It’s really sad just how much pron addiction isn’t spoken on man. There’s boys/men who are ruined by it, really. It’s even sadder when you realize the companies who make it study how to make it more addictive. Same with food and drugs since all 3 have the same effect on your brain. It’s such a problem, and anybody trying to fight any addiction will always have my support Bruh, fr.

Sex/porn addiction isnt actually a thing. It can be a compulsion but not an addiciton, they are two very different things. Theres been quite a bit of study on this, with addictions like drugs and gambling when the addict sees the subject of addiction their brain activity spikes and they get excited. With sex/porn compulsion the opposite happens, with the brain activity lowering. Additionally the sex/porn compulsion isnt its own issue but always is a symptom of something else like depression or anxiety and if that is treated it goes away while addiction is its own disease specifically.
Also the majority of people who describe themselves as porn addicts actually use porn an average amount with no harm on their external life and instead believe show because of shame.
I would recommend read the studies done on this topic because they all show that porn addiction does not exist. The goal of treatment for these people is to get them to have a normal relationship with porn and sex tbat does not stress themselves or others while with drugs or gambling the goal is to get them to stop forever and never touch it again

Pron addiction is not a game similar to any other addiction. It can quite literally ruin your life if it gets completely out of control, and clouds your understanding of reality when it comes to women and intimacy. It's kind of understanding why Kanye went down the path he did in regards to marrying Kim.

It’s completely normal to be attracted to naked images of the opposite sex. The problem arises when young people fall for neo liberal propaganda designed to make them feel bad for being young and promiscuous. So they seek fulfilment through pron. There is a reason the late 90s was full of divorce, and it’s because the youth of the 80s faced the exact same culture they face now.
It’s not about creating happy family units, it’s about keeping people locked into our debt based systems and making sure they don’t flee for greener pastures during periods of economic depression.

The good thing about this addiction is that it’s relatively easier to stay sober when compared to other addictions, the hard part is getting there. And you’ll probably have to learn how to avoid certain words or images. I know a guy who won’t walk by a Victoria secret, or watch a sex scene in a movie. While that might be extreme for many, it’s what he needs. But unlike chemical drugs your brain is not actually dependent on pornography. It IS as real an addiction as any of those but chemically it’s different. Meaning that once you break free, your brain can actually go back to how it was before, with time. Good luck my friend. Remember not to shame spiral. Look that up. If you relapse. It’s ok, it’s going to happen. You’ll get there. It’s good to feel a little disappointed when you relapse but don’t be ashamed because you are human.

As someone who has had an on and off again addiction to porn since 11, my best advice is this; don't let it get to you. Dont let it consume your life, there are so many better ways to waste your time than watching porn, and frankly more effective ways to do so. As someone who was heavily introverted and had essentially no social skills as a kid, due to my porn addiction, I had to learn to live without, which frankly is the best thing a person can do. The best thing that has helped me with my porn addiction is learning to play an instrument, its an amazing hobby that has such a positive impact on me emotionally. Try something new y'all, dont stay in the house all day, and if so, find something better to do with yourself

You’re doing first thing and that’s being open about what’s happening. Firstly, no one is judging you despite how terrible you feel.
We live in a hyper-sexualized culture that has been manipulating the media over the past thirty years, grooming all of us to accept this as normal. Believe me, you can’t go anywhere without something pornographic popping up.
There is hope, though! Jesus loves you and loves you no matter how crummy you feel. Religion says you aren’t good enough so work harder, Jesus says I am enough to give me all your problems and I’ll wipe you clean.
I’ll be praying for you! Keep fighting, seek the Lord, and continue to shine your light!

Seeing what I saw left me STUNNED and confused as I hadnt even learned how it actually “goes down” by then. It definitely impacted me and the way I can easily and nonchalantly sexualize things for no reason, as well as partake in chronic activities mixed between self and coupled. One thing I dont like to call it is an addiction because it is not in the DSM-5 , because when I don’t partake in those activities, when I CAN’T, I don’t go through withdrawals the way an addict does. What’s your addiction?
Is it money, is it girls , is it weed?
    I’ve been afflicted
By not 1, not 2, but all 3
    She’s got the same thing
About me , but more about us
    She’s coming over
So I guess that means I’m her drugs
    Just let me peak now
I mean damn I’m so curious
    She’s got a lover
So the lies and the lust is a rush
    Times of the essence
I need you to be spontaneous
    Roll up the doja
    Henny and Coca-Cola
    Then I’m coming over
    Cause it’s never over
    Chorus:
Why everything that’s supposed to be bad make me feel so good?
Everything they told me not to is exactly what I would.
I tried to stop man I tried the best I could
    But..
    you make me smile.
Lyrics like these exemplify why Kanye means so much to people.
In interviews and on songs he’s so uniquely himself yet so relatable..
He basically says to the world this is who I am and this is how I feel and I know it’s unpopular or not ok to say publicly or else people will think I am bad or weird but I’m gonna say it anyway… and we may not always agree or relate to his life or thoughts specifically yet we can empathize.
I learned a lot about empathy being a Kanye fan, you know at times he’s hurting and may not do or say the right thing but you’re willing to try to understand or may actually understand because what he’s saying hits home.
I’m guessing for the people who don’t like him can’t relate or just forget that bigger picture that he’s a human like the rest of us that just happens to be great at expressing himself through art that’s mainstream and popular.

Gabor Matte has a lot to say about it.
_Emotional Intelligence (EI) is about understanding and managing your own emotions, and recognizing and influencing others' emotions. It helps you make better decisions, handle stress, control impulses, stay motivated, understand people better, and build stronger relationships. A natural addiction? But it's not natural for a man to see THAT many women naked, constantly, everyday. I understand men have sexual desires, especially young men when their hormones are all crazy. But, this addiction can harm a person's personal life and lead to more depression/anxiety. There are a lot of men who have never been in relationships or even tried because of porn. And then when they do get into a relationship it affects their sex life. Some guys, even young ones suffer from ED when having sex in real life because they are so used to the crazy/fake bodies and actions in porn. So real sex is just lackluster to them. I would say yes it's natural for men and young men to have these desires, but porn is not natural at all. It does HIGHJACK our natural desires and twist them. It's like a food addiction or sugar addiction or something. Yea it's natural for us to want to eat as much as we can and eat sugar for energy. Ultimately though, that is not healthy for us even.

I don’t think we’ll get anything meaningful from Kanye ever again in regards to music. So sad. His psychiatric conditions are so far gone.

Did you watch the Alex Jones interview? That may have been the first time Kanye was directly challenged on his views in a face to face. He made ALEX FUCKING JONES uncomfortable during that interview lmfao.

And that still doesn’t take away from the fact that this vid is about his addiction. The og comment makes no sense because he had to fight for years to get a deal to drop the collage drop out.

Everyone has one form.of addiction or the other. Small addiction , dangerous addiction, silly addictions, unknown addictions, phone addiction and the list goes on.
So long the addiction isn't life threatening to anyone, then it is what it is, a simple pleasure of life that makes us human.
Let he who has no form of addiction cast the first stone.
By the way eating and watching movies till late can also become an uncontrollable habit that become addictions.
