I decided to give the AC 3 a try. I played on it today with my Zagar 80 Aura running through my mixer in my studio, and I wasn’t disappointed. I was able to cut through the mix easily and really had a nice sound. I don’t care much for the compressor, but as for the pedal itself I think it sounded pretty good, and was easy to dial in my desired tone. Might have different option of the compressor if I hook it up through the XLRs or through my acoustic amp? Just haven’t got around to that yet! You all have a great day!
I've been using an AC3 for a couple of years now. The 'Target' and 'Source' guitar controls are a bit gimmicky as they're just glorified tone controls but I've found it to be a great sounding pedal. Easy to use without having to use menus and I love the variery of outputs. My only criticism is that tuning LEDs could have been brighter for outside gigs.
Nice to see someone who has done a more recent and thorough review on this pedal. Great job on the video! I’m currently using a Line 6 PodGo for my acoustic guitar for worship music in church. It’s a bit more involved with creating tones but it’s really good. I’m interested in picking up one of these for something less complex. Cheers!
Great review indeed, thx for posting ! One question: the way I'm hearing comment at 1:05, there is a way to completely bypass the modeling section (source and target guitars) to let through the tone from the guitar being played, in this case the Maton, without any processing. I always thought we couldn't bypass the modeling section ?
Great review I am currently looking for some to enhance my acoustic live sound. Someone commented that you cant use the effects at the same time is this true?
Thank you - appreciate that! With this unit you can use the standard reverb on the left, one of the effects at a time in the middle of the unit such as the pad sound, then also the compressor and boost at the same time if you wanted to 👍
It’s more to tone match your guitar really but you may be able to get certain results trying it! I don’t think it will totally model an electric to acoustic though 🎶
Thanks so much much. Your original time is fantastic.

Can you use this pedal to make an electric guitar sound like an acoustic guitar?
