I watched half of it, thought "is this based on an actual story?" and googled it, knowing that it was based on a true story just made the movie experience THAT much more amazing
Randomly selected a movie to watch, and turned out to be one of the most inspirational things I've ever seen. And it's true. True inspiration is a powerful thing. To see someone or something that shows you there is indeed something powerful inside us.
I know I am probably very very late to this but I came across this movie just last night and may I say it left me first of bawling my eyes out. It left me also speechless. Amazing amazing work and production and now I can proudly call it my new favourite film
Loved the movie! However scared the hell out of me as my sister and her husband and 2 daughters + doggie started sailing from South Africa about a year ago. They are currently in the Caribbean but had some hear raising experiences. Which made me stress a lot more. The ocean is huge and water definitely not your friend when things go wrong. But they have had some wonder support along the way. Which I am extremely thankful for especially because they had very little sailing experience when they started!

No me imagino estar ahi; no por la Soledad; porque, no estás solo; estás con toda la naturaleza plena lo bueno y lo no tan bueno; la caricia de un atardecer calmo, y la furia de una tormenta que parece no tener piedad.
I have a few questions, if there's anyone to answer this please do!! 1. Did she actually go 15 feet underwater and then bob back up to the surface or was that an addition to the movie to make it more interesting?? 2. Did they actually have a storm in Australia when she was close to home? 3. Does she still sail??
She did it, but it lasted few seconds. In the movie they stopped the time to let people know about the family, informed of EPIRB's switching on. I think that when a capsized boat goes under water in the real world, she comes back to the surface in few seconds or sinks.

I first thought that it was just a normal movie until the end where you see the real footage, I was surprised it"s a true story, it's kind of insane !

she still sails and her boat did go under water but it wasn’t for very long as it is in the movie 😊
