial on that prop so ryan just has to kinda slide his fingers across it lol
Oddly, this actually would have worked for an Omniverse movie if they added added a pop up cg selection dial when he chose his form since that one did have a touch control interface with what looked to be a holographic alien selection dial. Too bad this is Alien Force where that wasn’t the case. Oh well. Lol.
@@SakuraLovesong lol yeah.
"Lotta silicon in this show"

I've only ever seen this movie once in my life in my uncle's house I swear to god it was a fever dream. I slept through some of it and woke up to the humongosaur transformation that shit scared the hell out of me.

Weird how Elena keeps being treated as this untrustworthy femme fatale type character, when she's really not. I don't know why everyone but Ben struggles to trust her.
well she does end up being the villain after all soo
Femme fatale? She's a goddamn yandere.

14:08 thats one detail that i really liked that they changed here in brazil, the translation team made ben and gwen call him granpa max throughout the movie, and plus the voice actors where all the same from the show, including elena i think
Finally!!!
I’ve been asking this since the start of Ben 10: Alien Force: Season Two breakdown.
Also, Car Shot!!! from that Diamondbolt video.
Considering what happens with Elena in Ben 10 ultimate alien grandpa max's' mistrust has some merits
29:30 "You can't break Plumber ranks, Benji!"
As a reference to Kuro in Diamondbolt's Alien Swarm review.
This film felt like a weird fever dream. The late 2000's was a great time to be alive
Its happening
Yeah it looks more like brainstorm than Humoungousaur or Cannonbolt
When I was younger I always confused Elena with Kai to be honest. It was probably a combination of lack of attention, them having a some what similar red senteric color scheme, similar-ish designs and her being Ben's first crush(because we saw Kai be his crush before in the actual show) making me think that it made a lot sense she was in here and now they were giving this interesting evolution for her character.
Now tho I think I just wish that this actually was the case. It would've added some more interesting tid bits to Kai and given audiences connections to make for Ben and Kai's relationship in the long run.
Same I was bad with names so until Omniverse came o it I assumed they were the same person
I like how Alien Swarm seems more canon then the first Ben 10 movie, because Ben’s car, Nanomech, even Alaina were in Ultimate Alien
Eon was also in ultimate alien and is more reoccurring in omniverse
Even as a young kid this was the first ever live action movie I’ve seen where the cast actually look and embody their cartoon selves
Also all I can think about is the Father Chrome bit from way back when
Surprised he doesn't mention how much of a canon breaker Ben's car is in this movie.
I always preferred Ben's car over Kevin's. Kind of wish we saw more of it in Ultimate Alien
This movie was amazing however the only thing I would change about it is having 4 or 5 of bens aliens like add jetray and swampfire but I really love the introduction of nanomech he’s one of my absolute favorite aliens
Yeah most of the Alien Force aliens could translate well in live action. If only they had more budget
@@BrandonTBlackwell I know..
Yeah get rid of some of the car shots for aliens. Winter for some reason thought that vehicles=older audience and it perplexes me.
What Nanomech's not good enough for you huh?
In the german dub of this movie, all of the characters were dubbed by the same voice actors that prievously voiced their animated incarnations. This wasn't the case in Race against Time. Even the new characters in Alien Swarm were voiced by actors who had prievously been in Ben 10. (Notably, Victor Validus had the exact same voice as Diamondhead and Xylene's voice actress portrayed the Swarm Queen). However, when these characters returned in Ultimate Alien, they were recast, even though most of their original voice actors were still in the episodes.
Here in Brazil we got the Voice cast in both movies
Echo Echo, Chromastone and Loadstar could have made good additions to the live action cast of aliens in this film
Gotta love another video, especially when the original with diamondbolt was funny and this one is more of a usual break down
I love when Nanomech first made his appearance
At first I didn’t really like that he first gets to the size of nanomech before transforming to how he’s supposed to look like but nowadays I’m fine with it because it’s like the omnitrix processes the transformation because nanomech is actually half nanochip half human and not fully nanochip
Considering Ben turned 17 halfway through OV:
OS is set in 2005.
The reason for these dates is because:
Whereas in Moonstruck, Max said he was Kevin's age (17 at the time), it's mentioned in the ep that Kennedy was president and that the colonel alludes to Kenned's 1962 speech, so Max was 17 between 1962 and 1963.
I prefer something like Stargirl, where there's a lot of vibrant colors.
i agree, i would rather have the movie be more brighter n colorful rather than like u said the blandness of everything
I would really enjoy you and ash doing a tier list of all ben's love interests throughout the franchise
Been waiting for this one. Keep up the amazing work!
33:10 i think what she meant is like, they altered his physical appearance that she didnt recognize him but now that it was clearer
14:27
That reminds me of some of the Ben 10 toys that I love
While it does seem like Max freaked out on Validus for no good reason, it was actually (from what I read) that Victor stole dangerous alien technology from the Plumbers to deal with the threat the chips were and during the interrogation, Max just thought Victor was making up excuses for his actions
31:50 I remember hearing this song back when I watched the live action movie. It was so sick and it still is to this day!

