Very late to the party but.... Just obtained some myself and will use it on Kobudo weapons. Really appreciate the tutorial. This will be my evening. Oiling weapons and letting them dry. I hope it will give it an excellent finish and natural wood color. I prefered hemp oil to other due to the fact it is natural, dries relatively fast and is reflective of my own personality which should show in your weapon of choice. Mine is the Tonfa. So I have a few of these to oil. Will give details on results in about 3 4 weeks
I would love to use this on a desk that we are making instead of a polyurethane. Is the Tung oil or the Hemp oil buildable like polyurethane is? Could I get a decent layer of protection with it? My kids will be using this, and I would love for it to be very wipeable - similar to polurethane, but without all the VOC's?
hey jennylyn, thank you soooo much for this video! I do have a quick question....how long does the hemp oil have to stay on the wood surface before you can buff it and what would use as the buffer? Also, would love to see a video on using beeswax with milk paint to achieve the "chippy look". You are such an inspiration to me! Thanks again, sabrina
100% Tung oil is not a drying oil. It is a hardening oil or curing oil and does not need a solvent to dry. Multiple layers make an excellent water resistant surface. I am not familiar with hemp oil, so I cannot comment.

Just wondering if the oils go rancid on the wood over time or is a specailly made hemp or tung oil just for wood ?
It is made specifically for wood and won't go rancid. Thank you!
How soon after applying Stain & Finishing Oil I can apply Hemp Oil? And how long is curing process after that? Both products by Fusion
How long before you can use furniture treated with hemp oil?

Could you please tell me if this would work on a child's desk chairs or does it gum up on chairs or oil transfer to school paper?
No it is a pure drying oil and once cured it will not leave oil residue.
Whats the brand name of the hemp oil and where did you purchase it ?
Stefan Jaskot You can purchase it directly from our website- www.homesteadhouse.ca/products/finishes/hemp-oil-finishing.html
Was this wood completely sanded down or can it be added to a wood surface which already has a top coat ?
Hemp Oil works best over raw or prepped wood, it soaks into the grain and cures hard leaving a water resistant finish
Hello,
Could these be used on a cedar deck?
Chantal DuPerron Yes you can! www.homesteadhouse.ca/products/finishes/hemp-oil-finishing.html
Can you use hemp oil on chalk painted projects
