    I never knew you could get a unit like this. Like you, I love as true at it can be sounding from an acoustic guitar. I’ve always mostly recorded with a matched stereo pencil condenser mics. I’ve experimented a lot many years ago and for me that’s about as organic true sounding as you can get. I even sold all my Boss made in Japan pedals, I just play clean on my electric guitars now. May be it’s an age thing. Since I hit 50 years of age, I preferred clean organic sounds, I’m now 60. Thanks for educating us Jonathan.

    I have the AC-2 and really like it, but in my setup I have it first in my pedal chain and only use its EQ, Boost, Pickup type selector and Source Guitar selector. Everything else is managed downstream in my pedal chain. The AC-3 takes larger real estate on the pedal board and I couldn't justify the extra Target Guitar selector. Both pedals are really good, but their effectiveness greatly depends on your use case and pedal rig design. As standalone only devices is a great option. With other pedals, plan out the signal and what to use.

    You’re right. If you have a good sounding acoustic you don’t want it to have a processed sound.

    Jonathan... So many channels are just talk and uninteresting riffs; I love that you take the opportunity to play for us. Isn’t that what it’s all about? (I am 69, besides The Beach Boys , my introduction to music was show tunes… I loved South Pacific and that Manhattan Transfer [Birdland], album was a huge influence when I was a kid.

    I love the 70s kind of Merc dashboard look of this Jon. I was wondering about this one so thanks for the review. The Tak Has a very nice but particular tone. It would be nice to have the options in a future background recording.

    K lock or Kingston lock is a way to lock down you electronic built in the 90s and reaches some success amoung companies and was placed on many laptops and other devices but not many used it because it required buying a superset typically expensive lock

    Great! Very nice presentation of Zoom AC3 ....
    I have Yamaha SLG200N (nylon) and I am interested in possibility to get realistic sound of a steel string guitar (Jambo, Dreadnought, 12 Strings...) via Zoom AC3?
    Thank you in advance for help.

    Great heartfelt playing. But I'll be honest and say that I didn't like the brightness of the sound. I wish it had a bit more warmth and depth. I wonder if this is a problem for most acoustic simulators. I have a Mooer Acoustikar and also the Hotone Ampero, which has some built-in acoustic simulator presets. I really have to back off the highs for both.

    Pretty nice looking tool; the surface, is it real Bamboo or so, or just vinyl?? And the knobs are looking quite plastic'ish, no metall? But overall it looks fresh and stylish. I have to try, what "guitars" it can emulate and listen how it sounds in real - without your exquisite playing. It is not fair to use something like this with a Martin, imo. Thank you for sharing this and stay well. 🖖☮️

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No Guenter.. all vinyl. Knobs are plastic not metal ✌️❤️

    I'm trying to figure out the Stereo output. It did sound "better' to me using the XLR outputs to a Roland 110 Stereo amp. Thoughts?

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your Roland amp has stereo inputs, all you need are adaptors for Xlr-1/4 inch. If not, you are better off rubbing it in stereo to the main house✌️❤️
