I have an older model DVP2800 I got around 2015, its shape is nicer but does not have HDMI. Occasionally I use it with CRT TV through composite and the picture is brilliant.

I have this one. Been trying to watch a Divx file that is 2:36:42 so that I can share with my parents, as I watch most everything from my computer. I have tried this file on both USB flash drive, and DVD-R, and it stops at the same time on both mediums at the 1:29:00 mark (approximately), and starts "Initializing" the next file. I know there is nothing wrong with the original Divx.Avi file that I downloaded. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! I've been using Philips Divx players since 2006 or 2007, and have never had this problem.
few DVDs and Blu-ray discs are sold here in Belgium, especially streaming here. They cost a lot less here. DVD (new release) = 20€ Blu-ray (new release) = 25€ 4K (new release) = 35 - 50€
For me it was a POS experience. No remote key worked, it displays "invalid key" and it does not play any type of CD/DVD. Probably a programming defect on the boat-factory in China. I know Philips do not exist anymore as an electronics manufacturer but still... what a shame for a past glory
I am going to buy this cos the price is a steal and can play dvd even vcds. The HDMI socket is a bonus indeed.
I want this one for playing my cds! 😘
