    Thank you! I've had such a mental block block around learning this software and you are the first person who has explained it in a clear and uncomplicated way. The named view element led me to named positions etc which would've helped me so much in my master's program working with (and getting lost in) oddly shaped experimental models. You're a lifesaver. Thank you so, so much!

      @hfc3696 You can render and create 3d models in AutoCAD as well. Both AutoCAD and Rhino can do 2d and 3d.

    Great Introduction! Please make more Introductory Rhino videos, but more in depth into the interface.
    Your voice presentation is great, and you explain things very well, not too fast, not to slow. You also do well explaining the "why" behind the "way". You could easily have a larger $$$ making TH-cam channel~Thanks

    thank you for this! I'm in an interdisciplinary studio at ISU full of fifth year architects (Im a junior in industrial) and trying to learn Rhino has been a bitch, especially when the first assignment is modeling a whole ass building lol. shoutout Shelby Doyle.

    I'd like to know if you can do elliptical domes in Rhino for Architecture. If so, can you guide me to that lesson?

    What are the softwares the architect use? And what is the most useful software to work in a studio or a company?

    • @natemckewon2663
      @natemckewon2663  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Tien, I realize this is a bit late, sorry! In short, it depends on your use. From my experience, SketchUp & Revit are two heavily utilized and advertised programs that are user-friendly and easy to learn and use. Sketchup for concept design, and Revit to "record" the design and develop the details in plans, elevations, sections, and so on once the concept design is approved. However, Rhino is becoming more popular with complex parametric modeling and handling curves for organic-like designs.

    Where can we access those images for the module training?

      Kevin, the source of inspiration behind these structures and this Rhino tutorial came from the Serpentine Pavilions Competition every year in London. Found at this website. www.serpentinegalleries.org/explore/pavilion. Thank you for asking! If you are asking about the images I created in Rhino, I would be happy to share for your reference.

    why dont u start tutorial instead of talking

    • @natemckewon2663
      @natemckewon2663  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Kinzang, good question. A bit of context, I created these series of videos for my ISU independent study of Rhino in collaboration with my professor. The "talking" in the beginning was to frame the following discussion of the basics of the video. The following videos in this series do dive straight into the tutorials as this video is an introduction to the rest.
