50 year Lions fan here. This is uncharted territory for us, but I love it!
Never in my life could u mention them in this conversation. Oh and look how good they are now. Almost like it all starts in the trenches or something
Trent Williams was the best offensive lineman for years, but I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that throne is passed to Penei Sewell.
Not yet, but very soon
@@Kenny49ERS it’s sooner rather then later my friend. Trent was the man but the torch has been passed, Penei is the new king of the crown for best olineman. Trent’s going to be a hall of famer,no doubt.
@@mrkwells4 maybe right
Go Lions! 💙🦁!
1. Lions 2. Lions 3. Lions
Tell us you don’t watch anybody except the lions without saying you don’t watch anybody but the lions.
All the Lions need is a QB that doesn’t choke when it matters.
@@senator558Sounds like you are still believing what McVay told the Ram owners when asking for a QB trade.
Goff took the lions to thier best standing in 30 years.
The lions need to have a prove it again year before I would call them a top 5 unit
@@JMichael-xc7uu Yep. And he got to the playoffs and to a SB under McVay. He’s a good regular season QB that can’t win the big game. McVay was right.
There were a lot of 3rd downs where Atlanta still needed to go 9 or 10 yards for a first and Arthur Smith would call a run where another team would call a pass. Those runs would be fairly successful relative to your average run, but Atlanta would still have to punt the ball away. By calling such a conservative play, there's also no chance for the defense to get a pressure or sack. It's easy to think an O-line is better than it is when the coach is being ultra-conservative like that.
Its bullshit to blame the playcaller..thats what losing teams always do.
The Lion's run on 3rd and 10 occasionally, but they usually get close if not the 1st down, and Cambell is going for it on 4th down, much of the time.
There were also a lot of times where Ridder held the ball too long, it could be better with a better QB
The Rams Oline has got to be up there
How’d that Atlanta line look against Watt week 1?
The loss of Jason Kelce is not getting the weight it should in this discussion. His retirement is going to have an enormous impact on how the unit plays. Keeping the Eagles in the top 10 is fine but not top 3.
He still has to prove it but Kelce hand picked Jurgens when he was drafted and he learned from Kelce for two seasons. Can’t draw up a better successor plan than what Philly did
Thats what I was thinking- its a big change with out him
Tush push over now
I am getting excited for Kirk Cousins. The Vikings had a bottom 5 offensive line for Kirk's first 5 years in Minnesota. and he still had a quarterback rating over 100. Last year the Vikings o-line was a little better and he had runaway MVP numbers when he was injured. Now going to a top 5 ....... look out NFL.
much better at run-blocking than pass-blocking though
NFC South is certainly a winnable division for the Falcons.
As a Lion's fan, I was glad to see both Cousins and Fields leave the division.
Cousin's is a good QB. He's pretty clutch at big times.
And Fields was hard for our Defense to corral. As we're most good running QBs, escaping the pocket up the middle. I'm hoping a healthy Reader fixes that problem. A healthy Davenport would make it even better. And we look to have some Dawgs in the secondary now. Hopefully they can pull these guys all together. But, for the first time since I've been watching them closely (89), I actually have faith in the coaching staff to be able to get the best out of the players. And a GM to actually pick the right players that fit the coaches vision.
Chris Lindstrom nuff said
And yet ... the 49ers have the best offense. The best run game. The highest ranked qb in virtually every meaningful stat. Your explanation ... "Every offensive lineman plays better than they are". Nah bruh, they are how they play. How they play is all that matters, and your opinions mean nothing.
Gooooo Lionssss
Had to do top 3 so they could feel okay not putting colts…
Colts
Go Lions!
Jordan Love barely got touched lmao
The packers maybe the team to actually beat- kind of going unnoticed
Packers played well last season. I was hoping both the Packers and the Ravens would get knocked out of the playoffs before we had to play them. It went exactly the way I was hoping it would go before the playoff games stated. Until the second half of the NFC Title game.
It was worth losing home field advantage for the title game to me.
It thought the Lion's matched up well with SF. The Lions are kind of the younger version of SF. And with a better QB at this stage.
But getting run over by Baltimore and Thanksgiving at home made me cautious.
Last thing I'd have wanted last year was to get knocked out by GB in the playoffs. Especially at home. Going to SF and losing a close one would suck, but not stunt your growth. And I thought the game was 50/50 going into it.
I also think if the Lion's would have held out, and beat SF, I think the Lions would have beat KC. Because even though KC got better when Kelce and the DL guy, don't remember his name came back. But so did the Lion's as the season went on as the rookies started asserting themselves.
I didn't see GB beating Dallas in Dallas.
I was kind a pissed. I wanted the Lion's to go down there and beat them in their house "again".
First
I like Detroits line..but watch the thanksgiving game vs gb and you might think otherwise. Goff takes some hits.
Ragnow was out that game

packers should be on here but i doubt they will be