38:48
Okay so not only did I strongly rememeber Nanomech just being Ben's voice, I also misremembered this line.
My biggest issue with this movie was we only got 2 alien force Aliens and Kevin doesn’t keep his armor long enough
I always thought it was funny they gave Nanomech a chipmunk voice in both UA and Omniverse.
it’s very disappointing to not see more aliens in live action. i feel like chromastone, echo echo, and maybe swampfire were all doable
Kuro and his cats is such a cute thing
@30:05 Damn that last sad "no?" caught me pretty hard lol
Always had a head canon that Ed’s garage got remodeled into Max’s Plumbing by the time of OV, and that the underground base we see is the same as OV’s!
@TheGlassesPro Careful, the wiki is fan run. I’ve never heard that info from anyone who’s worked on the show so if it’s unsubstantiated, it might be someone just added their fan theory as if it were fact.

“It’s time for you to give us ya money”
If they ever make a third live action Ben 10 movie, preferably theatrical with a good budget, I would love if they made a movie after the events of Omniverse. Have Ben be in his early 20's and give references to the previous shows but you can introduce a new status quo to make it fresh for old and new audiences and you can mix and match any of the aliens from any series you would wan to to show off (as you said Kuro, hopefully 10 haha). It would be fun to see who they would cast as Ben too. Also bring back the rock soundtracks!
I’m pretty sure in the show Gwen wouldn’t be so calm about Kevin throwing a guy out a window
It's survival of the fittest, duck, and apparently, Kevin's the fittest.
35:47Alex went to film school with Dwayne McDuffie.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the intro?
Of course I love the idea of Kevin in a beanie
So, this is something I didn't realize until now, Ben's fight inside Validus is probably why he's dead in Ultimate Alien.
Like he accidentally hit some of his nervous systems with his energy blasts
“Worked on 2003 Hulk and rise of the silver surfer.” Ah so only the greats, huh
36:01 Nanomech’s omnitrix badge resembles the original omnitrix icon, and stays like that for a few seconds, right before nanomech flies off it changes back to the actual recalibrated omnitrix icon on the badge, kinda annoys me
This is a very pleasant surprise I wasn’t sure if we were getting a breakdown of this movie or not.
I am member when this came out they were raffling off Kevin’s car.
What I liked is that when they dubbed this in Romanian they used the same voice actors as the show proper so it gave it a little extra authenticity

Never noticed until today. They misspelled Surveillance every single time on the screen at 16:30 "Survelliance" instead of "Surveillance"
This was the only Ben 10 related thing that I got the dvd for and I watched everything on it
I always thought the half human line was trying to say that Ben was almost like a reverse on a chip controlling a human, he was a human controlling a chip.
Right as i was rewatching some old breakdowns...nice timing
Fun fact: In Poland translation, Nanomeh did keep his first name and is known as a Benchip
EDIT: My bad. I got confused. His name was NanoBen.
