      Can you please tell me about the total time commitment required on a daily basis for these 60 days?
      And also my second question is what are the practices under hatha yoga which we need to do for Samyama and is it twice or once a day?

    Namaskaram,
    Preparation for Samyama was never a challenge for me either with food or Sadhana. In my experience, if we make this into another activity, it is a big challenge. There are hardly any restrictions.

    Anna, but ghee is allowed. It was told in pre samyama meet that ghee can be consumed but other dairy products should be avoided

    • @projecthatha
      @projecthatha  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, ghee is something that’s debatable. Ideally they suggest to avoid, but you can have a teaspoon full max if you want. This was suggested in our Pre Samyama meet.

    Isha Yoga seems like one of the most expensive routes of spiritual practice. How does any of this differ from something like full Vipassana that's offered for free?

    • @zitizen
      @zitizen ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really expensive. Comparing to other yoga offerings, Isha total cost from bottom to top is less than 9k.

    • @g59fan50
      @g59fan50 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zitizen that's dependent on location and what yoga offerings you're even comparing to. If you mean other mainstream offerings that operate similarly, it might be cheaper dependent on location. But there's also plenty of authentic lineages that offer complete systems at the cost of maybe just one Isha program. But what I was asking about was, how does it compare to much cheaper and even free paths like Vipassana? While Isha might be a good path for many, it is worth noting that it is one of the more expensive paths. Some masters with unbroken lineages will even offer you entire system for free of yoga. Why opt for the more expensive option?

    • @zitizen
      @zitizen ปีที่แล้ว

      @@g59fan50 each organisation has its own scale of doing things. Whenever something is free, people might not value it.
      I think no yoga offering must be free.

    • @g59fan50
      @g59fan50 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zitizen It's true that each organization has a scale, Vipassana is also international so different ways of doing things too to get to higher scales, but I disagree with that it should never be free. The people who need it most most likely wouldn't be able to touch such healing practices with such a premise. Sometimes things have to not be about the money.
      Alan Watts had a great lecture about intention and how if money and notoriety are the underlying intentions, the root intention inevitably detracts with what one may think the intention is. Sadhguru has been good with still keeping true to yogic principles and valuing it, but there's plenty of examples where all it takes is the course of time for conflicts of interest to begin a shift towards an unintended direction.
      If money is the only means to devotion, gratitude and discipline, then why are there so many devotees to Vipassana?

    • @zitizen
      @zitizen ปีที่แล้ว

      @@g59fan50 True that, but with enough money rather than depending on donations, could have scaled at a much faster pace.
      Yes, a lot of organisations exist offering yoga for free. But I'm sure all of them are facing the scaling issue due to lack of funds.
      Because food and place inevitably have a cost. Even if the participant doesn't pay, there is someone who has to pay.

    Bro it's not a good idea to share what you should and shouldn't eat to prepare for samyama. It can be misunderstood. Anyways participants are guided well about these things.
